The key point of TDHCF is to enhance heat transfer by the fluid thermal driving in closed loop small channels placed in the high centrifugal field. Heat transfer characteristics of the new cooling technique are analyzed. In experiments, two different fluids (liquid water and Freon R12) are used as thermal driving media (fluid inside the loop channel). And the channel width d is 1 mm and the height h is 30 mm. The temperature is measured by thermocouples and an average heat transfer coefficient KH is defined to indicate heat transfer capacity of TDHCF. Experimental results show that KH is enhanced when heat flux and the rotating speed increase. And thermal properties of thermal driving media are also influenced by KH. Larger KH can be achieved by using Freon R12 as thermal driving medium compared with using liquid water. It can increase to 2 300 W/(m^2 · K) and it is much higher than that of the normal air cooling method (usually at the level of 600-1200 W/(m^2·K)). All fundamental studies of TDHCF show that there actually exists thermal driving in the closed loop small channel in the centrifugal field to improve heat transfer characteristics.展开更多

METHODS: Eighty patients with CHD and 160 controls were employed. We also compared the levels of anti- heat-shock protein 60 (Hsp60) antibodies in the two groups. The H pylori infection and the CagA status were determined serologically, using commercially available enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA), and a Western blotting method developed in our laboratory. Systemic antibodies to Hsp60 were determined by a sandwich ELISA, using a polyclonal antibody to Hsp60 to sensitise polystyrene plates and a commercially available human Hsp60 as an antigen. RESULTS: The overall prevalence of H pylori infec- tion was 78.7% (n = 63) in patients and 76.2% (n = 122) in controls (P = 0.07). Patients infected by CagA- positive (CagA+) H pylori strains were 71.4% (n = 45) vs 52.4% of infected controls (P = 0.030, OR = 2.27). Sys-temic levels of IgG to Hsp60 were increased in H pylori- negative patients compared with uninfected controls (P < 0.001) and CagA-positive infected patients compared with CagA-positive infected controls (P = 0.007). CONCLUSION: CagA positive H pylori infection may concur to the development of CHD; high levels of anti- Hsp60 antibodies may constitute a marker and/or a con- comitant pathogenic factor of the disease.展开更多

Large amounts of seeds as experimental materials ( 10 kg for each material) were respectively dried to the suitable water content consistent with the ultra-dried seed criterion via heating at 50 ~C; then the physiological indices of these ultra-dried seeds such as water content, seed germination, dehydrogenase activity and SOD activity were measured. The results showed that except cowpea seeds, whose ultra-drying treatment should be controlled between two and four days, other three kinds of seeds were tolerant to high tem- perature and low water content. The ultra-dried seeds assumed similar or even higher activities than CKs, but showed no damage symptom. Our result proves that ultra-drying treatment via heating at 50 ℃ is safe and efficient to experimental seeds.展开更多

Their heat transfer performance is af- fected by many factors, and the form of the relationship between the performance and the factors is complex and non-linear. In this paper, the effects of charging ratio, inclination angle, and heat input and their interaction effects on heat transfer performance of a looped copper-water OHP are analyzed. First, suppose that the relationship between the response and the variables approximates a second-order model. And use the central composite design to arrange the ex- periment. Then, the method of least squares is used to estimate the parameters in the second-order model. Finally, multi- variate variance analysis is used to analyze the model. The results show that the assumption is right, that is to say, the re- lationship is well modeled by a second-order function. Among the three main effect variables, the effect of inclination angle is the most significant, but their interaction effects are not significant. In the range of the considered factors, both the optimum charging ratio and the optimum inclination angle increase as the heating water flow rate increases.展开更多

Monthly rainfall heights recorded in 43 weather stations from 1964 to 2000 is carried out. This study suggests a sudivision in three climatic zones which are: the littoral zone that borders the tropical Atlantic, the center zone that is located in the central region of both countries, and the northern zone whose seasonal cycle is close to that of the Sahel of West Africa. The study of the interannual variability of the rainfall shows some patterns which are differently influenced by sea surface temperature. Such work could be useful for agricultural activities and to better quantify the role of the vegetation dynamics.展开更多

Methods-The expression levels of constitutive aBC in HSF1 knockout (hsf1 - /- ) and HSFl wild type (As/1 + /+) mice myocardium were evaluated by western blot and immunohistochemistry. Results : The αBC levels in hsfl -/- and hsfl +/+ were 68. 42±4. 16, 100. 00±7. 58, respectively (P<0. 05, cytoso-lic fraction) , and 20. 53±1. 01, 37. 55±1. 91, respectively (P<0. 05, pellet fraction). The aBC signals decreased significantly in hsfl -/- myocardium when compared with those in hsfl +/+ myocardium stained with fluorescence immunohistochemistry. Conclusion-HSF1 is an important, but not the only factor, which mediates the constitutively expressed aBC.展开更多
