Based on a series of aqua-planet and air–sea coupled experiments,the influence of unrealistic treatment of water substance in the Flexible Global Ocean–Atmosphere–Land System Model,spectral version 2(FGOALS-s2),o...Based on a series of aqua-planet and air–sea coupled experiments,the influence of unrealistic treatment of water substance in the Flexible Global Ocean–Atmosphere–Land System Model,spectral version 2(FGOALS-s2),on the model's climate sensitivity is investigated in this paper.Because the model does not adopt an explicit microphysics scheme,the detrained water substance from the convection scheme is converted back to the humidity.This procedure could lead to an additional increase of water vapor in the atmosphere,which could strengthen the model's climate sensitivity.Further sensitivity experiments confirm this deduction.After removing the water vapor converted from the detrained water substance,the water vapor reduced significantly in the upper troposphere and the high clouds also reduced.Quantitative calculations show that the water vapor reduced almost 10% of the total water vapor,and 50% at 150 h Pa,when the detrained water substance was removed,contributing to the 30% atmospheric surface temperature increase.This study calls for an explicit microphysics scheme to be introduced into the model in order to handle the detrained water vapor and thus improve the model's simulation skill.展开更多

The relationships of flux and separation factor with the feed...The separation characteristics of the PVA-CS (polyvinyl alcohol-chitosan) blended composite membrane for dehydration of ethanol-water mixture are examined. The relationships of flux and separation factor with the feed concentration and operation temperature are established. Using this correlated equation, the continuous-flow pervaporation process about 500 kilolitres/year dehydrated ethanol is designed. The numbers of stage and reheater are calculated by stage-by-stage method for two kinds of cascades: one with equal membrane area and the other with 10℃ of temperature decrement per section. The results show that when the numbers of stage and reheater are the same, the cascade with 10℃ of temperature decrement has more advantages than that with equal membrane area. The influences of feed concentration and flow rate on the numbers of stage and reheater in the cascades are discussed.展开更多
Polyethersulfone(PES)film with regular microporous structure was formed using dichloromethane as the solvent via water vapor induced phase separation(VIPS).The effects of solution concentration,atmospheric humidity an...Polyethersulfone(PES)film with regular microporous structure was formed using dichloromethane as the solvent via water vapor induced phase separation(VIPS).The effects of solution concentration,atmospheric humidity and temperature,as well as molecular weight of PES on the surface morphology of the polymer film were investigated.The surface morphology characterized by SEM showed that the pore size reduced as the solution concentration increased.There was an optimum range of relative humidity for the formation of regular pore structure, which was from 60%to 90%at concentration of 20 g·L-1 and 20°C.With the atmospheric temperature varied from 20 to 30°C,the pore became larger and the space between pores increased.The pore size in the PES film with low molecular weight was smaller than that with high molecular weight.展开更多
By making the use of the processes which includes separating trash and solid materials from the wastewater-ammonia stripping tower-UASB-biological oxidation pond, we have treated the wastewater which comes from the sw...By making the use of the processes which includes separating trash and solid materials from the wastewater-ammonia stripping tower-UASB-biological oxidation pond, we have treated the wastewater which comes from the swine factory. The treated wastewater can meet the primary standard of The People's Republic of China based on sewage discharge standards and the wastewater treatment project design contract (GBl8596-2001), and the effluent will be used as irrigation-water. We introduce this project including the quality of influent and effluent and the flow scheme, the statement of every part, the investment and the effect, etc. The operation indicated that this process has many merits such as the stability in operation-effect and the convenience in management. So it will provide some help for the similar wastewater treatment.展开更多

The test conditions forwater steam two-phase were as follows: pressure P = 3 ~ 11 MPa, mass now M = 0.2 ~ 0.35 kg/s,and mass quality x = O.2 ~ 0.8; for subcooled water P = 3 ~ 11 MPa, M = 0.2 ~ 0.35 kg/s, andsubcooled degree △θ = 10℃. By using an accurate and tractable inverse heat conduction solution,the correlations of single phase and twouphase transient heat transfer coefficients were obtained. Theexperimental results demonstrated the heat transfer enhanced for subcooled water and water steammixture compared with fully developed turbulent flow in tube. The increasing heat transfer effect maybe attributed to the deformation or destruction f the boundary layer.展开更多
