High Accuracy Calculation for Excited-State Energies of H Atoms in a Magnetic Field 被引量:3

Using the recently developed finite-basis-set method with B splines, excited states of H atoms in a magnetic field have been calculated. Energy levels are presented for the ten excited states, 2so, 3d'0, 3po, 3p-1, 3... Using the recently developed finite-basis-set method with B splines, excited states of H atoms in a magnetic field have been calculated. Energy levels are presented for the ten excited states, 2so, 3d'0, 3po, 3p-1, 3d_1, 4d-1, 3d-2, 4d-2, 4f-2 , and 5f-2 as a function of magnetic field strengths with a range from zero up to 2.35 × 10^6 T. The obtained results are compared with available high accuracy theoretical data reported in the literature and found to be in excellent agreement. The comparison also shows that the current method can produce energy levels with an accuracy higher than the existing high accuracy method [Phys. Rev. A 54 (1996) 287]. Here high accuracy energy levels are for the first time reported for the 3d'0, 4d-1, 4d-2, 4f-2, and 5f-2 states. 展开更多

Ions produced fro... Resonance-enhanced multiphoton ionization of the titanium atoms has been investigated in the 293 321 nm wavelength. We couple a laser-ablated metal target into a molecular beam to produce free atoms. Ions produced from photoionization of the neutral atoms are monitored by a home-built time-of-flight mass spectrometer. Photoionization cross sections of the excited states of Ti I were deduced from the dependence of the ion signal intensity on the laser intensity for photon energies close to the ionization threshold. The values obtained range from 0.2 Mb to 6.0 Mb. No significant isotope-dependence was found from measurements of the photoionization cross sections of ^46Ti, ^47Ti, and ^48Ti. 展开更多

Relativistic mean-field theory and phase-shift analysis are combined together to investigate the elasticCoulomb scattering between electrons and unstable nuclei.Electron scattering at several different energies is studiedand compared,in order to see the energy dependence of electron-nucleus scattering.It is shown that electron scattering at200 MeV or 300 MeV can be used to reveal electron-nucleus scattering information around the first diffraction minimum-Shiftsin opposite directions are obtained for the first diffraction minima of the electron scattering off the ground andfirst excited states of ^(17)F with ^(16)O as reference,and similar effects are obtained for ^(18)Ne.Besides,some neutron-richN = 8 isotones are also studied.Results show that electron scattering will be very useful and important in studyingboth proton- and neutron-rich nuclei in the future. 展开更多

Objective To analyze the clinical effects after one year follow-up of LASIK for myopia. Methods According to the preoperative diopters of the myopia, patients, undergoing LASIK, were divided into three groups, group Ⅰ: 140 eyes ( -1. 25D ~ -6. 00 D) , group Ⅱ : 205 eyes ( -6. 25D ~ -10. 00D) , group Ⅲ: 226 eyes ( -10.25D- -15.00D). The patients were followed up at least I year. Results By groups, the percentage of the uncorrected visual acuity equal or more than 1. 0 were 94. 29% , 80. 30% , 42. 04% respectively. The residual refractive error within 0. 5D were 99. 29% , 85. 71% , 59. 70%. The spherical equivalent was stable 3 months after LASIK. The complications were few. Conclusion LASIK is a safe, effective and good predictable method for the treatment of myopia. It is one of the best choices to treat myopia below -10. 00D. 展开更多

The spontaneous emission of an excited atom embedded in photonic crystals with two atomic position-dependent bands is investigated.The distribution of the density of states between two bands depends on the atomic position in a unit cell of the photonic crystal and is described with an atomic position-dependent parameter.The result shows that the emitted field and the time evolution of the upper-level population are affected by the atomic position and the gap width.The spontaneous emission spectrum in free space can be shifted and narrowed with the photonic reservoir and the gap width. 展开更多

A recently developed B-spline algorithm is extended and utilized to calculate excited states of He atoms in the presence of strong magnetic fields.Binding energies are presented for He in the five excited atomic states 210-+,110-,210-,11(-1)+,and 2 1(1) + with magnetic field strength ranging from 0.0001 to 10 a.u.The obtained energies are compared with available theoretical data,and found to be in good agreement.We investigate influence of magnetic fields on atomic structures of multielectron atoms,and illustrate that how electron probability density distributions change with increasing magnetic field strength.The current approach is directly applicable to simulations of discrete spectra for He atoms in the atmospheres of magnetized white dwarf stars. 展开更多

The odd-parity high-lying states of the Sm atom are investigated systematically by a three-color resonant excitation scheme with two different excitation paths.The two intermediate states,4f 6 6s7s 7 F 0 and 4f 6 6s7s 7 F 1 are employed for paths I and II,respectively.Fifty-seven bound states are detected with paths I and II in the energy range between 44188 and 45515 cm 1,while 64 autoionizing states are found in the energy range from 45528 to 45761 cm 1.Not only the level energies of all observed states,but also the line widths of autoionizing states are determined.The possible impact of configuration interaction on the line shape of autoionizing states is also discussed.In addition,the total angular momentum is assigned uniquely to most of the states,whereas the information about the relative line intensity of all states is also presented. 展开更多
