Love movies are especially characteristic of arousing passion and enthusiasm in the audience for their emotional expression and exposition. There is no doubt that the theme and the fate of the characters in a good love movie can always help strike a chord in the heart of the audience, thus stimulating the audience’s desire to watch the movie. A good love movie always carries a good title. Therefore, the translation of the title of a love movie is crucial in helping the audience to look forward to watching the movie. This paper begins with the translation of love movie titles and analyzes the linguistic features of love movie titles. Then, the author discusses how to translate the title of a love movie by applying Skopos theory. First, it is necessary to target the audience of the love movie;second, it is necessary to understand the difference between the target language and the source language.
