The combustion and explosion characteristics of lithium-ion battery vent gas is a key factor in determining the fire hazard of lithium-ion batteries.Investigating the combustion and explosion hazards of lithium-ion batteries vent gas can provide guidance for rescue and protection in explosion accidents in energy storage stations and new energy vehicles,thereby promoting the application and development of lithium-ion batteries.Based on this understanding and combined with previous research on gas production from lithium-ion batteries,this article conducted a study on the combustion and explosion risks of vent gas from thermal runaway of 18650 LFP batteries with different states of charge(SOCs).The explosion limit of mixed gases affected by carbon dioxide inert gas is calculated through the“elimination”method,and the Chemkin-Pro software is used to numerically simulate the laminar flame speed and adiabatic flame temperature of the battery vent gas.And the concentration of free radicals and sensitivity coefficients of major elementary reactions in the system are analyzed to comprehensively evaluate the combustion explosion hazard of battery vent gas.The study found that the 100%SOC battery has the lowest explosion limit of the vent gas.The inhibitory elementary reaction sensitivity coefficient in the reaction system is lower and the concentration of free radicals is higher.Therefore,it has the maximum laminar flame speed and adiabatic flame temperature.The combustion and explosion hazard of battery vent gas increases with the increase of SOC,and the risk of explosion is the greatest and most harmful when SOC reaches 100%.However,the related hazards decrease to varying degrees with overcharging of the battery.This article provides a feasible method for analyzing the combustion mechanism of vent gas from lithium-ion batteries,revealing the impact of SOC on the hazardousness of battery vent gas.It provides references for the safety of storage and transportation of lithium-ion batteries,safety protection of energy storage stations,and the selection of related fire extinguishing agents. 展开更多

The equivalent stiffness of different directions of the accelerometer is given. From the point of view of energy and mechanics, expressions of some key parameters, such as the damping, sensitivity, resolution of the accelerometer, are derived. The accelerometer noise behavior of mechanical-thermal noise in the open-loop system, along with the dynamic range of the open-loop system and closed-loop system is analyzed. The result is that the noise of the capacitive micro accelerometer is dominated by the magnitude of mechanical-thermal noise. At the same time, the magnitude of mechanical-thermal noise depends on the temperature and magnitude of mechanical damp. The result of the measurement from the implemented closed-loop microo-accelerometer system shows that the resolution is the level of rag, and the measurement range is from -50g to 50g. 展开更多

Thick-film thermistor with negative temperature coefficient(NTC), low room-temperature resistivity and modest thermistor constant was screen-printed on the alumina substrate by the combination of 30.94III0.04II0.02 B OBi Coa Co with Ba0.5Bi0.5Fe0.9Sn0.1O3. The electrical properties of the thick films were characterized by a digital multimeter, a Keithley 2400 and an impedance analyzer. The results show that with the Ba0.5Bi0.5Fe0.9Sn0.1O3 content increasing from 0.05 to 0.25, the values of room-temperature resistivity, thermistor constant and peak voltage of the thick films increases and are in the ranges of 1.47-26.5 ?·cm, 678-1345 K and 18.9-47.0 V, respectively. The corresponding current at the peak voltage of the thick films decreases and is in the range of 40-240 m A. The impedance spectroscopy measurement demonstrates that the as-prepared thick films show the abnormal electrical heterogeneous microstructure, consisting of high-resistive grains and less resistive grain boundary regions. It can be concluded that the addition of Ba0.5Bi0.5Fe0.9Sn0.1O3 into 30.94III0.04II0.02 Ba Co OBi Co improves the thermistor behavior and but also deteriorates the current characteristics. 展开更多

The free-piston engine generator(FPEG)is regarded as the next generation of energy conversion system which may replace traditional engines in the future.The effect of key operational parameters like excess air ratio of input mixture and ignition position on the engine performance of a dual-cylinder FPEG was investigated,and their sensitivity was analyzed in this paper.The operating compression ratio of the system is susceptible to changes in excess air ratio and ignition position.At the same time,it decreases from 15.8 to 6.6 when excess air ratio increases from 0.85 to 1.15,but it increases from 6.1 to 13.3 as ignition position increases from 15 mm to 20 mm.The operating frequency and indicated power are more sensitive to changes in excess air ratio than ignition position.But it is the opposite for the indicated thermal efficiency and friction loss.Excess air ratio and ignition position have a quite similar influence on heat transfer.Therefore,from the perspective of system operation and performance,it is preferable to keep excess air coefficient slightly below 1.0.In contrast,when selecting ignition position,it is of great importance to comprehensively consider the risk of structural damage caused by the increase in the compression ratio and in-cylinder gas pressure. 展开更多

A comparison of sensitivity in extratropical circulation in the Northern Hemisphere (NH) and Southern Hemisphere (SH) is conducted through observational analyses and diagnostic linear model experiments for two types of El Ni(n)o events,the traditional El Ni(n)o with the strongest warmth in the eastern tropical Pacific (EP El Ni(n)o) and the El Ni(n)o Modoki with the strongest warmth in the central tropical Pacific (CP El Ni(n)o).It is shown that CP El Ni(n)o favors the occurrence of a negative-phase Northern Annular Mode (NAM),while EP El Ni(n)o favors that of the Pacific-North American (PNA) pattern.In SH,both EP and CP El Ni(n)o induce a negative phase Southern Annular Mode (SAM).However,the former has a greater amplitude,which is consistent with the stronger sea surface temperature (SST) warmth.The difference in the two types of El Ni(n)o events in NH may originate from the dependence of heating-induced extratropical response on the location of initial heating,which may be associated with activity of the stationary wave.In SH,the lack of sensitivity to the location of heating can be associated with weaker activity of the stationary wave therein. 展开更多

The thermodynamic characterization as well as the rheological characterization of the A201 alloy were conducted.Thermodynamic simulations (CALPHAD method) and calorimetric experiments were performed to determine the solidus and liquidus temperatures, the melting range and the sensitivity of the solid fraction at the thixoforming temperatures.The rheology of aluminium alloy A201 was examined using a high temperature Searle rheometer.The flow behaviour was analyzed with concentric cylinders of graphite to avoid chemical interactions with the liquid or semi-solid aluminium.The rotational body was grooved to prevent a phenomenon called wall slippage.Continuous cooling experiment was used to observe the shear rate effects on the flow behaviour.It can be seen that the viscosity level decreases at higher shear rates.Shear rate jump experiment was carried out to evaluate the steady state flow curve within the analyzed shear rate range from 60 s-1 to 260 s-1.It is found that the power law indexes are-1.35 and-1.49 for 35% and 45% solid fraction, respectively.Finally, some mechanical property data of as-cast and as-thixoformed A201 alloy are included indicating the potential for high strength applications. 展开更多

A low jitter All-Digital Phase-Locked Loop (ADPLL) used as a clock generator is designed. The Digital-Controlled Oscillator (DCO) for this ADPLL is a seven-stage ring oscillator with the delay of each stage changeable. Based on the Impulse Sensitivity Function (ISF) analysis, an effective way is proposed to reduce the ADPLL's jitter by the careful design of the sizes of the inverters used in the DCO with a simple architecture other than a complex one. The ADPLL is implemented in a 0.18μm CMOS process with 1.SV supply voltage, occupies 0.046mm^2 of on-chip area. According to the measured results, the ADPLL can operate from 108MHz to 304MHz, and the peak-to-peak jitter is 139ps when the DCO's output frequency is 188MHz. 展开更多

In this article, the authors used the Weather Research and Forecast model to investigate the sensitivity of tropical cyclone Bilis' total precipitation to ambient water vapor content. The tropical cyclone precipitation decreased dramatically with the reduction of the ambient water vapor content in the atmosphere. The decrease of precipitation can be explained by two mechanisms. First, as the major source of precipitation, moisture conver-gence decreases accordingly with the moisture content. Second, the tropical cyclone (TC) size reduction due to the moisture decrease influences the precipitation area. Both mechanisms were observed in this study. 展开更多

The structural sensitivity to tension decreases with increasing Cu content. The crystallization enthalpy increases with increasing excess free volume. The characteristic temperatures of the tensile samples can surpass those of the as-cast ones under a critical heating rate which differs in the Cu content. The increase of the excess free volume significantly influences the glass transition and crystallization procedures. 展开更多

The influence of thermal stress on the temperature sensitivity of fiber Bragg grating-glass fiber reinforce polymer(FBG-GFRP) bars is studied by three methods,namely,direct experimental calibration method,stress analysis(finite element analysis) method and the method of apparent temperature sensitivity coefficient.In comparison with the other two methods,fewer parameters are required and the calculation is simple in the method of apparent temperature sensitivity coefficient,while the analytical error is limited within 2%.It is concluded that the results of the method of apparent temperature sensitivity coefficient could be good reference for engineering applications. 展开更多

The emerging resistance to schistosoma has been paid much attention and is in urgent need for a novel strategy to control the prevalent parasitic zoonosis. In this study, the efficiency of hyperthermia therapy was investigated by the skin hyperthermia device. The survival rate of cercariae decreased from 68.15 % (37 ℃, 5 min) to 0 (49℃, 10 min) with the thermal dosages increased, which proved the preventing effect of hyperthermia therapy (P 〈 0.05). Therapeutic effects were assessed in Schistosoma japonicum-infected BALB/c mice. When the cercarial contact region of the skin was treated at 45-49℃ for 5 min within 8 h of infection, worm reduction rate (WRR) reached 74 %-83 % (P 〈 0.01). The sensitivity of adult schistosoma to heat was also investigated using microwave intraperitoneal hyperthermia (thermal dosages 42-43℃, 20 min). The WRR, hepatic shift rates and egg reduction rates were 23.7 %, 40 % and 30 %, respectively, comparing with 80.2 %, 59.6 % and 53.9 % of praziquantel (PZQ)-treated group. Encouraging results have been obtained that hyperthermia can effectively kill schistosomula, especially with the appearance of cercarial dermatitis, while PZQ lacks efficacy against the cercariae. Thus, hyperthermia therapy would show significant benefit in preventing and treatment of schistosoma, especially in the early stage. 展开更多

Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of heat-sensitive moxibustion plus medications on senile osteoporosis(SOP),and to explore the related mechanisms.Methods:A total of 70 elderly participants with osteoporosis were randomly divided into an observation group and control group,with 35 cases in each group.The control group was treated with conventional drugs,and the observation group was treated with heat-sensitive moxibustion on the basis of the conventional drugs.Both groups were treated for 3 months.Before and after treatment,assessed the visual analog scale(VAS)and Oswestry disability index(ODI)scores,determined the bone mineral density of the participants'lumbar spine(L2-L4)and left femoral neck,and detected the participants'serum bone morphogenetic protein-2(BMP-2)and osteoprotegerin(OPG)levels.Results:After treatment,the VAS scores of both groups were lower than before treatment(both P<0.05),and the VAS score of the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the bone mineral density values of the lumbar spine and left femoral neck in both groups were significantly higher than before treatment(both P<0.05),and the bone mineral density values of the observation group were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the ODI scores of the two groups were lower than those before treatment(both P<0.05),and the ODI score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the serum BMP-2 and OPG levels in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group(both P<0.05).Conclusion:Heat-sensitive moxibustion plus medications for SOP can significantly relieve patients'pain,improve dysfunction,and increase bone density,which may be related to the improvement of the serum BMP-2 and OPG levels. 展开更多

The sensitivity of simulated tropical intraseasonal oscillations (ISO) to different cumulus parameterization schemes was analyzed using an atmospheric general circulation model (latest version-SAMIL2.2.3) developed at the Laboratory for Numerical Modeling for Atmospheric Sciences and Geophysical Fluid Dynamics (LASG) at the Institute of Atmospheric Physics (IAP) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.Results show that the basic features of tropical climatological intraseasonal oscillations (CISO) can be captured using all three cumulus schemes.The CISO simulated by the Tiedtke scheme was found to be more realistic than that of the Manabe and Zhang-McFarlane schemes.The results of simulated transient intraseasonal oscillations (TISO) indicate that although the Tiedtke and the Zhang-McFarlane schemes in the new version SAMIL2.2.3 have been adjusted according to different problems,only the latter can simulate the eastward propagation of the 27-50-day TISO mode.It may be associated with the more realistic diabatic heating profile simulated by the Zhang-McFarlane scheme.In addition,the Manabe scheme in SAMIL2.2.3 is the same as that in the prior version SAMIL2.08.However,some aspects of the physical process,such as the radiation scheme and aerosol condition,have been changed.Conversely the eastward propagation from 100°E to the west of the tropical 27-50-day TISO mode only can be simulated using the Manabe scheme of SAMIL 2.08.Consequently,not all the improvements of physical parameterization schemes work well in every respect.The coordinated developments between dynamic frame and physical processes,and among different physical processes,are important methods that may be used to improve the model. 展开更多
