The porous A1-Cu alloy was prepared by the gelcasting process. And the effects of gelcasting conditions, such as monomer, the volume ratio of cross-linker and monomer, dispersant and redox initiating system on the height, gelling time and the quality of green body were investigated. (It was found that the dispersant and monomer played significant roles in the height and quality of green bodies, respectively.) The optimal conditions were 10% monomer, 2% cross-linker, 0.2% initiator (volume fraction), and 1.2 g dispersant, in which the green body exhibited the best quality. The mechanisms of process conditions in eliminating the cracks and forming the pores of in the five stages were proposed. Mercury porosimetry provided a description of pore diameter ranging from 10 to 10000 nm and open porosity of 38.78 %. 展开更多

A complex process of micro electrolysis and biofilm was developed to continuously treat organic wastew-aters containing heavy metal ions such as Cu2+ and Or3+, and the relevant purifying mechanism was also addressed. In detail, organic materials in wastewater could be consumed as nutritious source by biofilm composed of aerobes and anaerobes. However, for heavy metal ions (Cu2+, Cr3+), part was removed by electrodeposition, and some was adsorbed on biofilm. In order to compare with the combined process of micro electrolysis and biofilm, the experimental data of micro electrolysis process (intermittent) or biofilm process (continuous) were provided, and the kinetic data of C6H12O6 (glucose) biodegradation by cultured microbes or acclimated microbes were also obtained. These experimental results indicated that for wastewater initially consisted of CeH12O6 (500mg-L-1), Cu2+ and Cr3+ (10mg-L-1), after treatment, its concentrations of C6H12O6, Cu2+ and Cr3+ were lowered to the level of 55-65mg.L^1, and less than 1mg-L-1, respectively. The biosorption of copper(Ⅱ) ions onto biofilm was studied in a batch system with respect to the temperature, initial pH value and biofilm sorbent mass. The biomass exhibited the highest copper(Ⅱ) sorption capacity under the conditions of room temperature, initial pH value of 6.0 and the sorbent mass 8 g. The experimental data were analyzed using four sorption kinetic models, the pseudo-first order, the Ritchie second order, the modified second order and the Elovich equations to determine the best-fit equation for the sorption of metal ions onto biofilm. Comparing with the sum of squared-errors, the results show that both the Ritchie second order and modified second order equations can fit the experimental data very well. 展开更多

An orthogonal array,L16(45),was used to examine the effects of four parameters,including NaCl concentration,H2SO4 concentration,temperature and pulp density,on the recovery of Cu,In,Pb and Zn from a hydrometallurgical residue via brine leaching.The results show that temperature of leaching solution has a significant effect on the recovery of Cu,In and Zn,while H2SO4 concentration has an obvious influence on these metals extraction.Both pulp density and NaCl concentration significantly affect Pb extraction.Based on the orthogonal array experiments,the optimum conditions for the extraction of Cu,In,Pb and Zn from hydrometallurgical residue are NaCl concentration of 250 g/L,H2SO4 concentration of 1.00 mol/L,temperature of 85℃,and pulp density of 100 g/L.After 1 h of treatment at these optimum conditions,over 91% of the metals are extracted from the residue.Brine leaching is therefore suitable for the recovery of metals from hydrometallurgical residues. 展开更多

Comparison of heavy metal removal efficiencies in four activated sludge processes 被引量:3

The removal efficiencies of heavy metals(As, Cr, Cu, Ni, Pb and Zn) were investigated in the 17 operating municipal wastewater treatment plants(WWTPs) and compared with those in four main activated sludge processes. Significant differences of heavy metal removal efficiencies were observed among four activated sludge processes. The removal efficiency for As(75.5%) in the oxidation ditch(OD) process is significantly higher than that in the conventional activated sludge(CAS) process(38.6%) or sequencing batch reactor(SBR) process(51.4%). The mean removal efficiencies for Cu and Ni in the OD process are 90.5% and 46.7%, respectively, while low mean removal efficiencies are observed for Cu(69.9%) and Ni(16.5%), respectively, in the SBR process. The removal efficiencies for Cu and Ni in the OD process are significantly higher than those in the anaerobic-anoxic-oxic(A2-O) process. These results highlight the differences of removal efficiencies for heavy metals in different processes and should be considered when selecting a wastewater treatment process. 展开更多
