Methods: Thirty-six male SD rats were randomly allocated into three groups. The rats in the control group (n=6) underwent no treatment. The rats in the model group (n=15) were induced by hydrocortisone and not treated. The rats in the electroacupuncture group (n=15) were induced by hydrocortisone and treated with electroacupuncture. The luteinizing hormone (LH) and the testosterone (T) were tested with radioimmunoassay, while the hematoxylin-eosin (HE) staining was used for histological observation. Results: Compared with the pre-modeling, the serum T decreased significantly after the modeling (P0.05), and the LH increased without significant difference. The delamination of spermatids reduced dramatically. After the treatments, the serum LH of the rats in the electroacupuncture group were significantly higher than the rats in the model group (P0.05) but the serum T increased without significant difference. The delamination of spermatids increased notablely (P0.05). Conclusion: Electroacupuncture may regulate the reproductive function of the rats by improving the level of LH and T concentration.展开更多
