An active disturbance rejection controller is proposed in this paper to deal with the nonlinear problem of hydraulic servo system in order to preserve last response and small overshoot of control system. The active disturbance rejection (ADR) controller is composed of nonlinear tracking differentiator (TD), extended state observer (ESO) and nonlinear feedback (NF) law. An example of the hydraulic edger system case study is investigated to show the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed nonlinear controller, especially, in the circumstance of foreign disturbance and working condition variation, compared with classic PI controller.展开更多
Including servo valve, hydraulic cylinder, mill and sensor and ignoring nonlinear factors, the linear dynamic model of hydraulic automatic gage control(HAGC) system of a temper rolling mill was theoretically derived. ...Including servo valve, hydraulic cylinder, mill and sensor and ignoring nonlinear factors, the linear dynamic model of hydraulic automatic gage control(HAGC) system of a temper rolling mill was theoretically derived. The order of the model is 4/4, and can be reduced to 2/2. Based on modulating functions method, utilizing numerical integration, we constructed the equivalent identification model of HAGC, and the least square estimation algorithm was established. The input and output data were acquired on line at temper rolling mill in Shangshai Baosteel Group Corporation, and the continuous time model of HAGC system was estimated with the proposed method. At different modulating window intervals, the estimated parameters changed remarkably. When the frequency bandwidth of modulating filter matches that of estimated system, the parameters can be estimated accurately. Finally, the dynamic model of the HAGC was obtained and validated based on the spectral analysis result.展开更多
Using hydraulic power steering system of model EIMCO 922 load-haul-dump vehicle as a simulation example, the dynamic characteristics of hydraulic power steering system in load-haul-dump vehicle were simulated and disc...Using hydraulic power steering system of model EIMCO 922 load-haul-dump vehicle as a simulation example, the dynamic characteristics of hydraulic power steering system in load-haul-dump vehicle were simulated and discussed with SIMULINK software and hydraulic control theory. The results show that the dynamic characteristics of hydraulic power steering system are improved obviously by using bladder accumulator, the hydraulic power steering system of model EIMCO 922 load-haul-dump vehicle generates vibration at the initial stage under the normal steering condition of pulse input, and its static response time is 0.25 s shorter than that without bladder accumulator. Under the normal steering working condition, the capacity of steering accumulator for absorbing pulse is directly proportional to the cross section area of connecting pipeline, and inversely proportional to the length of connecting pipeline. At the same time, the precharge pressure of nitrogen in steering accumulator should be 60%80% of the rated minimum working pressure of hydraulic power steering system. Under the abnormal steering working condition, the steering cylinder piston may obtain higher motion velocity, and the dynamic response velocity of hydraulic power steering system can be increased by reducing the pressure drop of hydraulic pipelines between the accumulator and steering cylinder and by increasing the rated pressure of hydraulic power steering system, but the dynamic characteristics of hydraulic power steering system in load-haul-dump vehicle have nothing to do with the precharge pressure of nitrogen in steering accumulator.展开更多

The experimental system integrated with proportional valves for study was designed. Dynamics modeling of multi-cylinder thrust system and synchronous control design were accomplished. The simulation of the synchronization motion control system was completed in AMESim and Matlab/Simulink software environments. The experiment was conducted by means of master/slave PID with dead band compensating flow and conventional PID regulating pressure. The experimental results show that the proposed thrust hydraulic system and its control strategy can meet the requirements of tunneling in motion and posture control for the shield machine, keeping the non-synchronous error within ±3 mm.展开更多

Dynamical equation of multibody system with quick startup and brake and piezoelectric actuators intelligent structure was built. The optimum driving load was calculated by applying the presented method. The self-sensing and self-tuning closed-loop active vibration control in quick startup and brake process was realized. The control algorithm, using local velocity negative feedback, i.e. the output of a sensor only affects the output of the actuator collocated, can induce damping effectively to actively suppress the system vibration. Based on the optimization design for driving load of multibody system with quick startup and bake, the active damping of piezoelectric actuators intelligent structure was used to farther suppress the vibration of system. Theoretical analysis and calculation of numerical show that the proposed method makes the vibration of system decrease more than the optimal design method for driving load of multibody system.展开更多

Due to control problems res...Hydraulic butterfly valves have been widely applied in marine engineering because of their large switching torque, low pressure loss and suitability for large and medium diameter pipelines. Due to control problems resulting from switching angular speeds of the hydraulic butterfly valve, a throttle-governing control mode has been widely adopted, and detailed analysis has been carried out worldwide on the structural principle concerning speed-regulation and the load torque on the shaft while opening or closing a hydraulic butterfly valve. However relevant reports have yet been published on the change law, the error and the influencing factors of the rotational angular velocity of the hydraulic butterfly valve while opening and closing. In this article, research was based on some common specifications of a hydraulic butterfly valve with a symmetrical valve flap existing in a marine environment. The throttle governing system supplied by the accumulator to achieve the switching of the hydraulic control valve was adopted, and the mathematical models of the system were established in the actual conditions while the numerical simulations took place. The simulation results and analysis show that the rotational angular velocity and the error of the hydraulic butterfly valve while switching is influenced greatly by the drainage amount of the accumulator, resulting in pressure loss in the pipeline, the temperature of hydraulic medium and the load of the hydraulic butterfly valve. The simulation results and analysis provide a theoretical basis for the choice of the total capacity of the accumulator and pipeline diameters in a throttle governing system with a hydraulic butterfly valve.It also determines the type and specification of the hydraulic butterfly valve and the design of motion parameters of the transported fluid.展开更多
The natural frequency of the electrohydraulic system in mobile machinery is always very low,which brings difficulties to the controller design.To improve the tracking performance of the hydraulic system,mathematical m...The natural frequency of the electrohydraulic system in mobile machinery is always very low,which brings difficulties to the controller design.To improve the tracking performance of the hydraulic system,mathematical modeling of the electrohydraulic lifting system and the rubber hose was accomplished according to an electrohydraulic lifting test rig built in the laboratory.Then,valve compensation strategy,including spool opening compensation (SOC) and dead zone compensation (DZC),was designed based on the flow-pressure characteristic of a closed-centered proportional valve.Comparative experiments on point-to-point trajectory tracking between a proportional controller with the proposed compensations and a traditional PI controller were conducted.Experiment results show that the maximal absolute values of the tracking error are reduced from 0.039 m to 0.019 m for the slow point-to-point motion trajectory and from 0.085 m to 0.054 m for the fast point-to-point motion trajectory with the proposed compensations.Moreover,tracking error of the proposed controller was analyzed and corresponding suggestions to reduce the tracking error were put forward.展开更多

The redundancies must be designed in order to as...The flight control systems, designed in order to assure the necessary safety level even in failure conditions, are generally characterized by a proper redundant layout. The redundancies must be designed in order to assure an adequate system behavior when some failures are present; in fact an incorrect layout may cause serious shortcomings concerning the response when some component is not operational. Therefore the usual correct design activities request the complete analysis of the system behavior in failure condition. The work analyses the response of a redundant secondary flight control hydraulic servo-mechanism equipped with some proper equalization devices, when some of the most probable and representative failures are present. It must be noted that the redundancy layout, designed in order to assure the necessary safety level even in failure conditions, may behave improperly during normal operations, if the system architecture is unsuitable, when manufacturing defects are present. The improper behavior, generally consisting of force fighting or speed fighting caused by different offsets or asymmetries between the two sections of the system, may be usually overcome by means of a suitable equalization device. Therefore, the system behavior during and following the failure transient greatly depends on both its redundancy architecture and related equalization device. The above mentioned problems have been studied by means of an appropriate physical-mathematical model of a typical electro-hydraulic servo-mechanism prepared to the purpose, performing a certain number of simulations of representative actuations in which different types of failures are accurately modeled. In the opinion of the authors, this paper concerns a topic quite neglected but important in the technical literature. At the best of the authors' knowledge, no specific scientific work in this field is available, excepting some industrial technical reports.展开更多

The...Generally speaking, hydraulic control systems can be divided into two different driving concepts. The first one is the well-known hydraulic valve-controlled system and the second one is the pump-controlled system. The former possesses the feature of fast dynamic response. However, the poor energy-saving performance is its major fault. On the contrary, the hydraulic pump-controlled system has the significant advantage of energy-saving which meets the current demand in modem machine design. In this paper, the simulation analysis using MatLab/SimuLink and DSHplus software for a newly developed energy-saving hydraulic tube bender is conducted. Instead of the conventional fixed displacement hydraulic pump, the new hydraulic tube bender utilizes an internal gear pump with AC servomotor as its driving power source. In the new energy-saving hydraulic circuit, the use of conventional pressure relief valve and unloading valve are no longer necessary since the demanded flow-rate and pressure output can be precisely obtained by continuously changing the speed of the AC servomotor. In addition, two closed-loop control schemes using fuzzy sliding-mode controller are adopted and compared. To compare the energy-saving control systems, such as load-sensing control system, constant supply pressure control scheme and conventional hydraulic control scheme. Furthermore, the simulation results also show that the newly developed hydraulic tube bender can save up to 43% of energy consumption in a working cycle as compared to the conventional hydraulic tube bender.展开更多

The master cylinder is always position tracking controlled by a second-order sliding mode controller and the slave cylinder is integrated with a force tracking controller which is a first order sliding mode controller. When the position tracking error is less than a given value, the slave cylinder switches to be force controlled. Two synchronization control methods are presented based on the switching scheme: the master - master + force/position switching control and the master - slave + force/position switching control. The aim of the research is to develop a versatile robot platform which could travel fleetly in outdoor terrain with long time of en- durance and high load carrying ability. The current version is 1. lm long and 0.48m wide, and weights about 150kg. Each leg has four rotational joints driven by hydraulic cylinders and one pas- sive translational joint with spring. The torso carries the control system and the power system. A no- vel control algorithm is developed based on a Spring-Loaded Inverted Pendulum model and the prin- ciple of joint function separation. The robot can not only cross a 150mm high obstacle in static gait and trot at 2.5km/h and l km/h on the level-ground and 10°sloped-terrain respectively, but also au- tomatically keep balanced under lateral disturbance. 文摘If the rigidity of a mechanism is stiff enough, the position synchronous error of the two cylinders driving one degree-of-freedom (DOF) of the mechanism may be less than the resolution of position sensors. To handle this synchronization problem this paper proposes a force/position switching scheme, which partitions the two cylinders into a master cylinder and a slave cylinder. The master cylinder is always position tracking controlled by a second-order sliding mode controller and the slave cylinder is integrated with a force tracking controller which is a first order sliding mode controller. When the position tracking error is less than a given value, the slave cylinder switches to be force controlled. Two synchronization control methods are presented based on the switching scheme: the master - master + force/position switching control and the master - slave + force/position switching control. 文摘A prototype of hydraulically powered quadruped robot is presented. The aim of the research is to develop a versatile robot platform which could travel fleetly in outdoor terrain with long time of en- durance and high load carrying ability. The current version is 1. lm long and 0.48m wide, and weights about 150kg. Each leg has four rotational joints driven by hydraulic cylinders and one pas- sive translational joint with spring. The torso carries the control system and the power system. A no- vel control algorithm is developed based on a Spring-Loaded Inverted Pendulum model and the prin- ciple of joint function separation. The robot can not only cross a 150mm high obstacle in static gait and trot at 2.5km/h and l km/h on the level-ground and 10°sloped-terrain respectively, but also au- tomatically keep balanced under lateral disturbance. In this paper, the mechanical structure and control systems are also discussed. Simulations and experiments are carried out to validate the design and algorithms.

文摘With the rapid development of the global economy,more and more attention has been paid to the energy conservation of construction machinery.The hydraulic system is the key component of construction machinery,and improving its energy utilization rate has become an important means to achieve energy conservation.In conventional valve-controlled or pump-controlled hydraulic systems of construction machinery,controllability and energy-saving performance typically cannot be considered at the same time.The pump-valve coordinated system combines the energy-saving characteristics of the pump-controlled system and the high-precision and high-frequency response of the valve-controlled system,which has the potential to become a primary research direction of electro-hydraulic systems.This review summarizes the recent research progress in energy-saving technologies based on pump-valve coordinated systems.Particularly,we discuss the structures of hydraulic systems in different categories of construction machinery,various control methods of the electro-hydraulic system,novel hydraulic hybrid energy regeneration systems,and key components.In addition,future directions and challenges of the pump-valve coordinated systems are described,such as independent metering system(IMS),common pressure rail(CPR),and hybrid power source(HPS).

文摘A single on/off valve is used to carry out the position control of the asymmetrical hydraulic cylinder. The influence of the nominal flow rate on the positional accuracy of piston is investigated and the proximate formula for calculating the nominal flow rate of on/off valve is introduced. The system structure proposed in this paper could avoid cavitation and hyper pressure in two chambers to some extent. The simulation results indicated that the control method in this paper could satisfy the expected control requirements.
