The results show that the intermetallic layer is composed of major Fe2Al5 and minor FeAl3. The Al-Fe-Si ternary phase, rl/rg, is formed in the Fe2Al5 layer. The tongue-like morphology of the Fe2Als layer becomes less distinct and disappears finally as the content of Si in aluminum bath increases. Si in the bath improves the prohibiting ability to the growth of Fe2Als and FeAl3. When the contents of Si are 0, 0.5%, 1.0%, 1.5%, 2.0% and 3.0%, the activation energies of Fe2Al5 are evaluated to be 207, 186, 169, 168, 167 and 172 kJ/mol, respectively. The reduction of the activation energy might result from the lattice distortion caused by Si atom penetrating into the Fe2Al5 phase. When Si atom occupies the vacancy site, it blocks easy diffusion path and results in the disappearance of tongue-like morphology.展开更多

Five kinetic models were used to fit the dynamic process of the diffusion of chloride ions in the soils. It was found that Elovich equation or power function equation was the best model to describe the process. The pseudothermodynamic parameters, i. e. the net reaction energyl the activation entropy, activation enthalpy and activation free energy of the diffusion, were derived from the absolute reaction-rate theory. The results showed that these parameters decreased in the order of loessal soil > black in soil >lou soil > yellow cinnamon soil, which indicated that the force and the heat-energy barrier to be overcome for diffusion decreased, the diffusion rate increased and the disorder of the soil-solution-ion system due to diffusion decreased successively with the texture becoming heavier in the four soils.展开更多

The objective of this study was to evaluate the long-term (17 years) effect of five doses of MSW addition on the microbiological, biochemical, and physical properties of semiarid soil. Increased values of several parameters that serve as indicators of general microbiological activity, such as, basal respiration, adenosine triphosphate (ATP) or dehydrogenase activity; microbial population size (microbial biomass C), and extracellular hydrolase activity related to macronutrient cycles, such as, urease, 3-glucosidase, and N-a-benzoyl-L-argininamide protease, were observed in the amended soils. The highest MSW doses showed the highest values in these hydrolase activities. The incorporation of municipal waste resulted in a more dense development of the plant cover, 50% greater in higher doses than in the control treatment, which generated a substantial increase in several C fractions. Total organic carbon reached 12 g kg^-1 soil with the highest MSW doses, compared to 4.30 g kg^-1 soil in the control treatment. The physical properties of the soil were also improved, showing greater percentage of stable aggregates and water holding capacity. Positive correlation coefficients between C fractions and parameters related to microbial activity and aggregate stability were observed. Although these improvements were greater in the soils receiving the highest doses of organic amendment, the increases were not proportional to the amount added, demonstrating the existence of a threshold, above which an increase in the amount of organic matter added is not reflected in an increase in the soil's physical, biochemical, and microbiological properties. However, the addition of municipal solid wastes proved its suitability for improving soil quality, thereby indicating the potential of such an amendment, to prevent desertification in Mediterranean areas such as those studied.展开更多

Compared with pharmacological therapy alone, the so-called "ablate and pace" approach offers the potential for more robust control ofven- tricular rate. Atrioventricular junction ablation and pacing strategy is associated with improvement in symptoms, quality of life, and exercise capacity. Given the close relationship between atrial fibrillation and heart failure, there is a particular benefit of such a rate control in patients with atrial fibrillation and reduced systolic fimction. There is increasing evidence that cardiac resynchronization therapy devices may be beneficial in selected populations after atrioventricular junction ablation. The present review article focuses on the current recommendations for atrioventricular junction ablation and pacing for heart rate control in patients with atrial fibrillation. The technique, the optimal implanta- tion time, and the proper device selection after atrioventricular junction ablation are also discussed.展开更多

Methods: (1) The minimal inhibition concentrations of panipenem/betamipron were determined in 247 clinical isolates by agar dilution method. The minimal bactericidal concentrations of panipenem/betamipron for some clinical isolates were also determined. (2) Twenty cases of pulmonary infection were treated with intravenous dripping of panipenem/betamipron at 500/500 mg every 12 h for 3-7 d. Panipenem/betamipron concentration in the plasma was consecutively measured, and bacterial culture was conducted and the efficacy was evaluated. Results: (1) The in vitro antimicrobial activity of panipenem/betamipron was almost the same as that of panipenem, indicating that panipenem played the major role in antimicrobial reaction. Panipenem/betamipron had a strong antimicrobial activity against Staphylococcus aureus including methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, β-Streptococcus hemolytic, Streptococcus pneumonia, micrococcus, Escherichia coli and Klebsiea pneumonia. The drug also showed a potent effect against Haemophilus influenzae,Enterobacter cloacae, Proteus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa (2) The peak value of panipenem/betamipron in plasma was (30.25±5.43) mg/L and the level decreased to (0.66±0.34) mg/L 6 h later. The half-life of distribution and elimination of panipenem in the plasma was (0.34±0.18) h and (1.42±0.31) h, respectively. (3) The eradication rate of bacteria was 77.8% and the effective healing rate was 75%. No adverse drug reaction was found. Conclusion: Panipenem/betamipron has a strong antimicrobial activity against clinical isolates and is effective and safe for treatment of pulmonary infection.展开更多

Rock bolt steel changes over the last decade appear to have not reduced the incidence of failures. A broadened UNSW research project funded by the Australian Research Council(ARC) and Industry has targeted finding the environmental causes through extensive field and laboratory experiments. This paper describes the field studies conducted in underground coal mines,in particular attempts to measure the contribution to corrosion from groundwater, mineralogy and microbial activity. Various underground survey techniques were used to determine the extent of broken bolts, with the presence of both stress corrosion cracking(SCC) and localized deep pitting making no single technique suitable on their own.Groundwater found dripping from bolts across various coalfields in Australia were found to be not aggressive and known groundwater corrosivity classification systems did not correlate to where broken bolts were found. In-hole coupon bolts placed in roof strata containing claystone bands confirmed the clay as being a major contributor to corrosion. Microbes capable of contributing to steel corrosion were found to be present in groundwater, and culturing of the microbes taken from in-situ coupon bolts proved that the bacteria was present on the bolt surface. An ‘in-hole bolt corrosion coupon' development by the project may have multiple benefits of (1) helping quantify newly developed corrosivity classification systems,(2) providing an in-situ ground support corrosion monitoring tool, and (3) for testing possible corrosion protection solutions.展开更多

In forest growing conditions on fertile soils (ASG, TSC and SP) the total amount of biomass produced by young birch stands divides into fractions as follows: stem wood 51.8%-59.5%; branch wood 9.8%-12.4%; foliage 5.7%-6.8%; stump wood and roots 25%-30%. In forest types on lean soils (TP) the same indices are 32.3%-41.8%, 18.2%-24.2%, 13.2%-16.1% and 26.8%-27.4%, respectively. The stand performance closely correlates with the basic nutrient (P, N, K, C and Mg) availability in forest soils. In lean typicpodzol soils (TP) the content of mineral nutrients is no higher than 20%-48% of that in more fertile soils (ASG, TSC and SP). In young birch stands the take-up of mineral nutrients from 0-40 cm soil layer for developing the above-ground biomass makes a fairly small proportion of the total: up to 4.8%-6.2% for P; 4.9%-12.2% for N; 1.1%-4.1% for K; 11.6% for Ca; 0.8%-7.7% for Mg; in leaner soils the same indices are P 0.1%-0.4%, N 1%-1.5%, K 0.2%-0.6%, Ca 0.1%-0.9%, Mg 0.1%-0.8%, respectively. The analyses of pest damages in young birch stands confirm a hypothesis that the degree of pest damage depends on the stand vitality as described by the site index.展开更多

The young trees were grown at a spacing of 25 cm × 1.0 m on a podzolic soil. The study focused on the differences in diameter and height of the maiden stock, the branch number, lateral shoots in the crown and their length, among treatments with various bioproducts applied to the maidens once or twice, such as granulated manure, Micosat, Humus UP (humus cultivated), Humus Active + Aktywit PM (positive microorganisms), BioFeed Amin, BioFeed Quality, Tytanit and Vinassa. The control maidens were not fertilized at all, or fertilized with NPK (nitrogen, potassium, phosphorus). The first time when these products were applied in the nursery was mid-May, and the second time was one month later. Repeating the application of humic preparations (vermiculites) and a formulation containing mycorrhizal fungi (Micosat) gave better results than applying them only once, but in the case of BF Quality and the preparation Tytanit treating the plants for the second time did not increase their growth vigour compared to the plants treated only once. And the effectiveness of the biopreparations was different for the treated cultivars changed.展开更多

This study aimed to evaluate the antioxidant activity of Isabella grape juices from the tropical semi-arid climate produced in Brazil on March and September, 2010. Total phenolics and anthocyanins were determined, as well as the antioxidant capacity by DPPH, FRAP and hydrophilic ORAC methods. Test T was used to compare statistical difference at 5% of significance level. As expected, the results showed that the season can play a significant role on phenolics content and antioxidant power. Polyphenols content in juices varied from 82.9 ± 0.92 to 102.2± 1.59 mg GAE 100 mL1- and anthocyanins content ranged from 44.3 ± 2.01 to 129.5 ± 2.82 mg cyanidin-3-glucoside 100 mL-1. Regression analyses showed a high correlation of antioxidant capacity and anthocyanins content. Grapes from Sao Francisco River Valley demonstrated to be a good source of antioxidant for human diet.展开更多

The results showed that these parameters decreased in the order of loessal soil > black in soil >lou soil > yellow cinnamon soil, which indicated that the force and the heat-energy barrier to be overcome for diffusion decreased, the diffusion rate increased and the disorder of the soil-solution-ion system due to diffusion decreased successively with the texture becoming heavier in the four soils.

文摘The addition of municipal solid wastes (MSW) is considered as a possible strategy for soil rehabilitation in southeast Spain. However, the addition of municipal solid wastes proved its suitability for improving soil quality, thereby indicating the potential of such an amendment, to prevent desertification in Mediterranean areas such as those studied.
文摘Atrioventricular junction ablation with permanent pacemaker implantation is a highly effective treatment approach in patients with atrial fibrillation and high ventricular rates resistant to other treatment modalities, especially in the elderly or those with severe comorbidities. The technique, the optimal implanta- tion time, and the proper device selection after atrioventricular junction ablation are also discussed.

文摘Objective: To investigate the in vitro antimicrobial activity of panipenem/betamipron to common clinical isolates, determine its pharmacokinetics in patients with pulmonary infection and evaluate its effectiveness and safety in treatment of pulmonary infection. Conclusion: Panipenem/betamipron has a strong antimicrobial activity against clinical isolates and is effective and safe for treatment of pulmonary infection.

文摘University of New South Wales(UNSW Australia) had been involved in the study of premature failure of rock bolts in Australia coal mines from the initial identification of the problem in 1999. An ‘in-hole bolt corrosion coupon' development by the project may have multiple benefits of (1) helping quantify newly developed corrosivity classification systems,(2) providing an in-situ ground support corrosion monitoring tool, and (3) for testing possible corrosion protection solutions.
文摘The data of field studies about mineral nutrient content in the biomass components of young birch stands (9-15 years old) in different forest growing conditions and soil types have been analyzed. The analyses of pest damages in young birch stands confirm a hypothesis that the degree of pest damage depends on the stand vitality as described by the site index.

文摘A study was conducted in an organic nursery in 2010 and 2011 on the maiden growth of sour cherry cultivars "Debreceni Botermo" and "Sabina" grafted on Mahaleb cherry seedlings (Prunus mahaleb L.). And the effectiveness of the biopreparations was different for the treated cultivars changed.
文摘Grapes are important sources of antioxidants compounds and one of the most used varieties to elaborate juices is "Isabel", or "Isabella", as it is called in North-America. Grapes from Sao Francisco River Valley demonstrated to be a good source of antioxidant for human diet.
