In order to investigate 5,10-methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR)s polymorphic changes in psoriasis vulgaris. Methods. We detected mutation of site C677V of MTHFR in 39 psoriastics by PCR-RFLP. Results.Genotype frequencies of the psoriastics were C/C=20.15%,C/T=48.72% and T/T= 30.77%; the allelic frequencies were C=0.4487 and T=0.5513. Homozygous mutant (TT) of the psoriastics was significantly different from the normal control group by X2 test. Conclusion.C677V mutant of MTHFR might be related with psoriasis.展开更多

Methods: Lymphocytes in lesion and peripheral blood were isolated and amplified, then cultured together with normal keratinocytes. By MTT method, the living cells were quantified in the mixed culture. Results: Compared with normal controls, lymphocytes from lesion and peripheral blood of psoriasis both promote the proliferation of keratinocytes (P<0. 01 and P<0. 05 respectively). The concentrations of IL-2 and IFN-7 in the mixture of lesion lymphocytes and keratinocytes were significantly higher than that of controls. Tripterygium glycosides inhibited this promotion. Conclusion: Lymphocytes in patients with psoriasis (mainly Th1 cell) play an important role in proliferation of keratinocytes. This psoriasis cell model is useful for studies on signal transduction in psoriasis.展开更多

The author analyzed all aspects of CD. Contrary to common belief, this disorder is a systemic disease, rather than a pure digestive alteration. In fact, CD is associated with several diseases: skin manifestations, endocrine disorders, iron-deficiency anemia, osteoporosis, hypertransaminasemia, neurologic disorders and cancer. In the description of skin manifestations, the author reported the association between CD and dermatitis herpetiformis (DH). This condition affects about 15%-25% of patients with CD. Antibodies for CD have been detected in patients with DH. As CD and DH may be vastly different, they both share a unique intestinal sensitivity to gluten. The rash of DH is thought to be an external marker of the underlying intestinal sensitivity that is likely to be the result of molecular mimicry between the auto-antigen tissue transglutaminase resident in the gut and the skin derived epidermal transglutaminase[3]. However, our study group has reported all CD-associated skin manifestations described in the literature, and in particular psoriasis.展开更多

Changes of serum lipid metabolism may be the cause. Apolipoproteinsplay a central role in lipoprotein metabolism in serum. The measurement of serum apo levelsmay reveal the characteristics of lipoprotein metabolism in serum in patients with psoriasisand may help to find an answer to the cause of the high incidence of occlusive cardiovasculardiseases in psoriasis.Method. The apo levels of 31 patients with psoriasis vulgaris and 31 sex- and age-matched healthy individuals with normal serum lipid levels were measured by radial immuno-diffusion assay. Results’ The apo C Ⅲ (t= 2.44,P<0. 05) and apo E (t=2. 12, P<0. 05) of psoriat-ic group elevated significantly- The apo C Ⅲ(t= 2.77, P<0.01) of patients less than 40-year-old and apoE (t= 2. 91, P<0. 01) of male patients eIevated significantly. Conclusha. Abndrmal metabolism of lipoprotein in serum exist in psoriasis, especially inmale patients and/or patients less than 40 years old.展开更多
