However, due to the complicated multi-parameter relationships and their comprehensive influence, the selection of ...The selection of refracturing candidate is one of the most important jobs faced by oilfield engineers. However, due to the complicated multi-parameter relationships and their comprehensive influence, the selection of refracturing candidate is often very difficult. In this paper, a novel approach combining data analysis techniques and fuzzy clustering was proposed to select refracturing candidate. First, the analysis techniques were used to quantitatively calculate the weight coefficient and determine the key factors. Then, the idealized refracturing well was established by considering the main factors. Fuzzy clustering was applied to evaluate refracturing potential. Finally, reservoirs numerical simulation was used to further evaluate reservoirs energy and material basis of the optimum refracturing candidates. The hybrid method has been successfully applied to a tight oil reservoir in China. The average steady production was 15.8 t/d after refracturing treatment, increasing significantly compared with previous status. The research results can guide the development of tight oil and gas reservoirs effectively.展开更多

Local minimum is a most intractable but is an encountered frequently problem in potential field based robot navigation.Through appointing appropriately some virtual local targets on the journey, it can be solved effectively. The key concept employed in this algorithm are the rules that govern when and how to appoint these virtual local targets. When the robot finds itself in danger of local minimum, a virtual local target is appointed to replace the global goal temporarily according to the rules. After the virtual target is reached, the robot continues on its journey by heading towards the global goal. The algorithm prevents the robot from running into local minima anymore. Simulation results showed that it is very effective in complex obstacle environments.展开更多
Allelopathy was defined in 1996 by IAS (international allelopathy society) as any process involving secondary metabolites produced by plant, algae, bacteria and fungi that influences the growth and development of ag...Allelopathy was defined in 1996 by IAS (international allelopathy society) as any process involving secondary metabolites produced by plant, algae, bacteria and fungi that influences the growth and development of agricultural and biological systems. Rice allelopathy against weeds was reported since 1989, which offers an integrated weed management with substantially reduced herbicide usage. Application of allelopathic rice cultivars is thought a resources conservation and environmental friendly way of weed bio-control, and could promote the sustainable development of agriculture. Screening or evaluating the allelopathic potential rice variety is the first step. In this paper, a new bioassay method was set up by the allelopathic potential of 9 rice lines on the target weed barnyardgrass (Echinochloa crusgalli), and comparing with bioassay methods such as relay seeding in filter paper (RSF) and relay seeding in agar (RSA). The results indicated that three methods had a same tendency in evaluating the allelopathic potential of rice; there existed a significant difference among different bioassay methods, and an interaction between bioassay methods and rice lines. The method of root exudates (RE) with the highest value and a correlation efficiency of 0.98 was considered as ideal bioassay method for evaluation of allelopathic potential.展开更多

Distillation is one of many processes available for water purification, and solar energy is one of several forms of heat energy that can be used to energize this process. In this review a study is made to enhance the productivity of the solar stills by connecting solar still with latent heat storage and solar air heater in series and other factors like improving evaporation rate by maintaining Low depth, more exposure area, heat addition by solar collector and presence of latent heat storage material, which is a paraffin wax as a integral part of still. Latent heat storage is one of the most efficient ways of storing thermal energy. Unlike the sensible heat storage method, the latent heat storage method provides much higher storage density, with a smaller temperature difference between storing and releasing heat. The method uses the actual data about reservoirs in a coalbed gas field in central China to optimize wellsite locations in the studied area in combination with the dynamic data about actual production in the coalbed gas field, selects a favorable subarea for gas wells deployment. The method is established based on the basic properties of coal reservoirs, in combination with the coalbed thickness and the gas content to make an analysis of the gas storage potential of a coal reservoir, as well as resources volume and the permeability of a coal reservoir. This method can be popularized for optimization of wellsite locations in other methane gas development areas or blocks.展开更多
To obtain the phase transformation latent heat corresponding to different cooling rates with low test workload and cost,the Newton thermal analysis method and the improved Newtonian thermal analysis method were discus...To obtain the phase transformation latent heat corresponding to different cooling rates with low test workload and cost,the Newton thermal analysis method and the improved Newtonian thermal analysis method were discussed based on the cooling curve obtained in the end-quench test.The validity of two methods was given by the latent heat calculation of 45^(#) steel.The results show that the relative error of latent heat is 5.20%through the improved Newtonian thermal analysis method,which is more accurate than the Newtonian thermal analysis method.Furthermore,the latent heat release of phase transformation of the self-designed CSU-A1 powder metallurgy nickel-based superalloy increases from 4.3 to 12.29 J/g when the cooling rate decreases from 50.15 to 33.40℃/min,because there is more sufficient time for the alloy microstructure to complete the phase transformation process when the cooling rate is smaller.展开更多

This paper intends to explore the theoretical rationales for English proverbs and quotations to be a valuable tool for inspiring teachers and textbooks in Chinese EFL teaching. Based on QIN and WEN's conceptual model of motivation (2002) as well as teacher-specific and group-specific motivational theories, it analyzes the potential uses of English proverbs and quotations, with the conclusion that many English proverbs and quotations may serve to be an impetus as well as affective/cognitive mediators in the pre-actional and actional stages of learning, and may help to promote teacher-specific and group-specific motivational dynamics, which in turn benefit student achievement.展开更多
