The workpieces of A357 alloy were routinely heat treated to the T6 state in order to gain an adequate mechanical property.The mechanical properties of these workpieces depend mainly on solid-solution temperature,solid-solution time,artificial aging temperature and artificial aging time.An artificial neural network(ANN) model with a back-propagation(BP) algorithm was used to predict mechanical properties of A357 alloy,and the effects of heat treatment processes on mechanical behavior of this alloy were studied.The results show that this BP model is able to predict the mechanical properties with a high accuracy.This model was used to reflect the influence of heat treatments on the mechanical properties of A357 alloy.Isograms of ultimate tensile strength and elongation were drawn in the same picture,which are very helpful to understand the relationship among aging parameters,ultimate tensile strength and elongation. 展开更多

Thermogravimetric analysis and electrical resistivity were used to determine the hydration process of cement paste with rice husk ash(RHA)(0−15%)and water-cement ratio of 0.4 in this work.X-ray diffraction(XRD)method and scanning electron microscopy(SEM)were used to survey crystal composition and microstructures of specimens cured for 3 h,1 d,7 d and 28 d.Finally,electrical parameters(electrical resistance and AC impedance spectroscopy)of steel bars reinforced cement paste were investigated to study the effect of RHA on the corrosion resistance.Results showed that RHA could affect the cement hydration by hydration promotion and pozzolanic effect.The evaluation function for electrical resistivity and curing ages fitted well with linear increasing function.The addition of RHA higher than 5%demonstrated a decreasing role in the electrical resistivity of cement paste at earlier curing ages(3−7 d).Meanwhile,when at later curing ages(7−28 d)the result was the opposite.Moreover,RHA demonstrated positive effects on corrosion resistance of steel bars in cement paste. 展开更多

The influences of hot stamping parameters such as heating temperature,soaking time,deformation temperature and cooling medium on the phase transformation,microstructure and mechanical properties of 30MnB5 and 22MnB5 are investigated and analyzed in this work.The quenching experiment,tensile testing,hardness measurement and microstructure observation were conducted to obtain the mechanical and microstructural data.The results indicate that 30MnB5 possesses a higher tensile strength but a lower elongation than 22MnB5,if hot stamped at the same process parameter.The tensile strength and hardness of the hot stamped specimens decrease under inappropriate heating conditions for two reasons,insufficient austenitization or coarse austenite grains.The austenitic forming rate of 30MnB5 is higher than that of 22MnB5,because more cementite leads to higher nucleation rate and diffusion coefficient of carbon atom.More amount of fine martensite forms under the higher deformation temperature or the quicker cooling rate. 展开更多

One way of improving the accuracy of a cubic EOS is through the modification of temperature-dependent energy parameter by using alpha-function.The industrial applications of natural gas are very wide and as a result, prediction of thermodynamic properties and phase behavior of natural gas is an important part of design for such processes. In this work we develop a newα-function for the Peng-Robinson(PR) EOS with the parameters optimized especially for natural gas components.The parameters are generalized as a linear function of acentric factor. The results are compared to the predictions from original PR EOS and other α-functions in literature. It is shown that the new α-function presents a good accuracy with the average deviation of 1.42% for natural gas components. 展开更多

The adsorption capability of D318 resin for Cr(Ⅵ) was investigated by chemistry analysis. Experimental results show that D318 resin has the best adsorption ability for Cr(Ⅵ) at pH=3.16 in HAc-NaAc medium. The statically saturated adsorption capacity of the resin is 265.4 mg/g. The thermodynamic adsorption parameters, enthalpy change AH and free energy change AG298 of the adsorption reaction are 4.81 and -5.16 kJ/mol, respectively. The apparent activation energy Ea is 22.4 kJ/mol. The adsorption behavior obeys the Freundlich isotherm. The molar coordination ratio of the functional group of resin to Cr(Ⅵ) is 3:2. Cr(Ⅵ) adsorbed on D318 resin can be eluted by 5%NaOH-5%NaCl quantitatively. 展开更多

Endothermic hydrocarbon fuel is regarded as an optimal fuel for a scramjet with regenerative cooling,which provides extra cooling through endothermic chemical conversion to avoid the severly limited cooling capacity when conventional fuels are adopted for cooling.Although endothermic cooling is proposed from the view point that the heat sink of a conventional fuel is insufficient,the heat-absorbing through endothermic chemical reaction is actually a chemical recuperation process because the wasted heat dissipated from the engine thermal structure is recovered through the endothermic chemical reaction.Therefore,the working process of a scramjet with endothermic hydrocarbon fuel cooling is a chemical recuperative cycle.To analyze the chemical recuperative cycle of a chemically recuperated scramjet engine,we defined physical and chemical recuperation effectivenesses and heating value increment rate,and derived engine performance parameters with chemical recuperation.The heat value benefits from both physical and chemical recuperations,and it increases with the increase in recuperation effectiveness.The scramjet performance parameters also increase with the increase in chemical recuperation effectiveness.The increase in chemical recuperation effectiveness improves both the performances of the fuel cooling system and the combustion system.The results of analysis prove that the existence of a chemical recuperation process greatly improves the performance of the whole scramjet. 展开更多
