The structure unit of the title compound is [Zn(L-Asp)(H2O)2]·H2O, which is a bicyclo-complex forming a spiral linear polymer via coordination bonds. The spiral linear polymers are assembled as a three-dimensional supramolecule by intermolecular hydrogen bonds. The crystal belongs to the orthorhombic crystal system, P2(1)2(1)2(1) space group, a=0.7830(3) nm, b=0.9369(4) nm, c=11.599(5) nm, α=β=γ=90.00°, V=0.8509(6) nm3, Z=4, Dc=1.955 g/cm3, F(000)=512, μ=2.289. The toxicity of the title compound is lower than that of glutamic acid zinc and zinc sulfate. Keywords L-aspartic acid - zinc - microwave - supramolecule - toxicity展开更多

The density fluctuation of iPP/PcBR blends during molten and mixing is discussed using the integral-intensity Js, of the scattering intensity of the blends. The "invariant" Q, which shows fluctuation of the system, is calculated by data of the small angle light back scattering, and the variation of Q with the blending time, temperature and shear rate during molten and mixing in iPP/PcBR blends is discussed. The structure parameters which characterize dimensions of phase in the blends, as the correlation distance ac, and the average chord lengths of two-phase, as lipp and lPcBR, are calculated by data of scattering intensity. The average diameters dp of dispersed phases are calculated from SEM images. The variation of ac, dp, lipp and lPcBR with the blending time and compositions in the blends during molten and mixing is discussed. The scale law is analyzed to find multi-scale char- acteristics in this system. The generalized fractal dimension Dp is calculated and the relation of Dp with generalized entropy function is discussed to determine that Dp is state function and the physical significance of Dp is the same as that of the generalized entropy function. polymer blends, on-line analysis, fractal, polypropylene展开更多

Methods A total of 100 patients receiving TRUS-guided prostate biopsy were divided into two groups with 50 in each. In Group 1, patients received liquid paraffin, and in Group 2, patients were given 1% tetracaine hydrochloride jelly before biopsy. Pain score was measured by horizontal visual analogue scales ( VAS ), and pain and discomfort were compared between the two groups. Results The average pain scores at the time of insertion of the ultrasound probe were 2. 9 +_1. 7 and 1. 4 +_1. 8 ( P =0. 000) and the average pain scores at the time of performing biopsy were 5. 2 +-1. 5 and 3. 1 + 1. 7 (P =0. 000) in Group 1 and Group 2, respectively. There were no significant differences between the two groups in terms of age, serum prostate specific antigen, digital rectal examination, TRUS, and biopsy core number ( P 〉 O. 05 ). There were no significant differences of complications after biopsy, such as hematuria, acute urinary retention, urinary tract infection, rectum bleeding, and fever ( P 〉0. 05). Conclusion TRUS-guided prostate biopsy is safe. Use of 1% tetracaine hydrochloride jelly in the rectum and anus before TRUS-guided prostate biopsy is an effective method for relieving TRUS-guided prostate biopsy-induced pain during the procedure.展开更多
