Compression-shear coupling rheological constitutive model of the sediment simulant was established by endochronic theory and the coupling rheological parameters were obtained by compressive and compression-shear creep tests. A new calculation formula of turning traction force of the tracked mining vehicle was first derived based on the coupling rheological model and consideration of pushing resistance and sinkage of the tracked mining vehicle. Effects of the turning velocity, crawler spacing and contacting length of crawler with deep-sea sediment on the turning traction force were analyzed. Research results can provide theoretical foundation for operation safety and optimal design of the tracked mining vehicle.展开更多

The formation mechanism is investigated. On the background of the vertically sheared winter monsoonal flow, anomalous rainfall in the tropical Indo-Western Pacific warm pool excited a wave train towards East Asia in the upper troposphere during boreal winter of 1997/98. The AAC over Northeast Asia and the Japan Sea is part of the wave train of equivalent barotropic structure. The AAC over the Japan Sea persisted from winter to spring and even intensified in spring 1998. The diagnostic calculations show that the vorticity and temperature fluxes by synoptic eddies are an important mechanism for the AAC over the Japan Sea in spring 1998.展开更多

Results show that the outbreak time of the northeast monsoon over the southern SCS lagged that over the northern SCS by about 1 month. During the SCS monsoon reversal period, the SCSwbc reversed rapidly into the winter pattern at the Guangdong continental slope in late September. Subsequently, the southward Vietnam coastal boundary current strengthened. However, the northward Natuna Current maintained a summer state until mid-October. Thus, the balance between the southward and northward currents was lost when they met, their junction moved gradually southward. However, a loop current formed southeast of Vietnam because the main stream of the Vietnam Offshore Current (VOC) remained near its original latitude, Meanwhile, the VOC and associated dipole circulation system strengthened. After mid- October, the northward Natuna Current began to weaken, the loop current finally shed, becoming a cool ring. The VOC and its associated dipole sub-basin circulation system also weakened gradually until it disappeared.展开更多

However there is no practical design guide for the floating wind turbine especially the floating foundation. In this paper, based on the investigation on the worldwide floating wind turbine and current available expertise on floating platforms accumulated in offshore O/G (oil and gas) industry, an integrated design methodology is presented according to the specialized characteristics of wind turbine, including the type selection of foundation and mooring system, design standard, design procedure, design conditions, key technologies involved. Finally a semi-submersible floating foundation is designed to support certain megawatt-rating wind turbine of Goldwind and also performance analysis and code checks are performed to validate the design. The design method of the floating foundation provided in this paper is proved feasible and can be adopted in practical engineering design.展开更多

In situ data are ac- quired from Conductivity-Temperature-Depth (CTD) cruise and Bottom-Mounted Moorings (BMM), which are conducted during a comprehensive survey for the Chinese Offshore Investigation and Assessment Project in winter 2006. It is revealed that the ZMCC is well mixed vertically in winter 2006. The ZMCC (〈14℃) recedes during the relaxation of the wintertime monsoon and is accompanied by the enhanced northward shift of the warm, saline Taiwan Strait Mixed Water (TSMW, higher than 14~C and is constituted by the Taiwan Strait Warm Water and the Kuroshio Branch Water). And greatly enhanced south- ward intrusion of the ZMCC can be detected when the wintertime monsoon restores. Correspondingly, the thermal interface bounded by the ZMCC and the TSMW moves in the northwest/southeast direction, leading to periodic warm/cold reversals of the near-seabed temperature adjacent to the PT. By EOF (Empirical Orthogonal Function) analysis of the large-scale wind fields and wavelet power spectrum analysis of the water level, ocean current and the near-seabed temperature, responses of the ZMCC off the PT to wintertime monsoon relaxation are suggested to be attributed mainly to the southward propagating coast- ally trapped waves triggered by the impeding atmospheric fronts. As a result, ocean current and near-seabed temperature demonstrate significant quasi-5 d and quasi-10 d subtidal oscillations. By contrast, the onshore/offshore water accumulation resulted from Ekman advection driven by the local winds has minor contributions.展开更多
