The sorption-desorption behavior of dicyandiamide (DCD) is an importantchemical process that affects DCD fate and mobility in soils. Therefore, this study quantified DCDsorption-desorption on a phaeozem (Mollisol), a burozem (Alfisol), a soil with organicmatter-removed and peat humus using the batch-equilibration procedure, and identified soilproperties that influenced DCD sorption. The sorption on peat humus was higher than that on thephaeozem and the burozem, with much lower sorption observed on the soil with organic matter-removed,indicating that soil organic matter was the main carrier of DCD sorption. Due to its amphipathicproperty the DCD molecule sorption on the phaeozem and the burozem decreased as pH increased fromabout 2 to 5, but a further increase in pH led to a rise in DCD sorption. The DCD desorptionhysteretic effect for peat humus was greater than that for the phaeozem and the burozem using 0.01mol L^(-1) CaCl_2 as the background electrolyte, suggesting that the hydrophobic domains of organicmatter may play an important role in DCD sorption. 展开更多

Projectile made of carbon fiber composite material shell and metal warhead penetrates concrete target at speeds of 336,m/s,447,m/s and 517,m/s.The angles between the perpendicu-lar of target surface and projectile axis are 0°and 30°.The thickness of concrete target is 200,mm and the compression strength is 30 MPa.The experimental results indicate that the strength of composite material structure is high.Composite projectile can go through concrete tar-get without fiber segregation and breakage.The percent fill is 18.5% in the composite material projectile.It is about twice as that of metal projectile,if the density of metal is taken as 7.8,g/cm3.Comparing with metal projectile,low-density,high-strength composite material can lessen projec-tile weight,improve charge-weight ratio of detonator and enhance destructive powder. 展开更多

Inspired by the importance of Redfield-type C:N:P ratios in global soils,we looked for analogous patterns in peatlands and aimed at deciphering the potential affecting factors.By analyzing a suite of peatlands soil data(n = 1031),mean soil organic carbon(SOC),total nitrogen(TN) and total phosphorous(TP) contents were 50.51%,1.45% and 0.13%,respectively,while average C:N,C:P and N:P ratios were 26.72,1186.00 and 46.58,respectively.C:N ratios showed smaller variations across different vegetation coverage and had less spatial heterogeneity than C:P and N:P ratios.No consistent C:N:P ratio,though with a general value of 1245:47:1,was found for entire peatland soils in China.The Northeast China,Tibet,Zoigê Plateau and parts of Xinjiang had high soil SOC,TN,TP,and C:P ratio.Qinghai,parts of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River,and the coast zones have low TP and N:P ratio.Significant differences for SOC,TN,TP,C:N,C:P and N:P ratios were observed across groups categorized by predominant vegetation.Moisture,temperature and precipitation all closely related to SOC,TN,TP and their pairwise ratios.The hydrothermal coefficient(RH),defined as annual average precipitation divided by temperature,positively and significantly related to C:N,C:P and N:P ratios,implying that ongoing climate change may prejudice peatlands as carbon sinks during the past 50 years in China. 展开更多

This paper discusses the results of tests on the shear capacity of reinforced concrete columns strengthened with carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) sheet. The shear transfer mechanism of the specimens reinforced with CFRP sheet was studied. The factors affecting the shear capacity of reinforced concrete columns strengthened with CFRP sheet were analyzed. Several sug-gestions such as the number of layers, width and tensile strength of the CFRP sheet are proposed for this new strengthening technique. Finally, a simple and practical design method is presented in the paper. The calculated results of the suggested method are shown to be in good agreement with the test results. The suggested design method can be used in evaluating the shear capacity of reinforced concrete columns strengthened with CFRP sheet. 展开更多

Limestone Calcined Clay Cement(LC^(3)) is a newly proposed low-carbon cement,which can effectively reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions of the traditional cement industry without changing the basic mechanical properties of cement-based materials.In this study,the degradation process of mortar samples of limestone and calcined clay cementitious material under sulfate attack is studied by both macroscopic and microscopic analysis.The results show that compared with pure Portland cement,the addition of calcined clay and limestone can significantly reduce the expansion rate,loss of dynamic modulus and mass loss of mortar specimens under sulfate attack.The addition of calcined clay and limestone will refine the pore size distribution of mortar specimens,then inhibiting the diffusion of sulfate and formation of corrosive products,therefore leading to a significant improvement of the sulfate resistance. 展开更多
