Digital Lock-in Amplifier Based on Microcontroller

A method of implementing high cost-effective and highly integrated digital lock-in amplifier with microcontroller is discussed. And the digital lock-in amplifier is more suitable for meastwing lowfrequency weak signal. Digital signal sequence is obtained through sampling signal measured over an integer number of signal periods, but digital reference sequence is acquired through mathematical operation, then digital phase sensitive detection can be implemented by calculating the cross-correlation function of digital signal sequence and digital reference sequence. In addition, the frequency response and phase character of the digital lock-in amplifier is analyzed. Finally, the designed digital lock-in amplifier is achieved. Expermental results show that the digital lock-in amplifier can be used for measuring weak signal with low ignal-to-noise ratio. 展开更多

Haliotis diversicolor Reeve is one of the most important mollusks cultured in South China. Preliminary genetic linkage maps were constructed with amplified fragment length polymorphism (AFLP) markers. A total of 2 596 AFLP markers were obtained from 28 primer combinations in two parents and 78 offsprings. Among them, 412 markers (15.9%) were polymorphic and segregated in the mapping family. Chi-square tests showed that 151 (84.4%) markers segregated according to the expected 1:1 Mendelian ratio (P<0.05) in the female parent, and 200 (85.8%) in the male parent. For the female map, 179 markers were used for linkage analysis and 90 markers were assigned to 17 linkage groups with an average interval length of 25.7 cm. For the male map, 233 markers were used and 94 were mapped into 18 linkage groups, with an average interval of 25.0 cm. The estimated genome length was 2 773.0 cm for the female and 2 817.1 cm for the male map. The observed length of the linkage map was 1 875.2 cm and 1 896.5 cm for the female and male maps, respectively. When doublets were considered, the map length increased to 2 152.8 cm for the female and 2 032.7 cm for the male map, corresponding to genome coverage of 77.6% and 72.2%, respectively. 展开更多

A fully automated atomic force microscope(AFM)is presented.The mechanical motion of the AFM stage was controlled by three steppers.The fine motion of the AFM was controlled by an MCL one-axis piezo plate.A32.768kHz crystal tuning fork(TF)was used as the transducer with a probe attached.An acoustic sensor was used to measure the interactions between the probe and the sample.An SR850lock-in amplifier was used to monitor the TF signals.An additional lock-in amplifier was used to monitor the acoustic signal.A field programmable gate array(FPGA)board was used to collect the data in automatic mode.The main controller was coded with LabVIEW,which was in charge of Z-axis scan,signal processing and data visualization.A manual mode and an automatic mode were implemented in the controller.Users can switch the two modes at any time during the operation.This AFM system showed several advantages during the test operations.It is simple,flexible and easy to use. 展开更多

A Monolithic integrated phase locked-loop (PLL) with a low phase noise is proposed in this paper. Several techniques are utilized to improve the performance of the PLL which works at the milli- meter-wave band. The on-chip high-Q eoplanar waveguides (CPWs) are utilized in the resonant tank and the differential current amplifier with a resonator is used to realize the VCO. In the output buffer circuit, several stages of cascaded source-followers connect and differential amplifiers are adopted to improve the driving capability of the PLL' s output signals. An improved analog multiplier topology is also used in the PD circuit to improve the gain of the PD. The proposed PLL is realized with a 0.2p, m GaAs pseudomorphie high electron mobility transistor (PHEMT) process. At 10 kHz offset from the center frequency, the measured output phase noise of the PLL output is only -88.83dBc/Hz. The circuit exhibits a low root mean sauare (RMS) litter of 1.68Ds. 展开更多
