The presence of non-gray radiative properties in a reheating furnace’s medium that absorbs,emits,and involves non-gray creates more complex radiative heat transfer problems.Furthermore,it adds difficulty to solving the coupled conduction,convection,and radiation problem,leading to suboptimal efficiency that fails to meet real-time control demands.To overcome this difficulty,comparable gray radiative properties of non-gray media are proposed and estimated by solving an inverse problem.However,the required iteration numbers by using a least-squares method are too many and resulted in a very low inverse efficiency.It is necessary to present an efficient method for the equivalence.The Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm is utilized to solve the inverse problem of coupled heat transfer,and the gray-equivalent radiative characteristics are successfully recovered.It is our intention that the issue of low inverse efficiency,which has been observed when the least-squares method is employed,will be resolved.To enhance the performance of the Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm,a modification is implemented for determining the damping factor.Detailed investigations are also conducted to evaluate its accuracy,stability of convergence,efficiency,and robustness of the algorithm.Subsequently,a comparison is made between the results achieved using each method. 展开更多

The quantitative precipitation forecast(QPF) in very-short range(0-12 hours) has been investigated in this paper by using a convective-scale(3km) GRAPES_Meso model. At first, a latent heat nudging(LHN) scheme to assimilate the hourly intensified surface precipitation data was set up to enhance the initialization of GRAPES_Meso integration. And then based on the LHN scheme, a convective-scale prediction system was built up in considering the initial "triggering"uncertainties by means of multi-scale initial analysis(MSIA), such as the three-dimensional variational data assimilation(3DVAR), the traditional LHN method(VAR0LHN3), the cycling LHN method(CYCLING), the spatial filtering(SS) and the temporal filtering(DFI) LHN methods. Furthermore, the probability matching(PM) method was used to generate the QPF in very-short range by combining the precipitation forecasts of the five runs. The experiments for one month were carried out to validate the MSIA and PM method for QPF in very-short range.The numerical simulation results showed that:(1) in comparison with the control run, the CYCLING run could generate the smaller-scale initial moist increments and was better for reducing the spin-up time and triggering the convection in a very-short time;(2) the DFI runs could generate the initial analysis fields with relatively larger-scale initial increments and trigger the weaker convections at the beginning time(0-3h) of integration, but enhance them at latter time(6-12h);(3) by combining the five runs with different convection triggering features, the PM method could significantly improve the QPF in very-short range in comparison to any single run. Therefore, the QPF with a small size of combining members proposed here is quite prospective in operation for its lower computation cost and better performance. 展开更多

To investigate the principles of differentiation and prescription of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)treatment for cancerous fever by logistic stepwise regression and literature investigation,the following databases were searched(from inception to June 30th 2016):CNKI,CSPD,CBM,PubMed,MEDLINE,EMBASE.According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria,literatures about TCM in the treatment of cancerous fever were screened.The frequency about cancerous fever of differential syndrome types,formulas and herbs were analyzed by logistic multiple regression analysis.The model about syndrome types and formula application of cancerous fever was established.The result showed formula prescriptions used most frequently were Qing-Hao-Bie-Jia decoction,Xiao-Chai-Hu decoction,Xue-Fu-Zhu-Yu decoction,Bai-Hu decoction,San-Ren decoction.The main syndrome types of cancerous fever were as follows:Toxic heat flourishing type,Yin deficiency type,Stagnation of damp-heat type,Qi-Yin deficiency type,Liver meridian depressed-heat type,Blood stasis type and Yang deficiency type.Based on regression equation of the syndrome types,the corresponding herbs of this seven syndrome types were Radix Bupleuri,Radix Paeoniae Alba and Scutellaria Baicalensis Georgi;Radix Bupleuri and Cortex Moutan;Radix Paeoniae Rubra and Radix Angelicae Sinensis;Rhizoma Pinelliae,Cortex Lycii Radicis and Radix Paeoniae Alba;Herba Artemisiae Annuae,Gypsum Fibrosum and Poria Cocos;Rhizoma Anemarrhenae,Scutellaria Baicalensis Georgi and Radix Codonopsis;Radix Bupleuri respectively.The results of Logistic regression analysis and frequency of herbs statistics can provide reference for differentiation and treatment of cancerous fever in clinical. 展开更多

青年女性胸部出汗分布和出汗率的测定

针对目前关于人体出汗的研究均未涉及到女性胸部出汗的细化,从而导致关于女性文胸热湿优化设计并无科学的出汗率数值参考的问题,探究了青年女性胸部出汗分布规律、局部出汗率差异和整体出汗率大小。实验选取15名青年女性受试者,在温度... 针对目前关于人体出汗的研究均未涉及到女性胸部出汗的细化,从而导致关于女性文胸热湿优化设计并无科学的出汗率数值参考的问题,探究了青年女性胸部出汗分布规律、局部出汗率差异和整体出汗率大小。实验选取15名青年女性受试者,在温度为26℃、相对湿度为50%的环境下,采用本文提出的新型“三明治”结构吸汗贴测定胸部整体出汗率,进行代谢率为50~60 W/m2的静坐和系列代谢率为200~250 W/m2的中高强度运动,随后得到胸部出汗分布规律,测定出胸部非显性出汗率、显性出汗率、不同区域出汗率和不同运动阶段出汗率的变化规律。结果表明:显性出汗过程中,乳房中心点(BP点)周围环状区域、胸部边缘环状区域(尤其靠近前中)的出汗率相对较高并较先出汗;静坐状态下胸部非显性出汗率为(0.004 7±0.003 7) mg/(min·cm2),中高强度运动状态下胸部显性出汗率为(0.405 5±0.178) mg/(min·cm2);局部区域显性出汗率中,靠近前中的胸部出汗率最大为1.844 mg/(min·cm2),其次是BP点周围为0.664 mg/(min·cm2),再是胸部上边缘和下边缘。此出汗分布规律可指导文胸罩杯结构优化和通风透气孔分布设计,胸部出汗率可为文胸罩杯材料透湿性能指标的选择和新材料开发提供理论参考,助力企业开发新型透湿性能卓越的文胸产品。 展开更多

Freeze drying and frozen preservation way was used to preserve a moderately thermophilic culture for bioleaching of chalcopyrite concentrate.After preservation of 15 months,the cell viability rate decreases to 22% with a cell density of 7×107 mL-1.When the growth time was extended from 8 days to 14 days,cell density would increase in a large scale to about 3×108 mL-1.In the bioleaching experiments,unpreserved and preserved cultures were compared for dissolving chalcopyrite concentrate.Before 44 days,the unpreserved culture can reach a high copper extraction of about 17.4 g/L.While the preserved culture shows a rather low copper extraction,which is only 9.7 g/L.When the bioleaching time was extended to 80 days,copper extraction by preserved culture increases remarkably,and the concentration of copper finally achieves up to 18.3 g/L.On the other hand,copper extraction by the unpreserved culture does not show remarkable increase from 44th to the 80th day,and finally the total copper extraction is 19.8 g/L.As a result,total copper extraction in 80 days by preserved culture approaches that by unpreserved culture and freeze drying and frozen preservation even after 15 months does not bring much decrease of bioleaching ability. 展开更多

To improve current understanding of the water cycle,energy partitioning and CO2 exchange over hilly zone vegetative land surfaces in the subtropical monsoon environment of southern China,a long-term field experiment observatory was set up at Ningxiang,eastern Hunan Province.This paper presents a preliminary analysis of the field observations at the observatory collected from August to November 2012.Results show that significant diurnal variations in soil temperature occur only in shallow soil layers(0.05,0.10,and 0.20 m),and that heavy rainfall affects soil moisture in the deep layers(≥ 0.40 m).During the experimental period,significant diurnal variations in albedo,radiation components,energy components,and CO2 flux were observed,but little seasonal variation.Strong photosynthesis in the vegetation canopy enhanced the CO2 absorption and the latent heat released in daylight hours;Latent heat of evaporation was the main consumer of available energy in late summer.Because the field experiment data are demonstrably reliable,the observatory will provide reliable long-term measurements for future investigations of the land-atmosphere interaction over hilly land surfaces in the subtropical monsoon region of southern China. 展开更多

In this literature review on TPE (third-person effects) and the behavioral consequences on children, the research questions posed are how the body of knowledge has evolved since the first empirical evidence of TPE among children and what knowledge gaps that remain. The traceable developments are two: (1) Compared to the vast amount of articles on TPE in general, the 5 9 identified on the topic of children are few and two thirds actually focus on adolescents/young adults rather than children. The reason put forward for studying younger children is the urge to prevent risky behavior through media literacy programs or pro-social advertisements; and (2) The studies have not primarily addressed results to support occurrence of TPE among children. Rather they support parental TPE or among the adolescents that TPE and reverse TPE occur due to certain kind of media content. The discussion on knowledge gaps that remain follow three themes: (1) Differentiations between self and others are in psychological studies implied to occur among children between the ages of 3-4 years old, yet no study address how children develop TPE; (2) There is a tendency to follow the more general development within TPE research with the renewed interest in behavioral consequences. But the primary behavioral consequence studied in TPE in general and within studies of TPE and children is support for censorship. Few studies address "real" behavioral consequences like parental mediation; and (3) There is also a need for more theoretically coherent research on the importance of social distance. 展开更多

In Benin, while some aspects of this role are well-documented, others are barely known. Moreover, these information remains so far very scattered through the literature which does not allow to have a global view on the contribution of biodiversity and forests to the life of people. In this work, it is presented the role of forests and biological diversity in the main vital areas of life of populations in south of Benin. The methodology used was based, with regard to the field, on bibliographical research, observation and/or field stakeholder survey. Investigations are more particularly focused on hardwood lumber uses and the species that are significantly used. The results highlight the uses that are made of vegetal elements of biological diversity and timber as forest products in south of Benin. The main areas explored are animist or traditional religion and traditional medicine, as well as socio-cultural and economic life. In this latter area, the most used timber species and their uses are identified; these include furniture, light carpentry, sculpture, formwork, canoe construction, drums and mortar making. 展开更多

The thermodynamic aspect of a compression type heat pump (HP) is briefly described and special attention is given to investigation of condensing temperature influence on heat pump efficiency in heating mode, expressed by its coefficient of performance (COP). Heat pumps are usually applied for the purposes of heating and cooling of energy efficient buildings where they have advantages in low-temperature systems, as it is well documented in the paper. The comparison of real thermodynamic processes with thermodynamically most favorable Camot's process is made. The results in the paper show that COP is diminishing with increasing of condensing temperature and also depends on real properties of working fluids. The impact of compressor efficiency for two real working media is also analyzed in the paper. There is significant diminishing of COP with diminishing of compressor efficiency. The intension of the paper is to help better understanding of this very effective and prosperous technology, and to encourage its development, production, and efficient application. 展开更多

However, the characteristics of UHI in Hong Kong would not be unique were it not for its complex topography and the significant spatial variation in the degree of urbanization within the territory. Making use of the extensive spatial coverage of the automatic weather stations operated by the Observatory, this study attempts to document the spatial variation of the characteristics of UHI effect in Hong Kong in summer and winter through cases studies. Cases in summer and winter with meteorological conditions typical for high UHI effect (that is, clear sky, light wind and stable atmospheric condition) are selected for the study. The characteristics of UHI effect in terms of the daytime warming rates, nocturnal cooling rates and diurnal temperature ranges at the selected automatic weather stations are analysed. The territory of Hong Kong is then classified into different categories according to the identified characteristics with a view to portraying the spatial morphology of UHI effect in Hong Kong. 展开更多

Thermal Response Test for Kelix GHE System

The performance of a BTES (borehole thermal energy storage) system is primarily governed by ground heat flux, soil thermal properties and groundwater conditions. However, the design of the heat exchanger used within the BTES system can also make a significant difference in the efficiency of the system. A thermal response test was carded out for a Kelix GHE (ground heat exchanger) system, the latest innovation in geothermal ground loop construction, on an Ecofarm in the town of Caledon East, Ontario, Canada. In addition, a verifying test was performed for a CEES (conventional earth energy system) located 6 m away from the Kelix GHE. The boreholes for these two different heat exchanger designs were drilled with the same diameter, to the same depth and were located in the same/identical geo-hydrological conditions. The response test provided the effective average of undisturbed ground temperature, geothermal properties including thermal conductivity, heat capacity and thermal resistance between the fluid and the borehole wall. The mathematical analysis method used for the response test is presented here. Results of the response test were verified, analyzed and are further discussed. 展开更多
