The MPC is employedas a feedback controller for the coagulation process with alarge time delay. The DOB is adopted to estimate the severedisturbances in the turbidity control, such as large changes inraw water quality and water flow rate. The estimated valuesare applied for feed-forward compensation to rejecdisturbances. Finally, the disturbance rejection performancesfor step disturbances and time-varying disturbances in thenominal case and model mismatch case are tested. Thesimulation results illustrate that, compared with the MPCmethod, the proposed method can significantly improve thedisturbance rejection performance in the turbidity control othe treated water, no matter if in the presence of externadisturbances or internal model mismatch disturbances. 展开更多

In order to raise the detection precision of the extended binary phase shift keying (EBPSK) receiver, a detector based on the improved particle swarm optimization algorithm (IMPSO) and the BP neural network is designed. First, the characteristics of EBPSK modulated signals and the special filtering mechanism of the impacting filter are demonstrated. Secondly, an improved particle swarm optimization algorithm based on the logistic chaos disturbance operator and the Cauchy mutation operator is proposed, and the EBPSK detector is designed by utilizing the IMPSO-BP neural network. Finally, the simulation of the EBPSK detector based on the MPSO-BP neural network is conducted and the result is compared with that of the adaptive threshold-based decision, the BP neural network, and the PSO-BP detector, respectively. Simulation results show that the detection performance of the EBPSK detector based on the IMPSO-BP neural network is better than those of the other three detectors. 展开更多

In the present CPDA network, we add some chaotic parameters in the energy function, which make the Hopfield neural network escape from the attraction of a local minimal solution and with the parameter annealing, our model will converge to the global optimal solutions quickly and steadily. The converge ability and other characters are also analyzed in this paper. The benchmark examples show the present CPDA neural network's merits in nonlinear global optimization. 展开更多

Aiming at the potential presence of mixing automatic identification system(AIS) signals,a new demodulation scheme was proposed for separating other interfering signals in satellite systems.The combined iterative cross-correlation demodulation scheme,referred to as CICCD,yielded a set of single short signals based on the prior information of AIS,after the frequency,code rate and modulation index were estimated.It demodulates the corresponding short codes according to the maximum peak of cross-correlation,which is simple and easy to implement.Numerical simulations show that the bit error rate of proposed algorithm improves by about 40% compared with existing ones,and about 3 dB beyond the standard AIS receiver.In addition,the proposed demodulation scheme shows the satisfying performance and engineering value in mixing AIS environment and can also perform well in low signal-to-noise conditions. 展开更多

The dynamical evolution of the concurrence, which measures the degree of the entanglement between the two qubits, is plotted versus the scaled time gt. It is found that the two qubits can be entangled by the coherent state field even when they are initially prepared in the most mixed state, and for very weak field, the most mixed state can be; more easily entangled than some pure states. It is also found that the entanglement between the qubits sensitively depends on the relative difference of the atomic couplings and the mean photon number of the field. 展开更多

A study carried out for assessment of acaricide for control and how to show resistance of hard tick (Ixodidae) with some types of acaricide which available in Sulaimani marked froro February to April 2012, isolated 80 cattle (local breed) naturally infested with hard tick. Six hundred and fifteen ticks min7 tick/cattle including three genera species were collected and identified, the highest Boophilus spp. followed by Hyalomma spp., and Rhipicephalus spp. were less frequent species collected. Experimental cattle divided into four groups each group content 20 cattle, treatment with four types acaricide and their average of infestation in cattle with Boophilus spp. 33 (41.25%) as the commonest, followed by Hyalomma spp. 31 (75.38%), Rhipicephalus spp. 11 (13.75%) and 5 (6.25%) found mixed infested with Boophilus spp. and Hyalomma spp. 65 (81.3%) of cattle samples had emaciation and skin lesions. According to site of infestation, it showed that inguinal region was the most common predilection site for the ticks. Observed the genera Boophilus spp., there were highly significant differences (12.52%) between different tick species when calculated by general test (LSD). The objective of this study was to estimate and compare these acaricide to control hard tick, and there was highly significant relation between different species of hard ticks when treated by these acaricide, according to the chi-square tests. The activities of the acaricide through the time of application were different on the tick genera species. Diazinon (60%) and carbamate (saven 85%) has been a greater degree than other acaricide resistance, while shows the activity of both acaricide injectable ivermactin and cypromethrein through the early time on all species. The results of the study otherwise provide encouraging possibilities for the potential use recommended dose with both acaricide ivermactin-l% and cypromethrine-10%. 展开更多

This paper is concerned with the design and application of coaxial mixers with the aid of analysis of interaction between each individual impeller. Two types of coaxial mixers pitched blade turbine(PBT)-helical ribbon(HR)and inner-outer HR operated in laminar regime were studied experimentally and numerically. The interaction implies synergistic and interference effects, which was revealed through the investigation of axial circulation rate, energy dissipation rate and power consumption. The influence factors including rotational speed ratio,rotating mode and impeller configuration were explored systematically. Quantitative analysis of power consumption involves three parameters: rate of variation in power consumption, interactive mode and ratio of power consumption. Analysis indicated that some important properties were embodied in the power curve.These properties are one-way and two-way interactions, critical speed ratio and dominant impeller. This paper introduces a new method to detect weak signals by the way of disturbing the damping ratio. The authors choose the duffing equation, using MATLAB to carry on the simulation, to study the changes of the system when the signal to be measured is added to the damping ratio. The pile working load depends on the imperfections which may be taken place in pile-soil system, during pile construction, among many other factors. This subject attracted the researcher's attention world wide in the last decades. Types of imperfections either geotechnical or structural are documented in literature and well explained. Nevertheless, the influence of these imperfections in pile load calculations is still ambiguous. The work presented herein is devoted to study soil disturbance during construction of piles using continuous flight auger, CFA. The study of soil disturbance due to drilling needs some evidence. The source of this evidence is field observations collected from four different construction sites, which are documented in this paper. The study concluded that the disturbed zone of soil by CFA has a conical shape and extending laterally to a distance equivalent to ten times of the pile diameter around the auger at the cutting bits and has an inclined surface of4:1 (vertical : horizontal). Furthermore excess pore water pressure was induced in soil in the vicinity of pile drilling. Due to this excess pore water pressure, 3.5% to 6.5% of piles constructed by CFA showed percolation of water from the top of the piles through fresh concrete. Also, subsidence of fresh concrete in pile hole was recorded in few of the constructed piles. Pile loading tests showed that the percolation of water and/or subsidence of fresh concrete have not appreciable influence on the load-displacement characteristics of the piles.
