S 6010(US) with nanocrystals of zeolitic imidazolate frameworks(ZIF-300) in varying degrees. Solution-casting technique was used to fabricate various MMMs to optimize their CO_2 capturing performance from both dry and wet gases. The prepared composite membranes indicated enhanced filler-polymer interfacial adhesion, consistent distribution of nanofiller, and thermally established matrix configuration. CO_2 permeability of the membranes was enhanced as demonstrated by gas sorption and permeation experiments performed under both dry and wet conditions. As compared to neat Ultrason? membrane, CO_2 permeability of the composite membrane doped with 40 wt% ZIF-300 nanocrystals was increased by four times without disturbing CO_2/N_2 ideal selectivity. In contrast to majority of previously reported membranes, key features of the fabricated MMMs include their structural stability under humid conditions coupled with better and unaffected gas separation performance.展开更多

The mixed catalyst of 3%Ca+5%Na-BL increases greatly the carbon conversion and gasification rate constant by accelerating the gasification reaction C+H2O→CO+H2 due to presence of alkali surfacecompounds [COM], [CO2M] and exchanged calcium phenolate and calcium carboxylate (-COO)2. By adding CaCO3 into BL catalyst in gasification, in addition to improving the catalyst function and enhancing the carbon conversion, the effective desulphurization is also achieved, but the better operating temperature should be below 900℃. The homogenous and shrinking core models can be successfully employed to correlate the relations between the conversion and the gasification .time .and to estimate the reaction rate constant, The reaction acUvaUon energy and pre-exponential factor are estimated and the activation energy for mixed catalyst is in a range of 98.72-166.92 kJ·mol^-1, much less than 177.50-196.46 kJ·mol^-1 for non-catalytic steam gasification for three experimental coals.展开更多

Urinary samples from three groups of rats were determined including control rats, rats treated with blended cigarettes(nonmenthol cigarettes) and rats treated with menthol cigarettes. The total urinary 4-(methylnitrosamino)-1-(3-pyridyl)-1-butanol(NNAL), total 1-hydroxypyrene(1-HOP) and 3-hydroxybenzo[a] pyrene(3-HOBaP) were determined for assessing exposure to cigarette sidestream smoke toxins. Urinary endogenous metabolites in the three groups of rats were also analyzed and the data were processed by chemometrics. Eleven endogenous metabolites were found and identified. Their relative levels were compared among the three groups. The results show that cigarette sidestream smoke has complex effect on rats. Blended cigarette group makes difference to menthol cigarette group in the rats' urinary metabolic changes. Menthol adding to cigarettes has positive and negative effects on rats, respectively. The urinary metabolic profiling of menthol cigarette group is closer to that of control group.展开更多

The results show that higher inlet air temperatures and lower inlet air velocities lower the flow resistance and increase the heat transfer coefficient. The stainless steel packing had better surface wettability and larger thermal conductivity than the plastic packing, which enhanced the heat transfer between the water and the saturated moist air. When both the flow resistance reduction and the heat transfer enhancement were considered, the experimental results gave an optimal packing-specific surface area. A packed heat exchanger tower was designed for waste heat recovery from the flue gas of gas-fired boilers based on the experimental results which had better flow and heat transfer characteristics with lower pump and fan power consumption, more stable system operation and less thermal fluctuations compared with a non-packed heat transfer system with atomized water.展开更多
