To meet this requirement, distributed power supply systems are considered to be one of solutions. In this study, we aimed to conserve energy and reduce carbon dioxide emission of supermarket which installed a novel environment-friendly dispersed power. We focused the energy used by refrigerated cabinets. We built small scale model of supermarket which was equipped with dispersed power. From this scale model, the energy conservation effect of supercooling is from 10% to 25% during the summertime and intermediate time. At last, we found that when outside temperature is about 14 ℃ or more, supercooling was effective. In addition, since energy consumption of refrigerated cabinet is influenced by inside enthalpy, we controlled the inside air temperature and humidity by installing desiccant system and examined its effect.展开更多

The process began by an oxidation/reduction reaction on the surface of pyrite energized photovoltaically by sunlight. Hydrogen sulfide was oxidized, carbon dioxide was reduced, and phosphate on the surface of the pyrite was a reactant. The first organic compounds were sulfides and phosphoglycerates. These organophosphates were at the center of the energy cycle of all life where the dehydration of a relatively unreactive "low-energy" two-phosphoglycerate transforms it into the "high-energy" phosphoenolpyruvate. Life began as a growth process and continues to grow ceaselessly out of necessity. It cannot discontinue the life-giving energy flow without irreparable loss of the process. All forms of life past and present were and are stabilized systems in which the growth process is contained in metabolic turnover.展开更多

Today, the way that most countries use for energy production is not clean and continuous. The most obvious proof for that is the change in the climate. The amount of CO2 (carbon dioxide) that is caused by fossil fuel burning increases day by day and this situation creates the greenhouse effect and change in the climate. The sun is one of the best solutions to this problem. It is not only clean and continuous, but also available anywhere, anytime. However, the efficiency of a photovoltaic system is directly related to the amount of solar energy acquired by the system which means that, it is necessary to follow the sun to have a high efficient system. There are two types of trackers that follow the sun and there are several ways to build them. In this paper, solar tracker designs are examined and a new dual axis solar tracker design is given.展开更多

Direct and indirect exergy inputs account for 93.03% and 6.97%,respectively. Compared with coal-fired power generation system before carbon emission reduction, exergy input-output ratio of life cycle "CO2 zero-emission" energy system and exergy efficiency are about 5.563 and 17.97%,respectively,which increases by 62.47% and declines by 11.21% approximately. The model quantifies the energy, resource consumption and pollutant emissions of system life cycle using exergy as the basic physical parameter, which will make the assessment more objective and reasonable.展开更多

Importantly, growing evidence suggests that the biological actions of the ECS may, in part, be mediated through its ability to regulate the production and/or release of nitric oxide, a ubiquitous bioactive molecule, which functions as a versatile signalling intermediate. Herein, we review and discuss evidence pertaining to ECS-mediated regulation of nitric oxide production, as well as the involvement of reactive nitrogen species in regulating ECS-induced signal transduction by highlighting emerging work support- ing nitrergic modulation of ECS function. Importantly, the studies outlined reveal that interactions between the ECS and nitrergic sig- nalling systems can be both stimulatory and inhibitory in nature, depending on cellular context. Moreover, such crosstalk may act to maintain proper cell function, whereas abnormalities in either system can undermine cellular homoeostasis and contribute to vari- ous pathologies associated with their dysregulation. Consequently, future studies targeting these signalling systems may provide new insights into the potential role of the ECS-nitric oxide signalling axis in disease development and/or lead to the identification of novel therapeutic targets for the treatment of nitrosative stress-related neurological, cardiovascular, and metabolic disorders.展开更多
