By laser scanning fluorescence microscopy for quan-titative measurement of fluorescence intensity changes on egg surface stained with fluorescein isothiocyanate duxing cleavage furrow extending forward, it was found that in area of presumptive cleavage furrow the scanning curve became ∨ shape, indicating dark stripe appeared in that place. Then the fluorescence intensity increased at the place where the botton of ∨ shape had located, and the scanning curve tuxned to ∧ shape, indicating single stripe was formed. While enhanced fluorescence appeared on the borders of ∧ shape, an M shape curve was found, show-ing double stripe occurred. During the distance between two borders of M shape incresing from 50 μm to 100μm,a fluorescence peak came to sight in the middle of the M shape, which being the cleavge furrow bottom. The two lateral sides of furrow bottom with decreasing fluorescence were nascent membrane. At that time the curve became W shape. By the sides of cleavage furrow the the stress folds became conspicous after double stripe stage, showing the stretching of the egg surface being increased. With our[31, 33] and others[32] reports that polylysine could induce the appearance of nascent membrane and phyto-hemagglutinins could decrease or prevent the appearance of nascent membrane, we believed the idea of Schroeder[25] that increasing mechanical stress could initiate nascent membrane formation and thought that the stress lay to the outsides of cleavage furrow. 展开更多

Are there any means in... Nowadays, language has gained great importance due to mass media which allows men to interact with other people anytime and anywhere. Some issues arise: Do media change the way we communicate? Are there any means in particular that can help people to communicate better? This paper finds the route for individuals to communicate better, understand each other, and promote values of both our society and culture demand. Three main issues are presented to reach this goal: Firstly, the platonic theory about names, if things are called by convention or by its nature. Secondly, three methods by which these names are used: the grammar, the rhetoric, and the dialectics. Lastly, how orality is a fundamental means for human communication. Each of these subjects will become arguments to support that dialogue is the most suitable and human way for men to communicate, because it gives the necessary tools to man to build himself according to his nature, that is to say, the search for the good and the rational perfection. 展开更多

Research on paleoearthquakes in Jiuxian trenches across Nankou-Sunhe fault zone in Changping County of Beijing plain 被引量:6

An abundance of the phenomena of tectonic deformation and paleoseismic events of different times and their recurrent interval, as well as coseismic vertical displacements is exposed in Jiuxian trenches across the Nankou-Sunhe fault zone in Changping County. The research result shows three paleoearthquakes occurring during the Holocene. They were dated as 10643 ± 250 a B.P.—9706 ± 1235 a B.P., 7894±150 a B.P.—7640 ± 650 a B.P, and 3987+100 a B.P.—3670 ± 310 a B.P, respectively. The coseismic vertical displacements are 1.0 m, 2.0 m, and 2.0 m, respectively. From a statistical formula of relation between historic earthquake magnitudes and surface seismic dislocations in North China, the magnitudes of these paleoearthquakes are inferred to be in a range fromM 7.7 toM 7.9. The research shows that the Holocene fault activity in the plain can be traced in the trenches according to the micro-geomorphic features. Many micro-structural phenomena are also found in these trenches. Identification of the paleoearthquakes in the Nankou-Sunhe fault zone during the Holocene time is of significance for assessment of future seismic risk in Beijing area. 展开更多
