Recovery of gonadal development in tiger puffer Takifugu rubripes after exposure to 17β-estradiol during early life stages 被引量:3

The aim of the present study was to investigate the long-term effects of 17l)-estradiol (E2) exposure on gonadal development in the tiger puffer (Taktfugu rubripes), which has a genetic sex determination system of male homogametic XY-XX. Tiger puffer larvae were exposed to 1, 10 and 100 μg/L E2 from 15 to 100 days post-hatch (dph) and then maintained in clean seawater until 400 dph. Changes in sex ratio, gonadal structure and gonadosomatic index (GSI) were monitored at 100, 160, 270 and 400 dph. Sex-associated single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) markers were used to analyze the genetic sex of samples, except those at 100 dph. Exposure had a positive effect on the conversion of genetically male gonads into phenotypically female gonads at 100 dph. However, gonads from 60% of genetic XY males in the 1-μg/L E2 group and 100% in the 10-μg/L E2 group developed intersexual gonads at 160 dph; gonads of all genetic XY males in the two treatment groups reverted to testis by 270 dph. While 38%, 57% and 44% of gonads of XY fish in the 100-gg/L E2 group reverted to intersexual gonads at 160, 270 and 400 dph, respectively, none reverted to testis after E2 treatment. In addition, E2 exposure inhibited gonadal growth of both genetic sexes, as indicated by the clear dose-dependent decrease in GSI at 270 and 400 dph. The results showed that exposure to E2 during the early life stages of tiger puffer disrupted gonadal development, but that fish recovered after migration to clean seawater. The study suggests the potential use of tiger puffer as a valuable indicator species to evaluate the effects of environmental estrogens on marine fish, thereby protecting valuable fishery resources. 展开更多

中国上中新统的陆相地层非常发育,其中在华北地区广泛分布的红黏土堆积富含三趾马动物群化石。甘肃临夏盆地的上中新统即是一套红黏土地层,其岩石地层单位名称为柳树组。已发现柳树组的大量化石地点,按其在剖面中出现的层位可以自下而... 中国上中新统的陆相地层非常发育,其中在华北地区广泛分布的红黏土堆积富含三趾马动物群化石。甘肃临夏盆地的上中新统即是一套红黏土地层,其岩石地层单位名称为柳树组。已发现柳树组的大量化石地点,按其在剖面中出现的层位可以自下而上分为4个动物群,已根据代表性地点依次命名为郭泥沟、大深沟、杨家山和青卜山动物群。古地磁测年数据显示,柳树组涵盖了整个晚中新世的沉积,即包括上中新统下部的灞河阶和上中新统上部的保德阶。郭泥沟、大深沟和杨家山动物群属于灞河阶,青卜山动物群属于保德阶。灞河阶底界如与海相Tortonian阶一致,则这条界线(古地磁C5r.2n下界)存在于临夏盆地沉积序列中,年龄为11.6Ma,三趾马的首现位置略高于此界线,年龄为11.1Ma。保德阶底界如与海相Messinian阶一致,可以在柳树组和西藏吉隆的沃马组中准确划定这条界线的位置。由于山西保德是保德阶的命名地点,因此保德阶的底界层型应选择在保德县腰庄乡冀家沟剖面保德组靠近红黏土底部的古地磁C3Br.1r之内,年龄为7.25Ma,三趾马Hipparion forstenae的首现可作为其生物标志。 展开更多

将早先提出的华南寒武系4统9阶的年代地层系统,修订成4统10阶,除王村阶的底界略高于全球鼓山阶(Drumian Stage)的底界外,其余界线都与目前的全球4统10阶的年代地层界线一致。新系统采纳了在我国华南建立的全球芙蓉统、排碧阶和古丈阶,... 将早先提出的华南寒武系4统9阶的年代地层系统,修订成4统10阶,除王村阶的底界略高于全球鼓山阶(Drumian Stage)的底界外,其余界线都与目前的全球4统10阶的年代地层界线一致。新系统采纳了在我国华南建立的全球芙蓉统、排碧阶和古丈阶,在原桃源阶的上部另建"牛车河阶"。原王村阶和桃源阶的时限因这一修订有所缩减。全球鼓山阶的底界与台江阶上部的Ptychagnostus atavus带底界可以精确对比。滇东统包含晋宁阶和梅树村阶(狭义)两个年代地层单位,晋宁阶的底界采用全球寒武系的底界,梅树村阶的底界采用罗惠麟等1994年正式修订后的定义,即位于梅树村剖面的"B"点。梅树村阶的原始定义仅指梅树村剖面的磷块岩层(即现今的中谊村段),它的底界高于现在的以Tricophycus pedum首现定义的全球寒武系底界。 展开更多

This study reconstructs the long-term evolution of river terraces over large spatial scales along the Anning River, western Sichuan, and identifies external factors controlling terrace formation. Pollen record analysis and terrace structure indicate that formation of the middle section of terraces I-III resulted from the interaction of changing climates and uplift of the margins of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. The relative influence of climate and uplift in terrace formation changes in different periods. The terraces reveal multiple, gradual uplift events on the eastern Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, which is of great significance for determining uplift mechanisms across the entire plateau. 展开更多

Based on the GC-MS analytical data of aromatic fractions of over forty highly mature coal-bearing source rock samples collected from the Upper Triassic Xujiahe Formation in the northern Sichuan Basin, the thermal evolution of aromatic hydrocarbons during late-mature to over-mature stage (R0=1.13%-2.85%) was characterized, and aromatic indicators suitable for recognizing the organic source and sedimentary environment of high maturity source rocks were discussed. The results indicated that the concentrations of low carbon-cycle naphthalene as well phenanthrene series reduce gradually with increasing Ro at the highly mature levels. However, some high-cyclic components such as chrysene, benzofluoranthene, and benzo[e]pyrene are relatively enriched, in companying an enhancement of parent aromatic compounds. The variations are attributed to thermal cracking and polymerization reactions due to continuous dehydrogenation under enhanced burial temperature. As thermal maturity rises, MPI1 (Methylphenanthrene Index) values display a two-modal varying trend, namely, increasing when Ro is below 1.80% and decreasing above 1.8% Ro. The relationships between Ro and MPI1 are Ro=0.98MPI1+0.37 for R0〈1.80% and R0=-0.90MPI1+3.02 at R0〉1.8%, being different from the previous research. The amount of dibenzofurans declines sharply at Ro higher than 1.1%, leading to a significant change of relative composition among dibenzothiophenes, dibenzofurans and fluorenes (referred as three-fluorenes series composition). Thus, this parameter appears to be unsuitable for identifying the sedimentary environment of the highly matured source rocks. 4-/1-MDBT (methyldibenzothiophene) ratio could be served as an effective indicator for organic facies, and can distinguish coals from mudstones at over-maturity in this case. The ratios of 2,6-/2,10-DMP (dimethylphenanthrene) and 1,7-/1,9-DMP and relative abundance of triaromatic steroids in these highly mature rocks could be considered as biological source parameters for relative input of terrigenous versus aquatic organic matter. 展开更多
