青海都兰热水-桃斯托河断裂的新发现及构造意义

在青海都兰最新开展的活动断裂调查工作中,于都兰-茶卡高地南部新发现了1条长约40km、走向近NEE的左旋走滑、局部兼正断性质的全新世活动断裂--热水-桃斯托河断裂。文中通过野外地质调查与典型段落无人机航拍主要获得了以下2点认识:1)热水-桃斯托河断裂及其全新世活动的发现尚属首次,其长约40km,断裂带东端存在长6km的地表破裂带;2)断裂切过的冲沟和阶地存在左旋位错现象,利用无人机获取高分辨率DEM影像,并对冲沟沟谷的地形剖面进行恢复测量得到的位错量为(9.3±0.5)m、(17.9±1.5)m和(36.8±2)m。对2级冲沟阶地位错进行恢复测量得到T1/T0阶地陡坎的位错量为(18.2±1.5)m,T2/T1阶地陡坎的位错量为(35.8±2)m,可以看出冲沟位错量和阶地位错量的结果较为一致。据历史地震记载,1938年4月10日在热水-桃斯托河断裂地表破裂的东端发生了M5地震,1952年3月21日发生了MS5.0地震,可能均与该断裂的活动有关。但在都兰县县志等相关资料中均未发现有关于这2次地震的文献记录,这可能与当时地震震中比较偏远、都兰县人口稀少且发震时间比较久远有关。东昆仑断裂和鄂拉山断裂最南端会聚形成1个向NW挤出的楔形断块,位于楔形断块端部的都兰盆地受区域NE-SW向主压应力和2条边界断裂剪切作用的影响,经历了挤压伴随局部拉张的复杂变形过程。这主要是由于2条控制楔形断块的边界断裂--东昆仑断裂与鄂拉山断裂之间存在NE-SW向的挤压作用,在这样的挤压过程中,楔形断块局部拉张的具体表现形式为两侧断裂发生走滑,使断块向NW向挤出,因此该区三角楔形挤出的变形机制与纯粹的刚性块体的挤出机制有所不同。在靠近鄂拉山断裂的都兰盆地东北缘形成一系列向SE会聚的羽列状逆冲断裂,其形态上向E与鄂拉山断裂平行,可能在深部汇入鄂拉山断裂;靠近东昆仑断裂带的都兰盆地南缘断裂,即热水-桃斯托河断裂受到东昆仑左旋走滑断裂和鄂拉山右旋走滑断裂共同作用的影响,表现为左旋走滑的活动特征,同时楔形断块向NW挤出,使其东南端出现局部拉张,故断层局部又表现为拉张性质。这些断裂共同吸收或转换高原东北缘的剪切应力。因此,此次对都兰热水-桃斯托河断裂的新发现为更好地认识和理解青藏高原东北部断块内部的变形方式和机制等提供了重要的约束条件和依据。

Vegetation Changes and Human Influences on Qian’an Basin Since the Middle Holocene

Vegetation changes and human influences on natural environments since 5 000 a BP were discussed based on the pollen data supported by radiocarbon dating from Cangumiao and Yujiawa profiles in Qian'an Basin, the southern area of Yanshan Mountain. The research indicates that (1) from 4 600 to 3 100 a BP, deciduous broad_leaved forests dominated by Quercus grew in the Basin, (2) after 3 100 a BP, broad_leaved species reduced and Pinus increased, in response to the cooling climate, (3) since 1 600 a BP, forests had been destroyed seriously due to the increase of agricultural activities, and (4) pollen analysis showed that Castanea trees had been cultivated for 1 600 years, and Oryza had been planted for 700 years in Qian'an Basin.

Is There an Information Field in the Life World？ Empirical Approach Using Electrophotonic Analysis

This paper presents a brief review of distant biological communication phenomena, information fields explained as a transduction of information without energy displacement, experimental requirements for testing this hypothesis with human beings using electrophotonic analysis, oxymetry and electromagnetic shielding. Finally, authors present preliminary results and future work on this new field of interdisciplinary research.

Heavy Metal Contamination of Well Water in the Kipushi Mining Town （Democratic Republic of Congo）

Concentrations of eleven heavy metals （AI, Cd, Co, Cu, Cr, Fe, Mn, Mo, Ni, Pb and Zn） and pH determination in water from nine spade-sunk wells of 2-15 meter depth, five drilled wells of 30-72 meter depth, and two water supply faucets in the Kipushi mining town, south-east of the Democratic Republic of Congo, were investigated from February to July 2011. The results were compared with the World Health Organization （WHO） drinking water pH and heavy metal guidelines. Mean concentrations of Pb in water from four spade-sunk wells and three drilled wells, those of A1 and Fe in water from four and two spade-sunk wells, and those of Cd in water from four drilled wells were higher than the WHO drinking water maximum permissible contaminant limits of 0.01 mg/L, 0.2 mg/L, 0.3 mg/L and 0.003 mg/L respectively, probably due to the mining activities carried out in Kipushi for about 90 years. The pH mean values of water from five spade-sunk wells and three drilled wells were lower than the WHO drinking water pH optimum of 6.5-9.5, suggesting that the water from those eight wells was not conform to the chemical quality of water for human consumption.

Clinical observation of pemetrexed on advanced non-small-cell lung cancer

Objective： The aim of our study was to observe the efficacy and toxicity of 50 cases of advanced non-small cell lung cancer （NSCLC） patients treated by pemetrexed. Methods： Fifty patients, including 29 females and 21 males, with a median age 62 years （35–82 years）, 13 of whom were treated with pemetrexed only and the left 37 cases were treated with pemetrexed combined with platinum in the Department of Oncology, Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University from June 2006 to March 2009. Single agent regimen： patients received pemetrexed 500 mg/m2 on day 1 with every 21 days. Combination regimen： patients received pemetrexed 500 mg/m2 on day 1 and carboplatin 300 mg/m2 on day 1 or cisplatin 35 mg/m2 on day 1 to day 3 or nedaplatin 80 mg/m2 on day 1 by intravenous infusion with 21 days as one cycle. RECIST 1.0 standard was used to evaluate the clinical efficiency, and the WHO toxicity standard was used to evaluate toxic reaction, and the QOL was used to evaluate the quality of life. Results： All patients were given 162 cycles （at least 2 cycles, at most 6 cycles） and the response rate of all the patients were evaluated. There were 2 complete remission （CR）, 7 partial remission （PR）, 22 stable disease （SD） and 19 progressive disease （PD） in the group, the overall response rate was （RR） was 18.0% and disease control rate （DCR） 62.0%. The quality of life improvement rate reaches 58.0%. The major toxic reaction included neutropenia, thrombocytopenia, hypemia, nausea, and vomiting. Most of the severity of these effects was grade I–II and well tolerated. Conclusion： Chemotherapy with pemetrexed or pemetrexed combined with platinum in the treatment of advanced non-small cell lung cancer is effective, safe and well-tolerable, which can improve quality of life of the patient.

On ＂not knowing what to say＂ in the Tragic Face of Another： Radical Phenomenology as Abysmal Consolation

These reflections address the disturbing phenomenon of ＂not knowing what to say＂ to someone who has experienced the immediacy of a traumatic event and who, nevertheless, seeks a word of consolation from us to ease the suffering. The author addresses the inadequacy of consolation as mere verbiage, and then brings to mind an expanded understanding of discourse-as-comportment to offer the possibility of deep consolation for the suffering other in the groundlessness of the tragic situation, which the author calls ＂abysmal consolation＂. In the realization that discourse is also the embodied consolation of being-with the suffering other in a shattered lifeworld, both sufferer and carer of souling are freed up to meet each other in a place that was heretofore presumed to be an alienated and speechless place.

Selectivity of Attention as the Creation of Life-World

This article speaks of the creation of the ＂life-world＂ of human beings through focused attention. It treats attention as distinguishing, selective, arbitrary, and unintentional, associated with sense and the will. It considers the creation of spatial characteristics of attention ＂being-in-the-world,＂ where space is understood both as external and internal. Of the wide range of spatial characteristics of the ＂life-world,＂ I choose the first idea of the ＂distant＂ and ＂close＂ and analyze them in terms of positing attention.

Civilization and Art： Lifeworld in the Variety of Visual Experience

The paper examines the assignment of the visual experience in the context of interrelation between civilization and art. Civilization is defined as ＂the survival of the weak＂. It is stressed that this definition can be applied to man, animal and every living being. Lie as ＂someone else＇s truth＂ and art as ＂the process of the creation of ＇copies of the copies of nature＇＂ are considered to be the weak man＇s tools for survival. The author argues that purpose of erotic scenes and scenes of hunting （death and violence） both in the past and in the present is the excitation at the woman of desire to reproduction.

The Disastrous Lifeworld： A Phenomenological Consideration of Safety, Resilience, and Vulnerability

The lifeworld is, according to Husserl, the horizon of all our experiences, in the sense that it is the background environment of human being＇s competences, practices, and attitudes. The lifewofld is the intersubjective, pre-given in the ontie sense, and immediately perceived world of everyday life. Although Husserl has distinguished the lifeworld from the objective world that natural science describes with mathematical methods, we cannot divide the world on the practical level into the perceived world of ordinary life and the scientific world. The characteristic of human beings is that they live in the environment which they have enormously changed. Modem science has accelerated this tendency： the contemporary world is constructed so deeply scientifically and technologically. Accordingly, as Ulrich Beck pointed out, the risk of the technologically constructed world is often invisible/unperceivable. The disaster at Fukushima nuclear power plants is a terrible testament of this kind of risk. In order for a land to become the lifeworld of meaningful human interactions, the land should be first of all safe and livable for all of us. The risk calculation made by Tokyo Electric Power Company was shown to be sloppy and deceptive. The contemporary techno-science should be democratically governed and watched by all kinds of stakeholders, and never be left it to the specialists of science. For re-establishing the livable and sustainable lifeworld, safety, resilience, and vulnerability should be the fundamental values. And, the autonomy of the local residents, including the most vulnerable people, through the democratization of the techno-science must be the fundamental value to establish and protect such a safe environment.

Stone Bridge and Village Life World：A Case Study on Luqiao Village in Shandong Province, China

Based on the custom of stone bridge and village, by categorizing and interpreting the relationship between Lufeng Bridge （鲁封桥） and Luqiao Village （鲁桥村） in Southern Shandong Province, China, this paper focuses on discussing the dynamic of rural society change in China and the practice of village life world. It provides detailed materials of field research about folk life of stone bridge and village in North China. Here village life world not only includes the folk integration of their everyday life, but also covers local villagers cognitive attitude towards village, such as village history, legend, belief, ritual, clan and other everyday life styles. Expounding and reconstructing of village life world, shows the essential meanings and categories of bridge folklore, it also demonstrates the consequence of shifting connection between stone bridge and village life. Firstly, the crucial context of understanding village life world is still promising. Secondly, folklore fieldwork is an significant part to comprehend the connotation of village life world.

Human Nature, Personality, and Human Freedom in Feng Qi＇s On Wisdom

In creating his theory of wisdom, Feng Qi emphasizes that Chinese Marxist philosophy should move from the theory of knowledge to a discourse on wisdom and concentrate on Chinese people＇s living world and life existence, so as to provide a spiritual home for the Chinese people and thereby highlight the importance of human nature, personality, and human freedom in Chinese Marxist philosophy. In researching human nature, he expatiates on the problems of mind （xin） and human nature （xing）, natural instincts （tian xing） and virtues （de xing）, and general character and individual character; in emphasizing personality, he puts forward the idea that the ideal personality is ＂free personality as a member of ordinary people;＂ in probing into the problems of human freedom, he explains how to get freedom from the basis of practical materialism. This philosophical inquiry enriches Chinese Marxist philosophy＇s researches into the understanding of humanity and the connection of philosophy with the living world, which opens up a new area of development in the sinicization of Marxist philosophy.

Geological Evidence and Characteristics of Activity of the Wuhe-Mingguang Section of Tancheng-Lujiang Fault Zone in Late Pleistocene

As the most influential strike-slip fault in East China,the Tancheng-Lujiang fault zone draws scholars attention for its strong seismic activity. Nevertheless,most research has been conducted along segments in Shandong Province and Bohai Bay where huge earthquakes occur frequently. Meanwhile,it is generally believed that segments lying to the south of Huaihe River have been inactive since the late Quaternary and thus it is incapable of generating moderate or strong earthquakes. However,these understandings about the Tancheng-Lujiang fault have been questioned by our recent work for part of the fault south to the Huaihe River. Based on interpretation of high-resolution satellite images,detailed field investigations near Wuhe county and Mingguang City in northern Anhui Province and elaborate microstructure analysis, we come to the conclusion that the Tancheng-Lujiang fault zone mainly consists of four branches and at least one should be active since the late Pleistocene for the Wuhe-Mingguang section. This segment is monopolized by dextral strike-slip motion in late Quaternary. Different from obvious faults in bed rocks or consolidated sediments,the latest activity trace in Quaternary loose sediment revealed by trench excavation is not obvious or even invisible to visual observation. According to our recent work and previous studies, we call for more attention to be paid to invisible faults in young sediment and also suggest that more research be conducted along this seemingly placid segment.

Philosophy of Science and Post-theoretical Life-World

Philosophy of science has arisen as alternative to epistemology, because scientific development wanted another kind of explanation than traditional epistemological one. The latter kind of explanation is theoretically loaded and based on latent ontological assumptions. Epistemology offers science a ＂road map＂ for researcher＇s thinking. Thus epistemology knows what science should be, and philosophy of science take science for granted--existing as an empirical fact. Philosophy of science had always been a reflective and critical discipline that didn＇t want any a-priory knowledge. The main distinction between these fields of knowledge is as follows： epistemology is theoretical and projective kind of knowledge whereas philosophy of science is a non-theoretical, or better, a ＂post-theoretical＂ discipline. All facts and statements arising from philosophy of science lie within the heterogeneous space, where there is continuous transit of pre-theoretical, theoretical and post-theoretical versions of knowledge. The inevitability of conservation and utilization of human thought products is recognized, which is supplemented by the need to study the impact of theoretical thinking upon social practices.

Zircon SHRIMP U-Pb dating for island arc volcanic rock of Fangniugou area in Yitong region of Jilin Province

Polymetallic iron ore sulphate deposits of marine volcanic rock have been developed in the Fangniugou area,Jilin Province,China,but the division of volcanic ore-bearing strata has not been specifically elucidated and there is disagreement about the division.The sampling and SHRIMP U-Pb zircon dating of volcanic rock for Daheishan in the Fangniugou area and the northeast slope of the Duanjiadian were described.The volcanic rock formation period and recorded the volcanic events in the Daheishan mountains were systematically researched.Two samples of high-precision U-Pb zircon dating were used to represent the volcanic rock fomation period of the Late Silurian.The measured data reflect that multiple volcanic activities occurred during the Middle Silurian,Early Silurian,Middle Ordovician and Silurian,and Late Ordovician,probably matching volcanic events in the Songnan Basin identified from zircon dating.At the same time,it is confirmed that a controversial "conglomerate of Daheishan" did in fact develop in the Late Silurian,and those sections of both the Dazigou and Xinlitun-Taoshan with graptolite had been reversed.

Lived Music Multi-dimensional Musical Experience： Implications for Music Education

Within the field of music education, there is a need of approaching the holistic view of musical experience from different angles. Therefore, the aim of this article is to investigate the phenomenon of multi-dimensional musical experience from a life-world-phenomenological perspective and indicate its benefits to music education. The analysis is informed by Dufrenne＇s philosophical writings regarding the phenomenology of aesthetic experience and also draws on Merleau-Ponty, Heidegger, interpreted by Benson and Ford, together with Schutz. These philosophers provide tools for understanding musical experience from a bodily, existential, and sociological perspective, and their complementary ideas about being and learning can be applied to musical experience in the first case and secondly its influences for music educational praxis. Firstly, the concept of lived music is defined through a discussion of dimensions of musical experience; the phenomenology of aesthetic experience; the use of several senses; the heard and the hear-able; apperception; and musical dwelling. Then, the sharing of experience in musical dwelling and its relevance to the concept of imagination is highlighted. I will also emphasize the importance of the view of human beings as holistic bodily subjects. Finally, the article includes a discussion regarding the implications of a life-world-phenomenological view of musical experience to music education.

Anne Frank： The Commemoration of Individual Experiences of the Holocaust

Holocaust memorial sites rarely tell the story of individual fates but rather give attention to the main or larger population groups that were the focus of persecution and extermination during the Nazi Germany twelve years of terror in Europe 1933-45. This essay takes a closer look at one of the most remarkable exemptions of the prevailing memory culture at Holocaust memorials： the sites and events highlighting Anne Frank and her short life in troubled times. Over the past years millions of travelers from all over the world have shown a genuine interest in learning about the life world of their young heroine thus creating what has been termed Anne Frank Tourism. In 2014, 1.2 million people visited the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam： the museum and educational center, the place in hiding where she wrote her now famous and widely read diary. Several other sites connected to the life path of Anne Frank, from her birth place in Frankfurt to the Bergen-Belsen Concentration Camp where her life prematurely ended, have also become part of the mostly young tourists＇ search for Anne Frank＇s life and legacy. With the rising popularity of Anne Frank related sites the management of some of the locales has become more problematic which is discussed in the context of a several museums, centers and historic sites. On a more general note, it is argued here that in recent years the more group oriented commemoration practices at Holocaust sites have given way to a trend of putting individual faces to the victims of the Holocaust. It was, in particular, novels, films and TV productions about the Holocaust that emphasized individual life paths and events and enticed visitation to more personalized sites. Steven Spielberg＇s popular movie Schindler＇s List, for example, contributed to ＂Schindler tourism＂, a form of special interest tourism in Krakow. More and more Holocaust memorial sites have also started to honor outstanding individuals or small groups in resistance and opposition to Nazi Germany. Examples of this are the fighters of the 1943 uprising at the Sobibor death camp and the courageous student members of the ＂White Rose＂ in Munich who stood up to the powers of the time and were executed. In the concluding part the question will be raised of what is the proper approach in the representation of the fate of the victims of Nazi Germany： A personalized approach or a greater focus on an explanation of the ideology and policies behind the rule of terror which may contribute to the visitors＇ better understanding of a complex history？

Debates on the Causes of Global Warming

The controversy between the IPCC and Non-governmental IPCC(NIPCC) on the attribution of global warming are reviewed.IPCC holds that today's global warming is mainly due to anthropogenic activities rather than natural variability,which is emphasized by NIPCC.The surface temperature observations since the mid-20th century support the hypothesis of anthropogenic impact,but for the last one hundred years or so,natural forcings such as solar activity, volcanic eruptions and thermohaline circulation variations also have had great influences on the Earth's climate,especially on inter-decadal timescales.In addition,evidence suggests that the Medieval Warm Period(MWP) and Little Ice Age (LIA) are closely associated with the solar activity over the past 1 thousand years.Over the past 10 thousand years, the North Atlantic cold events and solar activity are closely correlated.Nevertheless,the physical mechanisms of the solar-climate variability and interrelation are not well understood,yet.Notably,a prevailing view recently indicates that galactic cosmic rays may result in climatic cooling through modulating global low cloud cover.However,its process and mechanism need to be further investigated.

The Influence of Anima in Edgar Allen Poe

Through the analysis of Poe＇s works and his life, the influence of anima in Poe＇s soul is explored in this study according to Carl Jung＇s theory of archetype. Anima is one of the archetypes, which made both negative and positive influences in Poe＇s life and literary creation, leading him to be the master of poetry and short stories, but also consumed his life and caused his death in the prime. In the study about the influence of anima in Poe, Anima was proved acting as the feminine complement factors in Poe＇s unconscious, and made Poe more sensitive in literary creation. As Poe knew the man＇s world and also understood the woman＇s world, which is the accumulative influence of both negative and positive influences of Anima in Poe, his literary creativity was strong and he had the unique aesthetics.
