We derive the theoretical results and corresponding approximate expressions of the achievable SE in multi-cell systems with maximum ratio combining(MRC) detector and in single-cell systems with zero-forcing(ZF) detector. Based on approximated results, the effects of physical parameters, including the transmit power, the number of antennas, the proportion of full-resolution ADCs and the quantization precision of the low-resolution ADCs on the achievable SE are revealed. Furthermore, we propose the power allocation algorithms based on the lower bound and upper bound of approximate achievable SE. Our results show that the total achievable SE improves by increasing the number of BS antennas, the signal-to-noise ratio(SNR), and the quantization precision. Results showcase that proposed power allocation algorithms remarkably improve the total achievable SE comparing to the equal power allocation algorithm, which verifies the effectiveness of our proposed schemes.展开更多

The perturbation to symmetries for the nonholonomic system in terms of quasi-coordinates under small excitation is discussed. The concept of high-order adiabatic invariant is presented, and the forms of exact invariants and adiabatic invariants as well as the conditions for their existence are given. Then the corresponding inverse problem is studied.展开更多

However, various problems have an ongoing discussion. When the production of electricity by RESs exceeds the power consumption, it is possible to cause a steep variation of point voltage and a deviation from a proper voltage range in a distribution system to which RESs are interconnected. When EVs and PHEVs have spread to the distribution system, a new peak power-demand and a steep voltage drop might occur in the midnight charging time zone in case the electricity charges are low. in this paper, the authors analyze the effects on the distribution system under widespread PVs, EVs, and PHEVs. In addition, the authors propose an improvement plan and analyze about the influence and contribution.展开更多

Due to the natural sources and load of user changes randomly and the non-tinearity of the power output by renewable generations, an intelligent optimization method based on the improvement of the genetic algorithm and the control strategy are discussed. The instance analysis is compared with the optimization result of the hybrid system based on HOMER (hybrid optimization of multiple energy resources) and GA (genetic algorithm) method on Matlab software. The simulation result of the optimal configuration showed the new hybrid renewable system and would improve the power supply situation which decreased the cost of energy greatly compared with the conventional form of power supply system which was operated only by diesel. The conclusion of the comparing result between HOMER and GA method shows the advantages of the strategy for the diesel as main control sources.展开更多

Because chemical treatments employed to contrast such pests elicit serious environmental and human health problems, a great effort is currently directed to develop long term and environmentally friendly biological control strategies. However, the successful application of some promising techniques, such as the Sterile Insect Technique (SIT), requires a deep knowledge of the pest basic biology. Here, we argue that understanding pest sexual biology using a social network approach can significantly improve the performance of con- trol strategies. For example, SIT may benefit from understanding how individuals interact and how males accede to reproduction, in order to target the most reproductively active and polygamic males. In this paper we studied the socio-sexual networks of the Asian red palm weevil (RPW) Rhynchophorusferrugineus, a worldwide invader which is causing heavy economic impacts on several palm species. We found that the RPW has a highly promiscuous mating system, characterized by forced interruptions of pair copulations by additional males. The social network is highly non-random nor regular: few males almost monopolize repro- duction, behaving as key-players in the network of matings. Additionally, males have a stable pattern of sexual behaviour over time. We use RPW social network as a case study to direct the development of management techniques such as SIT strategy [Current Zoology 61 (1): 85-97, 2015].展开更多
