The growth, fabrication, and characterization of a solar-blind A1GaN-based p-i-n back-illuminated photodetector with a high temperature A1N template are reported for the first time. The photodetector was fabricated from multilayer AIx Gal-xN films grown by MOCVD on double-polished c-plane (0001) sapphire substrates. Crack free, high A1 content (0.7) A1GaN multilayer structure,designed for the solar-blind p-i-n back-illuminated photodetector,was grown on a high temperature A1N template without a nuclear layer. The high quality of the epitaxial layers is demonstrated by in-situ optical reflectance monitoring curve, triple-axis X-ray diffraction, and atomic-force microscope. At a 1.8V bias, the processed p-i-n photodetector exhibits a solar-blind photoresponse with a maximum responsivity of 0. 0864A/W at 270nm. The photodetector exhibits a forward turn-on voltage at around 3.5V and a reverse breakdown voltage above 20V, and the leakage current is below 20pA for 2V reverse bias. 展开更多

LED, as a kind of device can convert electric power into visible light directly the homomorphism of semiconductor devices, with high efficiency and small energy consumption, good light quality, use safety, long service life, green environmental protection, flexible control as this is common lamps and lanterns is incomparable advantage. Therefore, it is considered to be 21 century of a new generation of lighting source. Based on the superiority of LED, it is widely applied in many fields of lighting. Nurse-staffing level and quality of acute care services:Evidence from cross-national panel data analysis in OECD countries 被引量:3

Background:Most of previous studies aimed to estimate the effect of nurse staffing on quality of acute hospital care have used stochastic methods and their results are mixed.Objective:To measure the magnitude of effect of nurse-staffing level on increasing quality of acute care services in long-run.Data:The number of practicing nurses'density per 1000 population as the proxy of nurse-staffing level and three Health Care Quality Indicators(HCQI)included 30-day mortality per 100 patients based on acute myocardial infarction(MORTAMIO),hemorrhagic stroke(MORTHSTO)and ischemic stroke(MORTISTO)were collected as a part of ongoing project by OECD.org in panels of 26 OECD countries over 2005-2015 period.Method:Panel data analysis.Results:There were committed relationships from nurse-staffing level to the enhancement of HCQI i.e.1%increase in nurse-staffing level would reduce the rates of patient mortality based on MORTAMIO,MORTHSTO and MORTISTO by 0.65%,0.60%and 0.80%,respectively.Furthermore,the role of nursestaffing level in increasing overall HCQI were simulated at the highest level in Sweden(-3.53),Denmark(-3.31),Canada(-2.59),Netherlands(-2.33),Finland(-2.09),Switzerland(-1.72),Australia(-1.64)and United States(-1.53).Conclusion:A higher proportion of nurses-staffing level is associated with higher quality of acute care services in OECD countries.Also,the nursing characteristics of Sweden,Denmark,Canada,Netherlands,Finland,Switzerland,Australia and United States would be good patterns for other countries to maximize nursing outcomes in the care of patients with acute and life-threatening conditions by reducing the risk of complication,mortality and adverse clinical outcomes. 展开更多

Limited Efficacy of Aspirin in Patients with Peripheral Arterial Occlusive Disease

It seems that it is most eff... Antiplatelet drugs represent one of the basic options for management of patients with different atherosclerotic diseases. Aspirin is the oldest and most often prescribed antiplatelet drug. It seems that it is most effective in coronary patients with clinically unstable disease, less effective in prevention of cerebrovascular incidents, and its efficacy is uncertain in peripheral artery disease (PAD) patients. One of the first meta-analysis indicated that antiplatelet drugs also significantly reduce cardiovascular events in patients with PAD. However, latest meta-analysis of randomized control trials of aspirin therapy involving patients with diabetes and PAD demonstrated no benefit of aspirin in reducing cardiovascular events. Also in patients with preclinical PAD aspirin did not result in a significant reduction of vascular events. The new anti-platelet drugs prasugrel, ticagrelol, picotamide seem to be more effective than aspirin in PAD patients, particularly in diabetic patients with PAD. However, evidence based data are scanty. New studies on PAD patients are necessary to better define the role of anti-platelet agents in these patient and one of the promising ways of access to anti-platelet treatment would be personalized anti-platelet therapy. 展开更多

The public lighting in the capital city Yaounde is an example of solar energy promotion. The purpose of this paper is among other things aiming at assessing the solar energy resources of central Africa and making sure it can be used optimally at least for public lighting. Based on the knowledge from data collected and field experience for three years, the authors will assess the implementation of the technology and show how the use of solar energy can solve some problems in the city of Yaounde even when the area is grid connected. This paper will also identify actions for improved access to sustainable, friendly, affordable solar energy services to users, as well as a significant improvement of energy infrastructure and energy efficiency in the city. The authors will also address issues on identified obstacles for the promotion of solar energy in order to help the cities in sub Saharan countries to develop a vision aiming at developing good solar energy policy and better contribute to fight against poverty and climate change. 展开更多

A scattering layer whose matrix was made of high refractive index glass was formed on a glass substrate, and pores in the glass matrix work as scattering centers. The out-coupling efficiency of an OLED using this substrate is 1.8 times higher compared with an OLED using an untreated glass substrate. Furthermore angular dependency of the color and color variation between panels can be successfully suppressed. 展开更多

Flexible laser display is a critical component for an information output port in next-generation wearable devices.So far,the lack of appropriate display panels capable of providing sustained operation under rigorous mechanical conditions impedes the development of flexible laser displays with high reliability.Owing to the multiple scattering feedback mechanism,random lasers render high mechanical flexibility to withstand deformation,thus making them promising candidates for flexible display planes.However,the inability to obtain pixelated random laser arrays with highly ordered emissive geometries hinders the application of flexible laser displays in the wearable device.Here,for the first time,we demonstrate a mass fabrication strategy of full-color random laser arrays for flexible display panels.The feedback closed loops can be easily fulfilled in the pixels by multiple scatterings to generate durative random lasing.Due to the sustained operation of random laser,the display performance was well-maintained under mechanical deformations,and as a result,a flexible laser display panel was achieved.Our finding will provide a guidance for the development of flexible laser displays and laser illumination devices. 展开更多
