In this CA model, the hillslope surface was subdivided into a series of discrete spatial cells with the same geometric features. At each time step, water and sediment were transported between two adjacent spatial cells. The flow direction was determined by a combination of water surface slope and stochastic assignment. The amounts of interchanged water and sediment were computed using the Chezy-Manning formula and the empirical sediment transport equation. The water and sediment discharged from the open boundary cells were considered as the runoff and the sediment yields over the entire hillslope surface. Two hillslope soil erosion experiments under simulated rainfall events were carried out. Cumulative runoff and sediment yields were measured, respectively. Then, the CA model was applied to simulate the water and soil erosion for these two experiments. Analysis of simulation results indicated that the size of the spatial cell, hydraulic parameters, and the setting of time step and iteration times had a large impact on the model accuracy. The comparison of the simulated and measured data suggested that the CA model was an applicable alternate for simulating the hillslope water flow and soil erosion.展开更多

X-ray diffractometry(XRD), scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDX) attached to SEM were used to characterize surface structure and the Ca-P coatings. Effects of the above surface treatments on the surface morphology, apatite forming ability were systematically investigated. Results indicate that all the above surface treatments increase the apatite forming ability of TiNi alloys in varying degrees when soaked in simulated body fluid(SBF). More apatite coatings formed on TiNi samples sintered at 1050℃ and 1100℃ due to their high porosity and pure TiNi phase that is beneficial to heterogeneous nucleation. Furthermore, more uniform apatite was fabricated on the sample sintered from the mixture of Ni and Ti powders.展开更多

The relations between active faults in the basement and surface structures are analyzed and the difference between sedimentary cover and basement in their deformation characteristics and the genesis are discussed. The following conclusions have been drawn: (1) the epicentral distribution indicates that, the east Qiulitag and south and north Qiulitag deep faults in the basement correspond to the east and west Qiulitag anticlines, respectively. Moreover, deep faults also exist beneath the Yiqiklik and Yaken anticlines. It indicates that the formation of surface structures is controlled by deep structures; (2) A NE-trending strike-slip fault develops along the line from the western termination of Yiqiklik structure to Dongqiu Well 5 and a NW-trending active fault on the western side of Baicheng. The two active faults across the tectonic strike are the main causes for tectonic segmentation of the Kuqa depression and possibly the cause for the middle segment (Kuqa-Baicheng) of the depression to be more shortened than both its eastern and western terminations; (3) The difference between the sedimentary cover and basement in their deformation characteristics depends mainly on the different properties of media between them. The lithospheric strength of the basement in the basin is fairly high, which determines the basement deformation to be mainly of brittle fracture——seismic activity. While the strength of sedimentary cover is low, where there exist weak thin layers, such as coal and gyps. Under the effect of strong tectonic compression, the sedimentary rocks may undergo strong viscous or plastic flow deformation; meanwhile, an aseismic detachment may take place along the weak layers.展开更多

Samples with different thicknesses of Si 3 N 4 and SiO 2 were prepared on Pyrex 7740 glass substrates and characterized by isothermal and high humidity charge decay. The results of experiment approved that the PECVD SiO 2 /Si 3 N 4 double layers electrets on glass substrate has as good chargeability and charge stability in high temperature and high humidity environment as thermal oxidation or APCVD/LPCVD ones on silicon substrates. The experiment results indicated that a Si 3 N 4 layer no less than 50 nm is necessary for good charge stability in high temperature and a Si 3 N 4 layer thicker than 500 nm decreases the chargeability. Even a 2 nm Si 3 N 4 layer is enough to significantly improve the charge stability in high humidity environment. Thick SiO 2 layer can increase the surface potential of electrets under the same charging condition and its charge stability in high temperature. However, the electrets with high surface potential also exhibit poor uniformity of charge stability in high humidity environment.展开更多

X-ray diffraction analysis revealed that both sides of YBCO film were purely c-axis oriented and highly textured. The co-scan of (005) YBCO and Ф-scan of (103) YBCO yielded full width at half maximum (FWHM) values of 4.9° and 6.6° for one side of double-sided YBCO film, respectively, as well as 4.4° and 6.4° for the other side. The current transportation measurements performed on such double-sided 500 nm-thickness YBCO films showed the self-field critical current density (Jc) at 77 K of 0.6 MA/cm^2 and 1.2 MA/cm^2, respectively. Further research is in the process of exploring new solution to improve the Jc in practice.展开更多
