The fine microstructures of the HPCs were characterized by high-resolution transmission electron microscopy. The results show that the textural features of the HPCs directly transfer from turbostratic structure in roots to a well-ordered high texture in stems. And the degree of high texture ordering decreases gradually from the stem to the tail of the HPCs. The formation mechanism of the HPCs was inferred as the comprehensive effect of polarization induction on electromagnetic fields and particle-filler property under disruptive discharge.展开更多

Diamond coatings were fabricated by straight hot filament chemical vapor deposition (CVD) passing through the interior hole of the drawing die using a mixture of hydrogen and acetone as source gases. The performance tests were made under real drawing condition. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was used for the study of coating wear after die service. The coating wear appears on two regions of the reduction zone: one is near the entrance where the contact begins, and the other is at the end of the reduction zone. FEM simulation was made for calculating the von Mises stresses distribution on the coating and substrate during the drawing process. The present work was of great practical significance for the improvement of drawing performance of diamond-coated drawing dies.展开更多

The photocatalytic performance of TiO2/BTs composites was evaluated with UV-Vis spectrophotometer following the changes of phenol concentration under different illumination time. Effects of the calcination temperature, the pH and the cycles on the photocatalytic activity of TiO2/BTs composites were investigated. The composites calcined at 500 and 600 ℃ exhibit the best photocatalytic performance, and the phenol degradation ratios reacting for 40 and 160 rain reach 35% and 78% respectively under the same conditions, higher than those of 29% and 76% of the Degussa P25(TiO2). The ability of TiO2/BTs500 (BTs500 represents bauxite-tailings calcined at 500 ℃) composites to degrade phenol increases with decreasing pH.展开更多

The influence of the n-μc-SiOx:H emitter thickness on the heterointerface passivation in SHJ solar cells was investi- gated. With increasing thickness, the crystallinity of the emitter as well as its dark conductivity increases. Mean- while, the effective minority carrier lifetime (teff) of the SHJ solar cell precursors at low injection level shows a pronounced increase trend, implying that an improved field effect passivation is introduced as the emitter is deposited. And, an increased μTelf is also observed at entire injection level due to the interfacial chemical passivation improved by the hydrogen diffusion along with the emitter deposition. Based on the analysis on the external quantum effi- ciency of the SHJ solar cells, it can be expected that the high efficient SHJ solar cells could be obtained by improving the heterointerface passivation and optimizing the emitter deposition process.展开更多

By etching artificial microstructures on the GaN: Mn layer, strong magnetic responses were observed in the magnetic force microscopy (MFM) measurement, which revealed that the films were independent of dopant particles and clusters. Numerical simulation on the data of atomic force microscope (AFM) and MFM measurements covering the whole microstructure validated the formation of long range magnetic order. This result excluded a variety of controversial origins of room-temperature ferromagnetism in the GaN: Mn and gave a strong evidence of our GaN: Mn as the intrinsic diluted magnetic semiconductor (DMS). The forwarded method for accurate characterization of long range magnetic order could be applied to a wide range of DMS and diluted magnetic oxide (DMO) systems.展开更多
