In order to improve the estimation accuracy of the battery's state of charge(SOC) for the hybrid electric vehicle(HEV),the SOC estimation algorithm based on advanced wavelet neural network(WNN) is presented.Based on advanced WNN,the SOC estimation model of a lithium-ion power battery for the HEV is first established.Then,the convergence of the advanced WNN algorithm is proved by mathematical deduction.Finally,using an adequate data sample of various charging and discharging of HEV batteries,the neural network is trained.The simulation results indicate that the proposed algorithm can effectively decrease the estimation errors of the lithium-ion power battery SOC from the range of ±8% to ±1.5%,compared with the traditional SOC estimation methods. 展开更多

Small-hydro power station is often used in remote areas beside a river,but it doesn't match electricity demand so well,especially in dry seasons. A photovoltaic (PV) system with battery is a suitable option to complement the electricity gap. In this paper,a new structure of megawatt-class PV system integrating battery at DC-bus (DC: direct current) is proposed to be used in hydro/PV hybrid power system,and 4 main designing considerations and several key equipments are discussed. In 2011,a 2 MWp PV station with the proposed structure was built up in Yushu,China. From stability analysis,the station shows a strong stability under load cut-in/off and solar irradiance's fluctuation. 展开更多

This paper presents the modelling, simulation and analysis of the dynamic behaviour of a mixed power network of 2.78 GW including hydro, thermal and wind power plants. The modelling of each power plant is described. The set of parameters of the turbine speed governor of the hydroelectric power plant is determined with a specific identification procedure to achieve stable operation for different cases such as interconnected, isolated or islanded operation. The analysis of the stability of the entire mixed islanded power plant is investigated through time domain simulations for different sets of controllers parameters and for different disturbances (load rejection and turbulent wind speed profile). 展开更多

Micro the early stage of network development related to micro network operation concepts are modeled on the control of large power system. Studied the harmonic control of the 6 kV power grid in a coal mine substation.Taking harmonic suppression and reactive power compensation into account, and complyingwith the economic and efficient technical line of the smart grid, a new hybrid activefilter was proposed and applied to the power grid in the coal mine with the advantagessuch as large capacity, low cost and low loss.In order to improve detection speed and reducethe succeeding errors to improve the filtering performance of the active power filter,the DFT (Discrete Fourier Transform) sliding window algorithm based on coordinatetransformation and improved hysteresis control method was proposed.The Matlab simulationresults show that the hybrid active filter is satisfactory, can improve the grid powerfactor and can meet the requirements of improving the power quality in the coal mine. 展开更多

This paper proposes an optimal configuration of the distributed hybrid renewable generations based on the stand-alone micro-grid system, considering the diesel as the main control source. Due to the natural sources and load of user changes randomly and the non-tinearity of the power output by renewable generations, an intelligent optimization method based on the improvement of the genetic algorithm and the control strategy are discussed. The instance analysis is compared with the optimization result of the hybrid system based on HOMER (hybrid optimization of multiple energy resources) and GA (genetic algorithm) method on Matlab software. The simulation result of the optimal configuration showed the new hybrid renewable system and would improve the power supply situation which decreased the cost of energy greatly compared with the conventional form of power supply system which was operated only by diesel. The conclusion of the comparing result between HOMER and GA method shows the advantages of the strategy for the diesel as main control sources. 展开更多
