China is the most-frequently studied nation in Asian mass communication research. The past the 14th Dalai Lama's image studies mainly focus on Western mainstream newspapers, due to the fact that these newspapers are well established and frequently read by policy-makers and other influential individuals. In recent years, "Social media" has become a new buzzword. Social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter and Weibo etc. have made a considerable impact on contemporary life. What is the 14th Dalai Lama's image as it is represented via Western social media? Do Western social media publish the 14th Dalai Lama's different contents, from a different perspective, or in a different way from that of the standard Western mainstream news outlets? Are there any differences between the image of the 14th Dalai Lama on Western social media and on mainstream media? What are differences between the image of the 14th Dalai Lama on Western and Chinese social media when discussing the same event or topic? The research aims to answer these questions the 14th Dalai Lama; Western social media; Chinese social media.展开更多

Patch models involve explicit movements of people between distinct locations. The aim of the present work has been designed and explored a patch model with population mobility between different patches and between each patch and an external population. The authors considered a SIR (susceptible-infected-recovered) scheme. The model was explored by computer simulations. The results show how endemic levels are reached in all patches of the system. Furthermore, the performed explorations suggest that the people mobility between patches, the immigration from outside the system and the infection rate in each patch, are factors that may influence the dynamics of epidemics and should be considered in health policy planning.展开更多

The paper analyzes the historical and present Chinese culture oversea transmission and the strategies of the transmissions. The paper has three parts: The first part is the history of Chinese culture transmission, the second part is the present Chinese transmission, and the third part is the strategies of Chinese culture transmission. And in the conclusion, it is made clear that everyone going abroad or in front of the foreigners is transmitting Chinese culture in one way or another. In order to make Chinese culture popular, some methods should be taken for Chinese visiting or going to other countries.展开更多
