In order to quantitatively evaluate the sustainable development status of water resources in Jiangxi Province, the dynamic changes in ecological footprint, carrying capacity and load index of water resources in Jiangxi Province during 2009-2013 were analyzed according to the primary principle and calculation model of ecological footprint. The results showed that in Jiangxi Province during 2009- 2013, the water resources ecological footprint per capita was relatively low; the wa- ter resources utilization level was relatively low; the overall development potential of water resources was great; the water resources ecological carrying capacity per capita and ecological footprint per capita were trended to be increased overall. The changes in water resources ecological footprint are closely related to the social and economic development. Therefore, the industrial structure should be fully adjusted, and the water resources should be scheduled and utilized reasonably so as to pro- mote the protection of water resources and sustainable development of society and economic in Jiangxi Province. 展开更多

In view of the effect of fissure water in fractured rock mass on the strength of rock mass in engineering projects, we pre-pared specimens of cement mortar to simulate saturated rock mass with continuous fractures of different slope angles. By exerting static and dynamic loads on the specimens, the mechanical characteristics of rock mass with fissure water under these loads can be analyzed. Our experimental results indicate that the static compressive strength of saturated fractured rock mass is related to the slope angle. The lowest compressive strength of fractured rock mass occurs when the slope angle is 45°, while the highest strength occurs when the specimen has no fractures. Fissure water can weaken the strength of rock mass. The softening coefficient does not vary with the slope angle and type of load. The hydrodynamic pressure of fractured rock mass gradually increases with an increase in dynamic load. For a 0° slope angle, the hydrodynamic pressure reaches its highest level. When the slope angle is 90°, the hydro-dynamic pressure is the lowest. 展开更多

The effect of moisture content upon compressive mechanical behavior of concrete under impact loading was studied. The axial rapid compressive loading tests of over 50 specimens with five different saturations were executed. The technique "split Hopkinson pressure bar"(SHPB) was used. The impact velocity was 10 m/s with corresponding strain rate of 50 s-1. The compressive behavior of materials was measured in terms of stress-strain curves, dynamic compressive strength, dynamic increase factor(DIF) and critical strain at a maximum stress. The data obtained from test indicate that both ascending and descending portions of stress-stain curves are affected by moisture content. However, the effect is noted to be more significant in ascending portion of the stress-strain curves. Dynamic compressive strength is higher at lower moisture content and weaker at higher moisture content.Furthermore, under nearly saturated condition, an increase in compressive strength can be found. The effect of moisture content on the average DIF of concrete is not significant. The critical compressive strain of concrete does not change with moisture content. 展开更多

Various types of ELC have been developed so far. A dummy ballast load is connected across each phase of generator terminals and ELC controls the power consumed by the ballast load to result in constant speed operation. The ELC developed so far uses thyristor switches in each phase to control ballast load power. The ELC senses the system frequency and comparing it with reference frequency, it generates a common value of firing angle for all three thyristor pairs of each phase. The performance of such ELC is not perfect for unbalanced consumers load connected in each phase, which overloads the generator. This paper presents an advanced type of ELC which senses frequency as well as consumer's load current of each phase and fires the thyristor pairs with different value of firing angles for different phases. This solves the problem of overloading of the generator with unbalanced consumer's load. Simutink model is developed to perform transient analysis of the proposed scheme and the prototype of hardware is also fabricated. The simulation results and experimental results are presented. 展开更多

The orientation of the dimple increases the flow distance in the dimple and produces fluid cumulative effect in the dimple length direction, which leads to obvious hydrodynamic effect as a result. In order to investigate the hydrodynamic effect of orientation dimples, a series of experiments was carried out on a ring-on-ring test. Multi-pored faces were tested with different dimple inclination angles and slender ratios. Film thickness and frictional torque were measured under different conditions of load and rotation speed. Experimental results showed that the orientation dimple could produce obvious dynamic effect by change of the flow direction and the increasing dimple orientation leads to increase of the load capability. The hydrodynamic effect strongly depends on dimple orientation parameters such as inclination angle and slender ratio. A larger load capability can be available by increasing dimple orientation and rotation speed. Experimental results agreed well with the theory that orientation micro-pores can significantly improve hydrodynamic performance of surfaces. 展开更多
