We especially focused on the distribution and body condition o...The road effect on small rodent population is investigated at 8 fragmented forest areas in the Baekdudaegan mountain range, South Korea in September 2001. We especially focused on the distribution and body condition of small rodents near the roads. Korean field mouse (Apodemus peninsulae) seems to be more sensitive to the existence of a road than striped field mouse (Apodemus agrarius). Korean field mouse prefers interior forest area to around road. Striped field mouse is a habitat generalist and has wide distributional range around road, but Korean field mouse is forest-inhabiting species and their distribution is limited in forest area. These results suggest the effect of road is different on each small rodent species and their habitat preferences.展开更多

This filter work as antireflection coating in the near IR region and also includes a high colored reflectance at a specific wavelength in the visible region, this is to gain an esthetic aspect for the thermal solar collector which can be used as building facades by employing appropriate dielectric materials with high refractive index (H) like SiO2 and low refractive index (L) such as MgF2 which they deposited on glass substrate for quarterwave thickness and for the optical model air//HL//glass.展开更多
To improve the efficiency of nano-electronic device fabrication, a new method named floating electrical potential assembly is proposed to realize large-scale assembly of Cu/CuO nanowires, The simulation of floating el...To improve the efficiency of nano-electronic device fabrication, a new method named floating electrical potential assembly is proposed to realize large-scale assembly of Cu/CuO nanowires, The simulation of floating electrical potential distribution on the micro-electrode chip is performed by COMSOL software, and the simulation result shows that the coupled electrical poten- tial on the floating drain electrodes is very close to the original electrical potential applied on the gate electrode, whicb means that the method can provide di-electrophoresis (DEP) force for all the electrode pairs at one time, thus realizing large-scale as- sembly at one time. With Cu/CuO nanowires well dispersed and micro-electrode chip fabrication, nanowires assembly experiments are performed and the experimental results show that Cu/CuO nanowires are assembled at hundreds of micro-electrodes pairs at one time, and the success rate of nanowires assembly also reaches 90%.展开更多
This study presented a hybrid model method based on proper orthogonal decomposition(POD) for flow field reconstructions and aerodynamic design optimization. The POD basis modes have better description performance in a...This study presented a hybrid model method based on proper orthogonal decomposition(POD) for flow field reconstructions and aerodynamic design optimization. The POD basis modes have better description performance in a system space compared to the widely used semi-empirical basis functions because they are obtained through singular value decomposition of the system.Instead of the widely used linear regression, nonlinear regression methods are used in the function response of the coefficients of POD basis modes. Moreover, an adaptive Latin hypercube design method with improved space filling and correlation based on a multi-objective optimization approach was employed to supply the necessary samples. Prior to design optimization, the response performance of POD-based hybrid models was first investigated and validated through flow reconstructions of both single-and multiple blade rows. Then, an inverse design was performed to approach a given spanwise flow turning distribution at the outlet of a turbine blade by changing the spanwise stagger angle, based on the hybrid model method. Finally, the span wise blade sweep of a transonic compressor rotor and the spanwise stagger angle of the stator blade of a single low-speed compressor stage were modified to reduce the flow losses with the constraints of mass flow rate, total pressure ratio, and outlet flow turning.The results are presented in detail, demonstrating the good response performance of POD-based hybrid models on missing data reconstructions and the effectiveness of POD-based hybrid model method in aerodynamic design optimization.展开更多
