Salinity and body mass had highly significant effects on the oxygen consumption rate (Ro) and ammonia excretion rate (RN) (P〈0.01). The interactive effects between salinity and body mass on Ro and RN were insignificant (P〉0.05) and highly significant (P〈0.01), respectively. Ro and RN of B. pectinirostris decreased significantly as the individual body mass increased. The relationship between Ro and body mass was represented by Ro=aWb (R^2=0.956, P〈0.01). The relationship between RN and the body mass ofB. pectinirostris was represented by RN-cW^at (R^2=0.966, P〈0.01). The Ro/RN (O:N) ratios increased significantly as the salinity increased from 12 to 27, but decreased as salinity increased from 27 to 32. The atomic O:N ratios were significantly higher at 27 than at other salinity levels. The average O:N ratio was 25.25. Lipid and carbohydrate were the primary energy sources and protein was the secondary energy significantly higher at 27 than at other salinity levels B, pectinirostris is 27. source within the salinity range 12 32. This innovative technique shows merits, such as high treatment efficiency, remarkable economic benefit and extensive wastewater recycle use. However, it was detected that capacities of purifying mine drainage for goaf were decreased after a period of application. As a result, the effluent could not meet the standard of recycle water. To solve the problem, coagulant was considered to add into mine drainage reducing its high turbid degrees to certain level. After the preliminary flocculation treatment, mine drainage was piped into goaf to purify. In this way, the load of goaf was eased up. Its usage time was also prolonged. Therefore, this paper carried out the coagulation-flocculation jar test for mine drainage to discuss the flocculation parameters. By the experiment, 10 % iron trichloride is selected from four inorganic coagulants as the optimum coagulant. The optimum dose, PH value and sedirs6-7 and 25 min. Velocity mentation time are respectively 2 mL per 800 mL Wastewater gradient G during the process of mixing and reaction is 696 .And the value of GT is 6.264 × 10^5. The values of G and GT will supply the basis for the design of flocculation pool in the project. The flocculation parameters will be significant for the reference of practice.展开更多

METHODS: The serum pharmacological method was used to avoid interference from administration of the crude medicinal herbs. Eight purebred NewZealand rabbits were used for preparation of serum containing various concentrations of AETC. For- ty-eight Balb/c-nu mice were used for in vivo experi- ments. The effects of serum containing AETC on the proliferation of A549 cells and expression levels of the epidermal growth factor receptor/mito- gen-activated protein kinase (EGFR/MAPK) path- way-related proteins in vitro were investigated. Ad- ditionally, the effects on the growth of A549 xeno- grafts in nude mice, and expression levels of the EG- FR/MAPK pathway-related proteins in the xeno- grafts, were investigated. RESULTS: 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyl- tetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay revealed that the serum containing AETC significantly decreased the viability of A549 cells in a dose-dependent manner. Western blot showed that the serum containing various concentrations of AETC strongly reduced the levels of phospho-Jun N-terminal kinase (p-JNK) and phospho-extracellular signal-regulated kinasel/2 (ERK1/2) while it increased the level of p-p38. However, no significant effects on the ex- pression levels of JNK, ERK1/2, and p38 MAPK were found. In addition, an anticancer effect from AETC was observed in vivo in the Balb/c-nu mice bearing A549 xenografts.CONCLUSION: AETC has significant effects on the growth of A549 xenografts and on the activity of the EGFR/MAPK pathway. Therefore, AETC may be beneficial in lung carcinoma treatment.展开更多

Rats were assigned into four groups: Group Ⅰ ( no irrigation), Group Ⅱ (irrigation with physiologic saline), Group Ⅲ ( irrigation with EOW ) and Group Ⅳ ( hydrocolloid occlusive dressing after EOW irrigation). Wounds were observed macroscopically until complete epithelialization was present, then the epithelialized wounds were examined microscopically. Results: Healing of the burn wounds was the fastest in Group Ⅳ treated with hydrocolloid occlusive dressing together with EOW. Although extensive regenerative epidermis was seen in each Group, the proliferations of lymphocytes and macrophages associated with dense collagen deposition were more extensive in Group Ⅱ, Ⅲ and IV than in Group Ⅰ. These findings were particularly evident in Group Ⅲ and Ⅳ.Conclusions: Wound Healing may be accelerated by applying a hydrocolloid occlusive dressing on burn surfaces after they are cleaned with EOW.展开更多
