The Crassostrea hongkongensis ubiquitin gene (designated ChUbL40) was cloned by a combination of suppressive subtractive hybridization (SSH) and rapid amplification of cDNA ends (RACE). The full-length cDNA of ChUbL40 is 496 bp in length, consisting of a 5' untranslated region (UTR) of 34 bp, a 3'-UTR of 75 bp and an open reading frame of 387 bp encoding a ubiquitin fusion protein of 128 amino acids. Analysis of the amino acid sequence of ChUbL40 reveals that UbL40 is highly conservative during evolution. The expression patterns of ChUbL40 gene in various tissues were examined by real-time PCR. The expression level of ChUbL40 in haemocytes is down-regulated at 4 h and gradually returned to its original level from 6 h to 24 h after Vibrio alginolyticus challenge. Our results suggest that ChUbL40 is ubiquitously expressed and plays an important role in immune defense against bacterial challenge.展开更多

In this paper, the application and development of GIS to port facilities is studied. The main idea to understand the system design, the frame structure and its technical structure; and to demonstrate facilities information data processing& management and system function by connection with development instance. The construction of the system will enable the port facilities GIS become daily management tools and play an important role to improve efficiency, and promote the intelligent and convenient managemen^t of port facilities.展开更多

This study proposes a transfer forecasting model guided by discrete particle swarm optimization algorithm (TF-DPSO). It firstly transfers some related time series in source domain to assist in modeling the target time series by transfer learning technique, and then constructs the forecasting model by a pattern matching method called analog complexing. Finally, the discrete particle swarm optimization algorithm is introduced to find the optimal match between the two important parameters in TF-DPSO. The container throughput time series of two im portant ports in China, Shanghai Port and Ningbo Port are used for empirical analysis, and the results show the effectiveness of the proposed model.展开更多

Little is known of its epidemiology and environmental distribution, but the inclusion of its 16S rRNA gene sequence in GenBank has allowed it to be detected qualitatively. As a first approach for prospective surveys, a real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) procedure to identify C. hongkongensis has been developed. The presence of Catabacteriaceae in 29 water bodies subjected to possible human or animal impact has been investigated. Four of them were positive. The results confirm that highly polluted water can contain C hongkongensis.展开更多
