The better combination between strength(ultimate tensile strength: 295 MPa; yield strength: 224 MPa) and ductility(22.9%) can be obtained for the AM50 sheet rolled at the roll temperature of 200 °C with the roll speed of 5 m/min. The yield stress depends strongly on roll temperature, while the texture intensity in rolled sheets is more sensitive to roll speed during hot rolling. Increasing rolling temperature or roll speed can improve the mechanical anisotropy of AM50 rolled sheets.展开更多

Compared with the conventional distillation scheme, C5 foaming agent was directly separated at the top of the original isopentane or pentane column in the novel scheme, instead of first refining the two isomerides to high purities and then mixing them into final products. This improvement reduced the difficulty of the separation and avoided meaningless exergy loss caused by re-mixing, which finally contributed to an energy-efficient design by a big margin. Moreover, the column grand composite curves(CGCCs)were used to modify all distillation columns, indicating that there is potential to improve the energy efficiency further. Therefore, double-effect, or heat-integrated distillation was also adopted. Energy and exergy analyses were then conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed scheme for the purpose of energy saving. The simulation results of the conventional distillation scheme were in agreement with its on-site counterpart. Analyses showed that the novel heat-integrated scheme reduced hot utility by 27.12%,, cold utility by 24.49%,, and total exergy loss by 23.95%,.展开更多

Luzon Strait Transport (LST) is measured and used as an index for studying the SCSTF variation. Results show that LST had an increasing tendency over the last 50 years, mainly in summer and fall. The increasing tendency was 0.017 1 Sv/a in summer and 0.027 4 Sv/a in fall, as estimated by SODA, and 0.018 0Sv/a in summer and 0.018 9 Sv/a in fall, as estimated by "Island Rule" theory. LST increased by 0.53Sv in JJA (June-July-August) and 0.98Sv in SON (September-October-November) after climate shift, as inferred by SODA data. The average LST anomaly in JJA and SON is strongly related to the local monsoon system, especially to variability of the meridional wind stress anomaly after application of a 3-year running mean, with correlation coefficients 0.57 and 0.51, respectively. In addition to the basin-scale wind forcing, the local northeasterly wind stress anomaly in the SCS can push Pacific water entering the SCS more readily in JJA and SON after climate shift, and an SCSTF-associated cooling effect may favor subsurface cooling more frequently after climate shift.展开更多

This paper presents a solar thermal molecule model of a photo-isomerizable azobenzene(Azo) molecule covalently bound to graphene. The storage capacity of the Azo depending on isomerization enthalpy(ΔH) is calculated based on density functional theory. The result indicates that the ΔH of Azo molecules on the graphene can be tuned by electronic interaction, steric hindrance and molecular hydrogen bonds(H-bonds). Azo with the withdrawing group on the ortho-position of the free benzene shows a relatively high ΔH due to resonance effect. Moreover, the H-bonds on the trans-isomer largely increase ΔH because they stabilize the trans-isomer at a low energy. 2-hydroxy-4-carboxyl-2′,6′,-dimethylamino-Azo/graphene shows the maximum ΔH up to 1.871 e V(107.14 Wh kg^(-1)), which is 125.4% higher than Azo without functional groups. The Azo/graphene model can be used for developing high-density solar thermal storage materials by controlling molecular interaction.展开更多

The microstructure and crystal structure of the QDs, which were confirmed by TEM and XRD, showed that partial cation exchange occurred inside the CdSe QDs. Two main mechanisms are responsible for the excellent photothermal conversion: inhibition of radiative recombination of carriers due to the formation of type-II semiconductor heterostructures, and the large surface-to-volume ratio of the QDs. Photothermal conversion experiments indicated that the CdSe/Bi2Se3 QDs showed high photothermal conversion efficiency and excellent NIR photostability.展开更多
