Tm experiment showed that the compounds had interacted with RNA, and CD spectra also observed the changes of RNA conformation induced by the compounds. Cytometric flow analysis indicated that ribavirin and DII-18-2 could decrease the percentage of hypodiploid cells, especially ribavirin. 展开更多

Jacquard image segmentation using Mumford-Shah model

Jacquard image segmentation is one of the primary steps in image analysis for jacquard pattern identification. The main aim is to recognize homogeneous regions within a jacquard image as distinct, which belongs to different patterns. Active contour models have become popular for finding the contours of a pattern with a complex shape. However, the performance of active contour models is often inadequate under noisy environment. In this paper, a robust algorithm based on the Mumford-Shah model is proposed for the segmentation of noisy jacquard images. First, the Mumford-Shah model is discretized on piecewise linear finite element spaces to yield greater stability. Then, an iterative relaxation algorithm for numerically solving the discrete version of the model is presented. In this algorithm, an adaptive triangular mesh is refined to generate Delaunay type triangular mesh defined on structured triangulations, and then a quasi-Newton numerical method is applied to find the absolute minimum of the discrete model. Experimental results on noisy jacquard images demonstrated the efficacy of the proposed algorithm. 展开更多

Application of Empirical Mode Energy to the Analysis of Fluctuating Signals

After an aerial object enters the water, physical changes to sounds in the water caused by the accompanying bubbles are quite complex. As a result, traditional signal analyzing methods cannot identify the real physical object. In view of this situation, a novel method for analyzing the sounds caused by an aerial object’s entry into water was proposed. This method analyzes the vibrational mode of the bubbles by using empitical mode decomposition. Experimental results showed that this method can efficiently remove noise and extract the broadband pulse signal and low-frequency fluctuating signal, producing an accurate resolution of entry time and frequency. The Unruh effect is one of the most fundamental manifestations of the fact that the particle content of a field theory is observer dependent. However, there has been so far no experimental verification of this effect, as the associated temperatures lie far below any observable threshold. Recently, physical phenomena, which are of great experimental challenge, have been investigated by quantum simulations in various fields. Here we perform a proof-of-principle simulation of the evolution of ferrnionic modes under the Unruh effect with a nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) quantum simulator. By the quantum simulator, we experimentally demonstrate the behavior of Unruh temperature with acceleration, and we fiarther investigate the quantum correlations quantified by quantum discord between two fermionic modes as seen by two relatively accelerated observers. It is shown that the quantum correlations can be created by the Unrtfia effect from the classically correlated states. Our work may provide a promising way to explore the quantum physics of accelerated systems. 展开更多
