However, the method depends on the input matrix mineral bulk modulus and the rationality of the two-phase medium model. We used the matrix mineral bulk modulus inversion method and multiple constraints to obtain a two-phase medium model with physical meaning. The proposed method guarantees the reliability of the obtained AVO characteristicsin two-phase media. By the comparative analysis of different lithology of the core sample, the advantages and accuracy of the inversion method can be illustrated. Also, the inversion method can be applied in LH area, and the AVO characteristics can be obtained when the porosity, fluid saturation, and other important lithology parameters are changed. In particular, the reflection coefficient amplitude difference between the fast P wave and S wave as a function of porosity at the same incidence angle, and the difference in the incidence angle threshold can be used to decipher porosity.展开更多

However, digested sludge, the residue produced in that process, still contains high levels of heavy metals and other harmful substances that might make traditional disposal difficult. We have devised a facile method of converting digested sludge into a mesoporous material that acts as an effective and stable heterogeneous catalyst for the photo‐Fenton reaction. A comparison of the removal of rhodamine B under different conditions showed that FAS‐1‐350, which was synthesized by mixing the digested sludge with a 1 mol/L(NH4)2Fe(SO4)2 solution followed by calcination at 350 °C, exhibited the best catalytic activity owing to its faster reaction rate and lower degree of Fe leaching. The results indicate that Fe^(2+)‐loaded catalysts have significant potential to act as stable and efficient heterogeneous promoters for the photo‐Fenton reaction, with better performance than Fe^3+‐loaded catalysts because the Fe(II)/Fe(III)compounds formed in the calcination process are necessary to sustain the Fenton reaction. This protocol provides an alternative, environmentally friendly method of reusing digested sludge and demonstrates an easily synthesized mesoporous material that effectively degrades azo dyes.展开更多

Several state‐of‐the‐art char‐acterization methods were performed to explore the correlation between catalytic performance and the physicochemical characterizations of the catalysts. Because moderate amounts of V species were introduced into the framework of MCM‐41, the catalyst maintained a large specific surface area, a highly ordered mesoporous structure, and highly dispersed V active sites(monomeric and dimeric V oxide species), while the high‐vanadium‐doping catalysts caused an enhancement in the number of acidic sites and V2O5 crystallites. The ODHP reaction showed that the 6.8 V‐MCM‐41(V content 6.8 wt%) catalyst exhibits high activity and stability, and the C3H8/CO2 molar ratio(1:4) was suitable. The promoting effect of CO2 on the oxidative dehydrogenation of ODHP was demonstrated as the reaction coupling mechanism and "lattice oxygen" mechanism.展开更多

The Pt nanoparticles were highly dispersed in the CMK-3 with 43.7% dispersion. The Pt/CMK-3 catalyst was an effective catalyst for the liquid-phase hydrogenation of nitrobenzene and its derivatives under the experimental conditions studied here. The Pt/CMK-3 catalyst was more active than commercial Pt/C catalyst in most cases. A highest turnover frequency of 43.8 s-1 was measured when the Pt/CMK-3 catalyst was applied for the hydrogenation of 2-methyl-nitrobenzene in ethanol under optimal conditions. It is worthy of note that the Pt/CMK-3 catalyst could be recycled easily, and could be reused at least fourteen times without any loss in activity or selectivity for the hydrogenation of nitrobenzene in ethanol.展开更多

Two types of representative vehicles, remotely operated vehicle (ROV) and autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) from University of South Florida, are discussed. Two individual modular sensor packages designed and tested for these platforms and field measurement results are also presented. The bottom classification and albedo package, BCAP, provides fast and accurate estimates of bottom albedos, along with other parameters such as in-water remote sensing reflectance. The real-time ocean bottom optical topographer, ROBOT, reveals high-resolution 3-dimentional bottom topography for target identification. Field data and results from recent Coastal Benthic Optical Properties field campaign, 1999 and 2000, are presented. Advantages and limitations of these vehicles and applications of modular sensor packages are compared and discussed.展开更多

In...There are some curved interfaces in ocean acoustic waveguides. To compute wave propagation along the range with some marching methods, a flattening of the internal interfaces and a transforming equation are needed. In this paper a local orthogonal coordinate transform and an equation transformation are constructed to flatten interfaces and change the Helmholtz equation as a solvable form. For a waveguide with a flat top, a fiat bottom and n curved interfaces, the coefficients of the transformed Helmholtz equation are given in a closed formulation which can be thought of as an extension of the formal work related to the equation transformation with two curved internal interfaces. In the transformed horizontally stratified waveguide, the one-way reformulation based on the Dirichlet-to-Neumann (DtN) map is then used to reduce the boundary value problem to an initial value problem. Numerical implementation of the resulting operator Riccati equation uses a large range step method to discretize the range variable and a truncated local eigenfunction expansion to approximate the operators. This method is particularly useful for solving long range wave propagation problems in slowly varying waveguides. Furthermore, the method can also be applied to wave propagation problems in acoustic waveguides associated with varied density.展开更多

It is worthy of note that the Pt/CMK-3 catalyst could be recycled easily, and could be reused at least fourteen times without any loss in activity or selectivity for the hydrogenation of nitrobenzene in ethanol.

文摘The advantages of using unmanned underwater vehicles in coastal ocean studies are emphasized. Advantages and limitations of these vehicles and applications of modular sensor packages are compared and discussed.

文摘There are some curved interfaces in ocean acoustic waveguides. Furthermore, the method can also be applied to wave propagation problems in acoustic waveguides associated with varied density.
