Effects of Sludge Application on Accumulition of Heavy Metals in Rape and Soil 被引量:1

[Objective] This study aimed to provide reliable theoretical basis for re- source utilization of sludge. [Method] By using pot experiment, variations of the yield index and salt content of rape and the accumulation of three kinds of heavy metals in rape plants and soil including Hg, As and Zn were explored. [Result] The results showed that medium sludge level (50 g/pot) significantly increased the rape yield and root/shoot ratio; when the application amount of sludge reached 100 g/pot, the fertil- ization effect of sludge on potted rape yield was significantly reduced. Compared with chemical fertilizer and chicken manure, sludge promoted N and P absorption of rape more significantly, but the effect of sludge application on K absorption was less significant than chicken manure. Sludge can increase the soil salinity, which is higher than the chemical fertilizer and chicken manure, but the effect was not significant. Compared with chemical fertilizer and chicken manure treatments, the Hg, As and Zn contents in rape plants and soil after sludge application increased, to be specific, Hg content increased relatively significantly. Hg, As and Zn contents in rape plants and soil were all in accordance with China National Safety Standards for Heavy Met- als in Vegetables and China National Environmental Quality Standards for Soils. [Conclusion] Short-term sludge application will not lead to secondary heavy metal pollution of agricultural soils, but the Hg content should be monitored and controlled in long-term sludge application. 展开更多

[Objective] The study was to immunohistochemical localize the endocrine cells from digestive tract of Misgurnus [ Method ] Using six gastrointestinal hormone antisera, the endocrine cells from digestive tract of M. anguillicaudatus was localized. [ Result ]The 5-hydroxytryptamine immunoreactive(5-HT-IR) cells distribute in oesophagus, foregut and midgut; the distribution density was determined to be forepart of foregut 〉 oesophagus and hindpart of foregut 〉 gut, and the differences in the three density gradients reached significant level. Like PP-IR, SS-IR cells were observed mostly in oesophagus, followed by hindpart of foregut, least in forepart of foregut, but never found in gut and hindgut. The three kinds of immunocompetent cells Gas-IR, Glu-IR and SP-IR were not detected in each part of digestive tract. [ Conctusion] This study may provide basic data for studying the nutritional and digestive physiology, as well as the preparation of meridic diets for M. anguillicaudatus. 展开更多

The Comparison of Amaranth Decolorization Ability for Two Types of Biological Consortia

The two types of biological consortia--real activated sludge and laboratory adapted consortium were immobilized in polyethylene oxide cryogels. Their potential to decolorize the anionic azo dye amaranth in sequencing batch biofilters was studied. At a growing concentration of azo dye (20 mg·L^-1, 25 mg·L^-1, 30 mg·L^-1) the biofilters had a mean feeding rate of 30.32 ± 25.78 mL^-1·h^-1 and 13.76 :t: 8.33 mL^-1·h^-1, respectively for immobilized adapted consortia (AC) and activated sludge (AS). The AC-biofilter reached an overall decolorization rate of 0.211 ± 0.14 mg dye.mLLh1 and a decolorization effectiveness of 60.28 :t: 32.42%. In contrast, the mean values for overall decolorization rate and effectiveness in AS-biofilter were 0.249 ± 0.16 mg dye.mL^-1·h^-1 and 82.48± 14.41%. The system with immobilized activated sludge had more stable process dynamics and higher tolerance to shock azo dye loading in the first stage of the process. The immobilized adapted consortium presented a good ability to adequate response at higher azo dye concentrations and loading. 展开更多
