The HPLC analysis was performed on a HIQ sil C18(4.6×250 mm) column with mobile phase of acetonitrilewater (3:7, V:V), flow rate 1 mLmin-1 and UV detective wavelength 266 nm. Extracting 10-hydroxycamptothecin by ultrasonic method from fruits of C. acuminata to prepare samples for analysis was systematically discussed. The optimal extraction condition was carried out by 60% alcohol solution at 60℃ for 50 minutes.展开更多

First, the reagents and their doses for the experiment are selected according to the characteristics of the zinc sulfate solution. Then, the reagent doses are optimized by analyzing the influence of reagent dose on the polarographic parameters(i.e. half-wave potential E_(1/2) and limiting diffusion current I_p). Finally, the optimization results are verified by simultaneously determining trace amounts of Cu^(2+), Cd^(2+) and Co^(2+) in the presence of an extremely large excess of Zn^(2+). The determination results indicate that the optimized reagents exhibit wide linearity, low detection limits, high accuracy and good precision for the simultaneous determination of trace amounts of Cu^(2+), Cd^(2+) and Co^(2+) in the presence of an extremely large excess of Zn^(2+).展开更多

The paper also discusses the techniques in investigating a short wave problem of stability in the same model where a long wave is simulated. Waves offshore of Coffs Harbour at 80 m depth have been recorded by MHL for a period of over 30 years. Long waves have been simultaneously measured in the harbour over a period of a decade. These data enabled the model to be verified on two dates (4/6/12, 5/9/14) when high long waves were recorded at the boat ramp harbour under storm and non-storm conditions. Long waves are generated in harbours due to group bounded long wave and surf beat or edge waves. The paper presents methodologies of generating long waves both numerically and by using physical models, and discusses the advantages and disadvantages of these generation techniques. Numerical modelling carried out using long period regular waves in a previous investigation predicted reductions up to 50% due to change of planform of the boat ramp harbour where an area next to the boat ramp was excavated and roughness elements introduced to dampen long periods. The 3D physical model simulated a 25% decrease in the long wave energy in the boat ramp when a suitable change in the planform was made. A 3D undistorted model of scale 1:58 was used in the investigation.展开更多

The research is focused on assessing performance of standard wave spectrum models in the region. By evaluating such models based on valuable measurement data recently published, the calibration procedure has been conducted on such standard models to reach a better concordance between a modified standard spectral model and observed field spectra. The calibration is performed initially with respect to four distinct directions related to four available measurement stations. So, it results in four sets of coefficients for a nominated model. Next, it is continued to reach just one model insensitive to directions. Results clearly showed that the International Towing Tank Conference (ITTC) model is more appropriate than Joint North Sea Wave Project (JONSWAP) and Pierson and Moskowitz (PM) models in this area, even without any calibration. However, modifications have been successful on improving the conformity of the model.展开更多
