This paper studies the drying characteristic of medical pill in microwave-convective drying process. The influential parameters of pill drying characteristics including pill size, quality, air velocity, temperature and the input power of microwave, are experimentally investigated. Results show that the drying process is influenced by the intrinsic heat of microwave power, and the environment and the resistance of mass transfer. It has the advantage of the microwave-convective drying in saving energy, reducing labor intensity and sterilizing. The method with the high efficiency is suitable for pharmacy industry.展开更多

While all of the control loops are working together, they interfere and influence each other. A multivariable decoupling PID controller is designed for VAV air-conditioning system. Diagonal matrix decoupling method is employed to eliminate the coupling between the loop of supply air temperature and that of thermal-space air temperature. The PID controller parameters are optimized by means of an improved genetic algorithm in floating point representations to obtain better performance. The population in the improved genetic algorithm mutates before crossover, which is helpful for the convergence. Additionally the micro mutation algorithm is proposed and applied to improve the convergence during the later evolution. To search the best parameters, the optimized parameters ranges should be amplified 10 times the initial ideal parameters. The simulation and experiment results show that the decoupling control system is effective and feasible. The method can overcome the strong coupling feature of the system and has shorter governing time and less over-shoot than non-optimization PID control.展开更多

Methods: Ninety patients with spastic hemiplegia after ischemic cerebral stroke were randomized into a rehabilitation group, a warm joint needling group and an observation group, with 30 cases in each group. The rehabilitation group was intervened by Bobath therapy, the warm joint needling group was treated with joint needling on the affected side plus warm needling, and the observation group was given the same rehabilitation treatment as the rehabilitation group together with the same warm joint needling as the warm joint needling group. The three groups were treated once another day, 1 month as a treatment course for 6 months. Before the treatment, and respectively after 2-week, 1-month, 3-month, and 6-month treatment, the modified Ashworth scale (MAS) was used to measure the anti-spasm ability of the lower limb, the Berg balance scale (BBS) was adopted to evaluate the balance function, and the stroke-specific quality of life scale (SS-QOL) was employed to estimate the QOL. Results: After 3-month and 6-month treatment, the lower-limb MAS scores in the observation group were significantly better than those in the rehabilitation group and the warm joint needling group (all P〈0.05). After 1-month, B-month and 6-month treatment, the BBS scores in the observation group were significantly better than those in the rehabilitation group and the warm joint needling group (all P〈0.05). After 2-week, 1-month, 3-month and 6-month treatment, the SS-QOL scores in the observation group were markedly better than those in the rehabilitation group and the warm joint needling group (all P〈0.05). Conclusion: Warm joint needling plus rehabilitation can effectively improve the lower-limb spasticity state, balance function and QOL in patients with spastic hemiplegia after ischemic cerebral stroke.展开更多

Methods: Sixty RA patients were randomized into two groups by the random number table, 30 in each group. The observation group was intervened by warm needling moxibustion at the points from the Governor Vessel on the back and Jiaji (EX-B 2) points, while the control group was by regular acupuncture. Results: After intervention, the morning stiffness, joint pain index, joint swelling index and erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) were significantly improved in both groups (P〈0.01); the inter-group difference was also statistically significant (P〈0.05). The total effective rate was 93.3% in the observation group versus 76.6% in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P〈0.01). Conclusion: Warm needling moxibustion at points from the Governor Vessel on the back and Jiaji (EX-B 2) points can produce a higher efficacy than regular acupuncture in treating RA.展开更多

Methods: Patients with rheumatoid were treated with warming needling on the major acupoints of Guanyuan(CV 4), Qihai(CV 6), Zusanli(ST 36), Ganshu(BL 18), Shenshu(BL 23) and Pishu(BL 20), in combination with local acupoints and acupoints on the related meridians, meanwhile, other patients were treated with single needling as control. The patients' joint pain, tenderness, swelling, dysfunction index, gripping force, morning stiffness, walking time of 20 meters, rheumatoid factor, erythrocyte sedimentation rate, C response protein, IgG, IgA, and IgM were measured before and after treatments. Results: Warm needling could improve the rheumatoid arthritis patients' symptoms, and had an effective rate of 86.2%, while the single needling had an effective rate of 57.1%(P〈0.01). And the therapeutic effects were related to the disease duration and condition. Conclusion: Warm needling has a better clinical effects on rheumatoid arthritis than the single needling, with obvious functions of anti-inflammation, relieving pain and regulating immunity.展开更多
