Methods: A model of rat with severe hemorrhagic shock was established in 18 Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats. The rats were randomly divided into Sham group, HTS group (hypertonic saline resuscitation group) and NS group (normal saline resuscitation group). Each group contained 6 rats. The CD4+ and CD8+ subpopulations of T-lymphocytes in peripheral blood were detected respectively before shock and after resuscitation by double antibody labelling and flow cytometry. Results: In the early stage after hemorrhagic shock, fluid resuscitation and emergency treatment, the CD4+ lymphocytes of peripheral blood in HTS and NS groups markedly increased. Small volume resuscitation with HTS also induced peripheral CD8+ lymphocytes to a certain extent, whereas NS resuscitation showed no effect in this respect. Consequently, compared with Sham and HTS groups, CD4+/CD8+ ratio of peripheral blood in NS group was obviously increased, and showed statistically differences. Conclusion: In this model of rat with severe hemorrhagic shock, small volume resuscitation with HTS is more effective than NS in reducing immunologic disorders and promoting a more balanced profile of T-lymphocyte subpopula- tions regulating network.展开更多

The dogs were resuscitated with saline of different concentrations and different dosages under different infusion rates, and the resuscitation results were compared. Results: The best concentration was 7.5 %, the best rate of infusion 20 ml/min (a volume equivalent to 15% of the shed blood) and the best dosage 5.71 ml/kg. The method was effective for resuscitation, the mean arterial pressure (MAP) could be elevated to 89% of the baseline, and this MAP could be kept for more than one hour. Conclusions: Using 7.5 % sodium chloride solution equivalent to 15% of the shed blood at an infusion rate of 20 ml/min can achieve a best resuscitation result.展开更多

Then, a process of stall cell evolution in a subsonic stage is discussed based on a 2-D CFD. A few numbers of vortices grow ahead of the rotor accumulating vorticity ejected from lightly stalled blades, and eventually organize a cell of circumferentially aligned huge vortices, which merge and recess repeatedly during the rotation. Such stall disturbance is intensified on trailing side of a circumferential inlet distortion and decays on the leading side. Considering these features, a new algorithm for stall warning is developed based on a correlation between pressure waveforms at each passing of a fixed blade. A remarkable change in the correlation level at near-stall provides a warning signal prior to the stall onset with sufficiently large time margin. This scheme is applied to achieve rotating stall prevention by actuating flaps installed on the hub. The last issue is on characteristics of forward swept blade which has much increased throttle margin with decreased tip loss. A 3-D computation shows that a secondary vortex generated in suction surface mid span interacts to reduce the tip leakage vortex that initiates the stall.展开更多

The experiment was arranged in a completely randomized design with 3 replications. Five treatments of soil amendments used were cassava stem base biochar (CSB), rice husk biochar (RHB), chicken manure (CM), compost (CP), and no amendment application (control). The RHB treatment released the highest amounts of mineralized NO^-N, available P and K (2.30-17.26, 5.50-42.90 and 43.00-187.63 mg kg-1, respectively) while the CM treatment releasing the highest NH4+-N in the range of 1.86-53.67 mg kg-1. The CSB and RHB treatments showed better continuity of mineralization of nutrients than the treatments of CM and CP, particularly in the case of the CSB treatment. In the soil column incubation experiment, the amounts of NH4+-N and NO3-N in all treatments barely changed on Day 1 to Day 30 of incubation and then the amounts increased markedly on Day 60. On Day 601 the RHB treatment contained a very high amount of NO3--N (〉 250 mg kg-1). This suggests that N would become more available 30 d after the incorporation. The CM treatment gave the highest amounts of organic matter and available P in the ranges of 4.64-8.94 g kg-1 and 14.41-36.33 mg kg-1, respectively, during the 60-d column incubation. The CSB treatment tended to have higher available K throughout the measuring period. The NO3--N was leached from the soil column quite quickly on Day 1 of incubation while the loss of NH^-N decreased slightly from Day 1 until the end of the measurement. The amounts of P and K losses varied with the type of soil amendments, and the pattern of the loss was irregular.展开更多
