The hot corrosion behaviors of Ni–16Cr–xAl(x=4.5%, 6.8%, 9.0%, mass fraction) based alloys in Na2SO4–25% NaCl molten salts at 600 °C were investigated. The effects of pre-oxidation and Al content on the resistance to hot corrosion were examined. The hot corrosion resistance of Ni–16Cr–xAl based alloy with Al addition from 4.5% to 9.0% increases with increasing Al content. The alloy with Al content of 9.0% shows the highest hot corrosion resistance among the examined alloys because more β–NiAl phases are obtained to sustain the Al2O3 scale repaired during hot corrosion. Pre-oxidized specimens have a superior hot corrosion resistance compared with the as-cast specimens, due to a protective oxide scale formed after pre-treatment. 展开更多

A refractory gold concentrate with 19% arsenic was treated by a mixed moderately thermophiles in an airlift bioreactor through an adaptation protocol. The moderately thermophiles could respond well to 20%(w/v) pulp density with less than 10% loss of productivity, and resist arsenic up to 15 g/L. There were a lot of jarosite, arsenolite and sulfur, but not scorodite and ferric arsenate in the bioleached residue. Jarosite passivation and lower sulfur-oxidizing activity of the cells due to the toxicity of the high concentrations of soluble arsenic and iron ions at low p H value should mainly response for the incomplete extraction at high pulp density. The initial bacterial community did not change in nature except for new found P aeruginosa ANSC, but sulfur-oxidizing microorganisms have been dominant microorganisms after a long time of adaptation. Pseudomonas aeruginosa originating from the gold concentrate should be closely relative to the metabolism of the organic matters contained in the refractory gold concentrate. 展开更多

Flow visualization and hot-wire measurement techniques were combined to investigate the influence of the size and number of tabs on jet flow field and vortex structure generation mechanism. Streamwise vortices generated by the tabs of different sizes and numbers were observed from the flow visualization images. Combined with flow visualization, hot-wire measurement gave a quantitative insight of the effect of various tabbed jet flows. Instantaneous two-component velocity signals (longitudinal and transverse velocity components) at different cross sections along radius direction and streamwise direction with different tabbed jet nozzles were measured using hot-wire anemometer. Average flow field parameters of tabbed jet flow such as mean velocity, tur-bulence intensity, vorticity were analyzed and the effects of tabs with different sizes and numbers were compared with that of circular no-tab jet flow. It is revealed that the generation of a series of counter-rotating quasi-streamwise vortices, azimuthal vortices and double-row azi-muthal vortex are the reasons for mixing enhancement of tabbed turbulent jet flow. 展开更多

Electrical resistance stability of high content carbon fiber reinforced cement composite 被引量:1

The influences of curing time, the content of free evaporable water in cement paste, environmental temperature, and alternative heating and cooling on the electrical resistance of high content carbon fiber reinforced cement (CFRC) paste are studied by experiments with specimens of Portland cement 42.5 with 10 mm PAN-based carbon fiber and methylcellulose. Experimental results indicate that the electrical resistance of CFRC increases relatively by 24% within a hydration time of 90 d and almost keeps constant after 14 d, changes hardly with the mass loss of free evaporable water in the concrete dried at 50 °C, increases relatively by 4% when ambient temperature decreases from 15 °C to ?20 °C, and decreases relatively by 13% with temperature increasing by 88 °C. It is suggested that the electric resistance of the CFRC is stable, which is testified by the stable power output obtained by electrifying the CFRC slab with a given voltage. This implies that such kind of high content carbon fiber reinforced cement composite is potentially a desirable electrothermal material for airfield runways and road surfaces deicing. 展开更多

According to the action law of gas flow during injecting inert gases as the research main line, and hydromechanics and thermodynamics theories, the characteristic of gas delamination that was caused by injecting inert gases to closed fire zone was analyzed. The criterion was brought forward, which could scale disappearing probability of turbulent state. Formation mechanism of gas layer in turbulent state was discussed primarily. Simultaneously, the condition was pointed out, which could makc the gas in turbulent state by injecting different gases. The mathematical model about dynamic changes of oxygen and methane concentration in the process of injecting gases was erected. The mixture mechanism about injecting different flow inert gases and flammable gas layer in closed fire zone was revealed. 展开更多

It is difficult for polyethylene terephthalate (PET) to degrade,which caused severe pollution.In this work,polylactic acid (PLA) was introduced to improve the degradation of PET.PET/PLA was synthesized by extrusion blending.The thermal,crystalline and mechanical properties of blends were investigated with TGA,DSC,WAXD and universal testing machine.The degradation of the blends in soil,acid and alkaline buffer solutions was assessed,respectively.It was found that the introduction of a little PLA promoted crystallization of PET during injection molding process.The starting decomposition temperature lowered from 412.1 ℃ of pure PET to 330.4 ℃ at 50% PLA content,tensile and bending strength of blends gradually decreased with the PLA content increasing,while the degradation rate improved.Alkaline environment was most beneficial for blends to degrade.The degradation mechanism was discussed. 展开更多

For a circular lobed nozzle with the exit plane displaced from the center body,adding a central plug at exit or replacing the nozzle with an alternating-lobe nozzle can improve the mixing effectiveness.In this study,numerical investigations of jet mixing in the lobed nozzles with a central plug and alternating-lobe nozzles in pumping operation were conducted.The effects of the central plugs with the wake ranging from attached to separated flow on the mixing were analyzed,along with the mechanism of improving the mixing performance in a"sword"alternating-lobe nozzle.The simulation results reveal that the large-scale mixing rate,which is dominated by streamwise vortices,is related to the intensity of the attainable heat and mass transfer in the streamwise vortices.The effects of the streamwise vortices on the normal vortex ring are virtually a manifestation of the heat and mass transfer/mixing process of the streamwise vortices.The simulation results also show that the central plug with the attached rear-flow performs better in improving the mixing effectiveness and pumping performance;on the contrary,if the rear-flow is separated,more pressure loss will be induced.In particular,a completely separated flow over the rear of the central plug will severely degrade the attainable heat and mass transfer in the streamwise vortices.For the sword alternating-lobe nozzle,wider sword deep troughs help to increase the flux of the secondary stream around the core region and delay the confluence of the primary stream in the region between the deep and shallow troughs.Thus,the mixing is improved in the middle and posterior segments.Compared to the lobed nozzle with a central plug,the improved sword alternating-lobe nozzle can achieve a higher mixing effectiveness with much less pressure loss,which is preferred in situations when the power loss of the engine is restricted. 展开更多

A hybrid rocket can be used in various applications and is an attractive propulsion system. However, serious erosion of nozzles is common in motor firing operations, which could restrict the application of hybrid rocket motors. Usually, the serious erosion is attributed to the high concentration of oxidizing species in hybrid motors, while the details of flowfields in the motors are not paid special attention to. In this paper, first the thermochemical erosion of C/C nozzle is simulated coupled with the flowfields in a 98% H2O2/hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene(HTPB) hybrid rocket motor. The simulation is made on a typical axisymmetric motor, including a pre-combustion chamber, an aft-combustion chamber and nozzle structures. Thermochemica reactions of H2 O, CO2, OH, O and O2 with C are taken into account. Second, the change of flowfields due to fuel regression during motor firing operations is considered. Nozzle erosion in different flowfields is evaluated. Third, the results of nozzle erosion in the coupled simulation are compared with those under uniform and chemical equilibrium flow and motor firing test results. The results of simulation and firing tests indicate that the thermochemical erosion of nozzles in hybrid motors should be calculated coupled with flowfields in the motor. In uniform and chemical equilibrium flowfields, the erosion rate is overestimated. The diffusion flame in hybrid motors protects the nozzle surface from the injected oxidizer and high temperature products in flowfields, leading to a relatively fuel-rich environment above the nozzle. The influence of OH and the geometry of motor should also be considered in the evaluation of nozzle erosion in hybrid motors. 展开更多

The generator is the starter device of single stage heat transformer(SSHT) and its characteristics have main effects on the overall efficiency of this kind of absorption machines.This article reports a study of the generation of steam and changes in the concentration of the working solution(Water/Carrol mixture) into a plate heat exchanger as a function of its horizontal and vertical position by gravity effect.It is considered the analysis of six experimental tests;two were evaluated in a plate heat exchanger in a horizontal position and four in a vertical position(90 degree inclination).The generation of steam and increased concentration of the working solution are more sensitive to the vertical position of exchanger than in horizontal position.The results of numerical-experimental analysis indicates that a heat exchanger in horizontal position,the steam generation and the change in the concentration of the working solution occurring in the middle of the plate(or at greater distance depending to the thermodynamic conditions) and instantly in vertical position(at the input of the plate). 展开更多
