But such fertilizers clearly pollute the plant and the yield. To eliminate such health hazards, an experiment was done by placing a plant inside an electromagnetic solenoid which has an arrangement to apply oscillatory magnetic field. It has been found that leafs are wilted due to loss of water from roots (since plucked from ground) exhibiting xanthophyl synthesis after about 60 minutes of oscillation. This phenomena clearly shows an increase in rate of ascent of the sap and hence the pulse rate. This action follows due to the resultant dominating effect of its diamagnetic water (90-95%). Now, if the field is made stimulatory, the pulse rate becomes abrupt, which in turn increases the growth of the plant and its yields. Therefore, ifa farming-field is divided into several small sections with arrangements of applying stimulatory magnetic field, then the plant's growth becomes almost similar as found by use of fertilizers. Hence, the stimulatory magnetic field can take over the use of fertilizers in plant's growth, saving us not only from their health hazards but also from millions of rupees spent in their production.展开更多

The essential oils were isolated by water and steam, hydro, ethanol, and 3methanol: lethanol distillations. Moreover, we also compared the efficacy of these various distillations with commercial peppermint oil. Essential oils were tested in vitro against three pathogen bacteria species by sensitivity test include disc diffusion assay (DD), minimal inhibition concentration (MIC) and maximal bactericidal concentration (MBC). Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus and Salmonella typhimurium were used in this investigation. The results showed that the water and steam distillation and 3methanol: lethanol under tested by DD assay was found to be effective against all the pathogenic bacteria, in which the zone of inhibition exhibited E. coil S. aureus and S. typhimurium were 9.67 ± 0.35, 11.67 ± 0.66, 18.0± 1.15 and 9.00 ± 0.05, 8.3 ± 0.35, 19.0 ± 0.00 ram, respectively. While the hydro and ethanol distillations did action to against only E. coli which the inhibition zones were 8.67 ± 0.66 and 8.67 ± 0.35 mm, respectively. However, the commercial oil was more effective against tested pathogenic bacteria than all M. cordifolia essential oil. In case of MIC and MBC assays, the results showed that all essential oil distillation methods posed antibacterial potential in which the water and steam distillation showed the lowest MIC and MBC values against E. coli, S. aureus and S. typhimurium. It is suggested that among all M. cordifolia essential oil extractions, water and steam distillation was found to be highly bactericidal as it has shown in lowest MIC and MBC values and high in growth inhibition zone diameter.展开更多

Besides conventional soil cultivation, reduced tillage with incorporated chopped straw, and direct drilling into untilled soil covered with mulch, were also used. The following biopreparations were applied: Supresivit (Trichoderma harzianum), Polyversum (Pythium oligandrum), and Trianum P (a different strain ofTrichoderma harzianum). Attention was focused on the foliar fungi pathogens Drechslera tritici-repentis, Septoria tritici, and Alternaria triticina, as well as on the soil-borne pathogenic fungi of the genus Fusarium.展开更多

Prior unification attempts at laws/standards set the basis for such research fields towards researching, labeling, marketing and instructions for use. Considering this, the typical gram- matical modifiers "biodegradable", "resorbable" "absorbable", along with their noun forms used in the decades of scien- tific research have been reviewed and explained, interdiscipli- nary in chemistry, ecology, materials science, biology, micro- biology, medicine, and based on usage customs, laws, stan- dards and markets. The term "biodegradable" has been not only used in biomaterials but also in ecology waste manage- ment, biomedicine and even natural environment. Mean- while, the term "resorbable" has long been used in biological reaction (osteoclast driven bone resorption), but is inappro- priate for implants that do not carry the potential to grow back into their original form. The term "absorbable" focuses more on the host metabolism to the foreign biodegradation products of the implanted material/device compared with the term "degradable/biodegradable". Meanwhile the coherence and normalization of the term "absorbable" carried by its own in laws and standards contributes as well. In general, the au- thors consider the term "absorbable" to be the best grammat- ical modifier with respect to other adjectives which share the same inherence. A further internationally unified usage is proposed by us.展开更多
