Reliability and wear resistance of cutting picks play a significant role in coal mine exploitation with coal shearers.Tool bit separation,blade breaking,severe erosion of the cutting body and fatigue fractures are the...Reliability and wear resistance of cutting picks play a significant role in coal mine exploitation with coal shearers.Tool bit separation,blade breaking,severe erosion of the cutting body and fatigue fractures are the main reasons for failure of cutting picks.We carried out carburization on a 30CrMnMo alloy to synthesize a new cutting pick material with improved mechanical properties and high wear resistance.The results indicated that carburization can effectively strengthen the surface of the 30CrMnMo alloy by forming a thick carburized layer and thus significantly improve the surface hardness and wear resistance.In addition,the excellent toughness of 30CrMnMo alloy as a substrate of cutting picks can prevent brittle ruptures and fatigue fractures under high impact stress conditions.The significant decrease in both frictional coefficient and rate of erosion of this carburized 30CrMnMo alloy suggests that this alloy is a potential material for cutting picks of coal shearers after rational carburization.展开更多

Divided into four phases as groundwater level descent, soil cavity formation, soil cavity expansion, and ground collapse emersion, the whole process of ground subsidence and collapse was analyzed in detail. The study shows that ground subsidence and collapse is the macro- scopic performance and inevitable result of the soil cavity expansion and development, and the dynamic mechanics is the spalling force induced by the groundwater falling. The activities of underground water play a very important role in the process from the formation of soil cavity to the production of ground subsidence.展开更多

Based on a Support Vector Machine (SVM) model, we built a regional geoid model with a Gaussian Radial Basis Function (RBF) and the technical scheme for GPS coal mine subsidence monitoring is presented to provide subsidence information for updating the regional Digital Elevation Model (DEM). The theory proposed was applied to monitor mining subsi- dence in an Inner Mongolia coal mine in China. The scheme established an accurate GPS reference net- work and a comprehensive leveling conjunction provided the normal height of all GPS control points. According to the case study, the SVM model to establish geoid-model is better than a polynomial fit or a Genetic Algorithm based Back Propagation (GA-BP)neural network. GPS-RTK measurements of coal mine subsidence information can be quickly acquired for updating the DEM.展开更多

The existing research results indicate that the special structure of the first working face of the mine begins to develop lengthways from stratum movement above mined areas and extends level in the exploitation direction. From existing overlying strata spatial structure fundamental research achievement, the spatial structure above the later period coal column surrounded by mined areas have following characteristic: The spatial structure formation is from the top to the lower and from large to small. According to the findings, a formula with the use of rock layer migration angle delta was put forward to estimate isolated island coal column width on which different stratum structure is gonging to form.展开更多
