The calculation on humidification is carried out at 423.15—573.15K, 5—15MPa. The results suggest that to produce high-enthalpy moist air, high water temperature and large water flow are needed. The water temperature is the most sensitive parameter to the humidification tower. And it is better for the humidification tower to work at temperature higher than 523 K when the system pressure is higher than 5 MPa. The comparison between the model used in this paper and ideal model shows that the ideal model can be used in simulation to simply the calculation when the temperature is lower than 473 K and pressure is lower than 5 MPa.展开更多

The results show that under atomization gas pressure p=4.5 MPa,the greater the annular slit width D,the lower the static temperature near the central hole outlet at the front end of the melt delivery tube, and the smaller the aspirating pressure at the front end of the melt delivery tube. These features can effectively prevent the occurrence of the clogging phenomenon of metallic melt. Under an annular slit width of D=1.2 mm,when the atomization gas pressure satisfies 1 MPa ≤ p ≤ 2 MPa and increases gradually, the aspirating pressure at the front end of the melt delivery tube will decline rapidly. This can prevent the clogging phenomenon of metallic melt. However, when the atomization gas pressure p >2 MPa,the greater the atomization gas pressure, the lower the static temperature near the central hole outlet at the front end of the melt delivery tube, and the greater the aspirating pressure at the front end of the melt delivery tube. Hence, the effect of preventing the solidification-induced clogging phenomenon of metallic melt is restricted. When atomization gas pressure is p =4.5 MPa and annular slit width is D=1.2 mm,the greater the protrusion length H of the melt delivery tube, and the smaller the aspirating pressure at its front end. The static temperature near the central hole that can be observed in its front end is approximate to effectively prevent the occurrence of clogging phenomenon of metallic melt. However, because of the small aspirating pressure, the metallic melt flows into the atomizing chamber from the central hole at the front end of the melt delivery tube at an increasing speed and the gas-melt ratio in the mass flow rate is reduced, which is not conducive to the improvement of atomization performance.展开更多

When the superficial liquid velocity or the superficial gas velocity is constant, the pressure fluctuations and the probability distribution of the average velocity of slug flow are clear for all of the five experimental conditions. The results of experiment show that the pressure characteristics of slug flow in curved tubes have periodic fluctuations. With the rise of central angle, the period of pressure fluctuation is more obvious. The system pressure of the slug flow increases with the increasing of superficial liquid/gas velocity. Meanwhile, the probability distribution of pressure signal shows regularity, such as unimodal, bimodal or multimodal.展开更多

In order to investigate lots of mechanisms involved in this phase of the accident's evolution, an experimental campaign called S GI was performed in 1994 in Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe, now KIT. This campaign consists of nine experiments which have been dedicated to assess the effects of different pressure injection, the nozzle's size and the presence of inner confinement in the formation of the rising bubble. Three of these experiments, which were focused on the pressure effects, have now been simulated with SIMMER III code and with FLUENT 6.3, a commercial CFD code. Both codes, despite their different features, have showed a good agreement with the experimental results. In particular, time trend evolutions of pressures and bubble volumes have been well reproduced by simulation. Furthermore, both codes agree on the shape of the bubble, even though they have evidenced same discrepancies with the experimental shape.展开更多

By solving the new motion equation using Runge-Kutta fourth order methodwith adaptive step size control, the dynamic behaviors of cavitation bubble driven by the varying pressure fielddownstream of a venturi cavitation reactor are numerically simulated. The effects of liquid temperature (correspondingto the saturated vapor pressure of liquid), cavitation number and inlet pressure of venturi on radial motionof bubble and pressure pulse due to the radial motion are analyzed and discussed in detail. Some dynamicbehaviors of bubble different from those in previous papers are displayed. In addition, the internal relationshipbetween bubble dynamics and process intensification is also discussed. The simulation results reported in thiswork reveal the variation laws of cavitation intensity with the flow conditions of liquid, and will lay a foundationfor the practical application of hydrodynamic cavitation technology.展开更多
