It has been shown that much dynamic information is hidden in the pressure fluctuation signals of a gas-solid fluidized bed. Unfortunately, due to the random and capricious nature of this signal, it is hard to realize reliable analysis using traditional signal processing methods such as statistical analysis or spectral analysis, which is done in Fourier domain. Information in different frequency band can be extracted by using wavelet analysis. On the evidence of the composition of the pressure fluctuation signals, energy of low frequency (ELF) is proposed to show the transition of fluidized regimes from bubbling fluidization to turbulent fluidization. Plots are presented to describe the fluidized bed's evolution to help identify the state of different flow regimes and provide a characteristic curve to identify the fluidized status effectively and reliably. 展开更多

We numerically study the dynamics of meandering spiral waves in the excitable system subjected to a feedback signal coming from two measuring points located on a straight line together with the initial spiral core. The core location and size radius of the final attractors are computed, and they change with the position of the moving measuring point in a unique way. By the Fourier Spectral analysis, we find the frequency-locked behaviors different from the driving scheme of the external periodic force. It when the moving measuring point approaches closely is also found that the meandering spiral wave can be eliminated the boundary and its feedback gain is large enough. This offers an effective and convenient method for eliminating meandering spiral waves. 展开更多

Based on the character of short-time non-stationary random signal, the relationship between the maximum decking charge and energy distribution of blasting vibration signals was investigated by means of the wavelet packet method. Firstly, the characteristics of wavelet transform and wavelet packet analysis were described. Secondly, the blasting vibration signals were analyzed by wavelet packet based on software MATLAB, and the change of energy distribution curve at different frequency bands were obtained. Finally, the law of energy distribution of blasting vibration signals changing with the maximum decking charge was analyzed. The results show that with the increase of decking charge, the ratio of the energy of high frequency to total energy decreases, the dominant frequency hands of blasting vibration signals tend towards low frequency and hlasting vibration does not depend on the maximum decking charge. 展开更多

Aiming at the non-stationary feattwes of the roller bearing fault vibration signal, a roller bearing fault diagnosis methtxt based on improved Local Mean Decomposition (LMD) and Support Vector Machine (SVM) is proposed. In this paper, firstly, the wavelet analysis is introduced to the signal decomposition and reconstruction; secondly, the LMD method is used to decompose the recomtnion signal obtained by the wavelet analysis into a ntmaber of Product Ftmctions (PFs) that include main fault characteristics, thus, the initial feattwe vector matrixes could be formed automatically; Thirdly, by applying the Singular Valueition (SVD) techniques to the initial feature vector matrixes, the singular values of the matrixes can be obtained, which can be used as the fault feature vectors of the roller bearing and serve as the input vectors of the SVM classifier; Finally, the recognition results can be obtained from the SVM output. The results of analysis show that the propsed method can be applied to roller beating fault diagnosis effectively. 展开更多

Application of Empirical Mode Energy to the Analysis of Fluctuating Signals

After an aerial object enters the water, physical changes to sounds in the water caused by the accompanying bubbles are quite complex. As a result, traditional signal analyzing methods cannot identify the real physical object. In view of this situation, a novel method for analyzing the sounds caused by an aerial object’s entry into water was proposed. This method analyzes the vibrational mode of the bubbles by using empitical mode decomposition. Experimental results showed that this method can efficiently remove noise and extract the broadband pulse signal and low-frequency fluctuating signal, producing an accurate resolution of entry time and frequency. To ensure efficient operation of metallurgical gas-liquid reactors, the gas bubbles must be uniformly distributed. For high temperature metallurgical reactors, it is impractical and unsafe to carry out visual observations. An air-water model was used to study the relationship between the bubble flow patterns and the pressure fluctuation signals. The fluctuation signals captured in the time domain were transformed into the frequency domain. Various parameters obtained from the transformed data were analysed for their suitability for delineating the bubble flow patterns observed. These parameters and the flow patterns were found to be well-correlated using the gas flow number. 展开更多
