Multi-objective optimization for the optimum shape design is introduced in aerodynamics using the Game theory. Based on the control theory, the employed optimizer and the negative feedback are used to implement the constraints. All the constraints are satisfied implicitly and automatically in the design. Furthermore,the above methodology is combined with a formulation derived from the Game theory to treat multi-point airfoil optimization. Airfoil shapes are optimized according to various aerodynamics criteria. In the symmetric Nash game, each “player” is responsible for one criterion, and the Nash equilibrium provides a solution to the multipoint optimization. Design of an Expert Control System for Biogas Fermentation Process

Controlling the biogas fermentation process is the key for maintaining stable operation of biogas system and increasing gas yield. Aiming at features of biogas fermentation process and difficulties of control, a practical control scheme is proposed combining the abundant experience of biogas experts. And it discussed the structural design and hardware configuration of the expert control system, established the database and role base, and designed the control strategy of production system inference. The design scheme with ZigBee and PDA technology as core is employed so as to solve problems of environmental factor detection and data transfer management. The test result shows that the deviation of temperature is controlled within ± 0.9℃, the deviation of pH is controlled within ±0.3, the deviation of oxidation-reduction potential is controlled within ±30mV, the deviation of gas production is controlled within ± 9mL and that of methane concentration is controlled within ±4.5%. This system is easily expandable and applicable to biogas engineering at various scales. 展开更多

A nonlinear robust controller was presented to improve the tracking control performance of a flexible air-breathing hypersonic vehicle(AHV) which is subjected to system parametric uncertainties and unknown additive time-varying disturbances.The longitudinal dynamic model for the flexible AHV was used for the control development.High-gain observers were designed to compensate for the system uncertainties and additive disturbances.Small gain theorem and Lyapunov based stability analysis were utilized to prove the stability of the closed loop system.Locally uniformly ultimately bounded tracking of the vehicle's velocity,altitude and attack angle were achieved under aeroelastic effects,system parametric uncertainties and unknown additive disturbances.Matlab/Simulink simulation results were provided to validate the robustness of the proposed control design.The simulation results demonstrate that the tracking errors stay in a small region around zero. 展开更多

To protect mining areas from electrical fire, it is very important to install electrical nre momtormg system to ensure safety in development of mineral resources and for buildings. In this paper, design for electrical fire monitoring and detection system with optional sensor modules has been proposed. In addition, necessity and suitability of electrical fire monitoring and detection system with optional sensor modules in mining areas have been reviewed. The designed electrical fire monitoring and detection system suit- able for work environment of mining industry is composed by host-computer monitoring software and slave-computer detectors. Monitoring detectors are manufactured by using embedded technology. Exter- nal shells deployed have superior enclosure performances and explosion-proof properties. It is easy to install and maintain the system. In general, the system has reached, or even exceeded standards specified in national standards for performances and appearances of such devices. Test results show application of electrical fire monitoring and detection system can effectively enhance monitoring intensity over the mining areas and provide reliable guarantee to ensure orderly development of mineral resources and to protect physical and property safety of citizens in these areas. 展开更多

The guidance law positioned the interceptor ahead of the target on its flight trajectory,and the speed of interceptor was required to be lower than that of the target. On the basis of a novel head pursuit three-dimensional guidance model,a nonlinear guidance law was developed based on smooth sliding mode control theory. At the same time,a special observer was designed to estimate the target acceleration,and a numerical example on maneuvering ballistic target interception verified the effectiveness of the presented guidance law. 展开更多

Based on the idea of adjoint method and the dynamic evolution method,a new optimum aerodynamic design technique is presented in this paper.It can be applied to the optimum problems with a large number of design variables and is time saving.The key of the new method lies in that the optimization process is regarded as an unsteady evolution,i.e.,the optimization is executed,simultaneously with solving the unsteady flow governing equations and adjoint equations.Numerical examples for both the inverse problem and drag minimization using Euler equations have been presented,and the results show that the method presented in this paper is more efficient than the optimum methods based on the steady flow solution and the steady solution of adjoint equations. 展开更多

Based on control theory,adjoint system for the general problem of turbomachinery aerodynamic optimization was studied and developed in the present paper by using the variation technique in the grid node coordinates combined with Jacobian Matrics of flow fluxes.Then the adjoint system for aerodynamic design optimization of turbine cascade governed by compressible Navier-Stokes equations was derived in detail.With the purpose of saving computation resources,the mathematic method presented in this paper avoids the coordinate system transforming in the traditional derivation process of the adjoint system and makes the adjoint system much more sententious.Given the general expression of objective functions consisting of both boundary integral and field integral,the adjoint equations and their boundary conditions were derived,and the final expression of the objective function gradient including only boundary integrals was formulated to reduce the CPU cost,especially for the complex 3D configurations.The adjoint system was solved numerically by using the finite volume method with an explicit 5-step Runge-Kutta scheme and Riemann approximate solution of Roe's scheme combined with multi-grid technique and local time step to accelerate the convergence procedure.Finally,based on the aerodynamic optimization theory in the present work,2D and 3D inviscid and viscous inverse design programs of axial turbomachinery cascade for both pressure distribution and isentropic Mach number distribution on the blade wall were developed,and several design optimization cases were performed successfully to demonstrate the ability and economy of the present optimization system. 展开更多
