The swelling equilibria for both gels were obtained in aqueous solution of ethanol with concentration ranging from 0 to 100%(by mass) at 25℃. The swollen gel in water shrank first with the addition of a small amount of ethanol and then reswelled with further addition of ethanol showing not only a discontinuous volume phase transition but also a typical reentrant phenomenon. A thermodynamic model based on the UNIQUAC with the 'free-volume' contribution was applied to correlate and predict the swelling behavior of the poly(NIPAAM)-gels in ethanol-water mixture.展开更多

The product distribution at different temperatures and pressures was studied. The liquid oil and the residuals were tested by 1H NMR, FTIR and SEM techniques. The results indicated that under the same conditions, the oil yield from liquefaction of wheat straw in water/ethanol was higher than that in sub-critical water. The result also showed that under the investigated conditions, adding 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride([Bmim]Cl) could increase the total conversion and gas yield, while at the same time the yield of n-hexane insoluble fraction and the tetrahydrofuran soluble fraction was reduced. Moreover, the results also showed that upon adding [Bmim]Cl the contents of the aliphatic hydrogen and phenols in liquid oil also increased along with improved oil quality.展开更多

The optimal adsorption condition of D152 resin for Pb^2+ is at pH 6.00 in HAc-NaAc medium. The statically saturated adsorption capacity is 527 mg/g at 298 K. Pb^2+ adsorbed on D152 resin can be eluted with 0.05 mol/L HCI quantitatively. The adsorption rate constants determined under various temperatures are k288 n=2.22×10-5 s^-1, k298 K=2.51 × 10^-5 s^-1, and k308 K= 2.95 × 10^-5 s^-1, respectively. The apparent activation energy, Ea is 10.5 kJ/mol, and the adsorption parameters of thermodynamics are ΔH^Θ=13.3 kJ/mol, ΔS^Θ=119 J/(mol·K), and ΔG^Θ298 K =-22.2 kJ/mol, respectively. The adsorption behavior of D152 resin for Pb^2+ follows Langmuir model.展开更多

The precursor MgSO4·5Mg(OH)2·2H2O (152 MOS) single component was prepared by hydrothermal synthesis reaction in MgSO4 solution and NaOH solution. MgO whisker was prepared by heating treatment of the precursor at low heating speed to keep the structure of the precursor not be destroyed. The composition, the morphology and the structure of these whiskers were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The results indicate that the MgO whisker was about 0.5-1.2 μm in diameter and 20-80 μm in length, with an aspect ratio no less than 100.展开更多
