A series of carboxylated long chain polyethylene glycols(abbreviated as PEGCOOH) has been synthesized and used to support chloroplatinic acid.These supported catalysts were then tested for their efficiency in the hydr...A series of carboxylated long chain polyethylene glycols(abbreviated as PEGCOOH) has been synthesized and used to support chloroplatinic acid.These supported catalysts were then tested for their efficiency in the hydrosilylation of alkenes.The factors affecting their catalytic properties,e.g.relative molecular mass of polyethylene glycol,reaction temperature,platinum content,and type of alkenes,have been studied.It was found that the activity of the platinum catalyst decreased with increasing length of the polyethylene glycol chain,and increased with reaction temperature.Moreover,these catalysts could be reused several times without a noticeable decrease in activity or selectivity.The reaction pathway leading to excellent selectivity for the β-adduct of hydrosilylation of alkenes with triethoxysilane catalyzed by this catalysis system was discussed.展开更多
The least squares support vector regression (LS-SVR) is usually used for the modeling of single output system, but it is not well suitable for the actual multi-input-multi-output system. The paper aims at the modeling...The least squares support vector regression (LS-SVR) is usually used for the modeling of single output system, but it is not well suitable for the actual multi-input-multi-output system. The paper aims at the modeling of multi-output systems by LS-SVR. The multi-output LS-SVR is derived in detail. To avoid the inversion of large matrix, the recursive algorithm of the parameters is given, which makes the online algorithm of LS-SVR practical. Since the computing time increases with the number of training samples, the sparseness is studied based on the pro-jection of online LS-SVR. The residual of projection less than a threshold is omitted, so that a lot of samples are kept out of the training set and the sparseness is obtained. The standard LS-SVR, nonsparse online LS-SVR and sparse online LS-SVR with different threshold are used for modeling the isomerization of C8 aromatics. The root-mean-square-error (RMSE), number of support vectors and running time of three algorithms are compared and the result indicates that the performance of sparse online LS-SVR is more favorable.展开更多

With an increasing demand for olefins, the technologies for alkane dehydrogenation have drawn much attention. Several types of heterogeneous catalysts have found applications in industry for the dehydrogenation of light alkanes, mainly ethane, propane, and butane. In the past three decades, a number of transition-metal complexes,particularly pincer-ligated iridium complexes, have been developed as the homogeneous catalysts for alkane dehydrogenations. The homogeneous catalyst systems operate under much milder conditions compared with the heterogeneous systems, and some systems exhibit good activity and high regioselectivity in dehydrogenation of alkanes longer than butane.展开更多
