We report the cases of two patients diagnosed with vasospastic angina, with one of which presenting with sudden cardiac arrest, while the other presenting with a relatively benign syncope. But both of them have J waves formation on ECG during active ischemia. The diagnosis and management of vasospastic angina, as well as the proposed clinical significance of J waves during coro- nary soasm are discussed.展开更多

A suitable equilibrium model is required for purificati...L-phenylalanine, one of the nine essential amino acids for the human body, is extensively used as an ingredient in food, pharmaceutical and nutrition industries. A suitable equilibrium model is required for purification of L-phenylalanine based on ion-exchange chromatography. In this work, the equilibrium uptake of L-phenylalanine on a strong acid-cation exchanger SH11 was investigated experimentally and theoretically. A modified Donnan ion-exchange （DIX） model, which takes the activiW into account, was established to predict the uptake of L-phenylalanine at various solution pH values. The model parameters including selectivity and mean activity coefficient in the resin phase are presented. The modified DIX model is in good agreement with the experimental data. The optimum operating pH value of 2.0, with the highest t-phenylalanine uptake on the resin, is predicted by the model. This basic information combined with the general mass transfer model will lay the foundation for the prediction of dynamic behavior of fixed bed separation process.展开更多

Tandem learning, which is based on the principles of reciprocity and autonomy, is ideally suited for adult students. Discriminatory treatment of people belonging to a minority group leads...The sexual orientation discrimination in the labor market is a cause of failure and a source of inequity in the distribution of income and wealth. Discriminatory treatment of people belonging to a minority group leads to lower wages, and it interferes with their promotions and their productivity. The victims of discrimination are often professionally unvalued, and this can cause their eventual lack of growth for both position and salary, notwithstanding their abilities and creativeness would give a great impulse to the economics. In addition to this, the emotional and physical stress linked to （he concealing strategies of people, who are apt to conceal their homosexuality, increases their feelings of discomfort in the labor market. This paper analyzes the relation between sexual orientation and discrimination in the labor market from the theoretical and empirical points of view. It studies the results of a survey carried out in southern Italy and is based on the sample of 200 gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender （GLBT） employees.展开更多

This type of training also means that the language of the educators will change .We need to develop a new multilinguistic, multimedia, and multidisciplinary conception oriented towards the learning activities of the student. Our goals is to transform multimedia design into an important creative industry in our region, we created ＂Project Untitled＂ at Universidad Maimonides. This is an artistic collective undertaking that includes teachers, directors, and students of the School of Multimedia Communication and Design. The goal of this project is to cooperate with learning paradigms in order to reach the quality that a true society of knowledge needs. Education is fundamental for the development of any nation, including the ＂periphery countries＂, which can contribute a different point of view, and which, in this sense, can offer wider possibilities, precisely because these countries have the ＂critical distance＂ that, probably, core countries are short of.展开更多

An 18-week experiment was carried out incorporating the C-R activities into a Comprehensive English Course. A writing task and semi-structured interviews were administered after the experiment. Results indicated that （1） the frequency and accuracy of verb patterns used by Experimental Group （EG） were higher than those in the Control Group （CG）; （2） C-R activities promoted the use of the students’ reference material and their ability to notice gaps in meaning, enhanced their interest and confidence in learning English, and guided their personal learning of vocabulary; （3） the EG generally liked the activities.展开更多

But value problems still need to be resolved. Although absolute value neutrality is infeasible, relative value neutrality is possible and necessary for political studies, which means objective observation of social facts and breaking away from ideology in evaluation of political events and theoretical studies. As there are different levels of value, relative value neutrality requires that universal values he insisted upon as a common ground in political evaluation, which is closely related to overlapping consensus and public reason that China needs to seek for its social stability and harmony.展开更多
