In order to extract the fault feature of the bearing effectively and prevent the impact components caused by bearing damage being interfered with by discrete frequency components and background noise,a method of fault...In order to extract the fault feature of the bearing effectively and prevent the impact components caused by bearing damage being interfered with by discrete frequency components and background noise,a method of fault feature extraction based on cepstrum pre-whitening(CPW)and a quantitative law of symplectic geometry mode decomposition(SGMD)is proposed.First,CPW is performed on the original signal to enhance the impact feature of bearing fault and remove the periodic frequency components from complex vibration signals.The pre-whitening signal contains only background noise and non-stationary shock caused by damage.Secondly,a quantitative law that the number of effective eigenvalues of the Hamilton matrix is twice the number of frequency components in the signal during SGMD is found,and the quantitative law is verified by simulation and theoretical derivation.Finally,the trajectory matrix of the pre-whitening signal is constructed and SGMD is performed.According to the quantitative law,the corresponding feature vector is selected to reconstruct the signal.The Hilbert envelope spectrum analysis is performed to extract fault features.Simulation analysis and application examples prove that the proposed method can clearly extract the fault feature of bearings.展开更多
In this paper we study the algorithms and their parallel implementation for solving large-scale generalized eigenvalue problems in modal analysis.Three predominant subspace algorithms,i.e.,Krylov-Schur method,implicit...In this paper we study the algorithms and their parallel implementation for solving large-scale generalized eigenvalue problems in modal analysis.Three predominant subspace algorithms,i.e.,Krylov-Schur method,implicitly restarted Arnoldi method and Jacobi-Davidson method,are modified with some complementary techniques to make them suitable for modal analysis.Detailed descriptions of the three algorithms are given.Based on these algorithms,a parallel solution procedure is established via the PANDA framework and its associated eigensolvers.Using the solution procedure on a machine equipped with up to 4800processors,the parallel performance of the three predominant methods is evaluated via numerical experiments with typical engineering structures,where the maximum testing scale attains twenty million degrees of freedom.The speedup curves for different cases are obtained and compared.The results show that the three methods are good for modal analysis in the scale of ten million degrees of freedom with a favorable parallel scalability.展开更多
Sensitivities of eigen-solutions to control variables play an important role in microgrid studies,such as coordinated optimal design of controllers and parameters,robust stability analysis on control variables,oscilla...Sensitivities of eigen-solutions to control variables play an important role in microgrid studies,such as coordinated optimal design of controllers and parameters,robust stability analysis on control variables,oscillation modes analysis on a system,etc.Considering the importance of sensitivities and the complexity of state matrix in a microgrid,parameter perturbations are utilized in this paper to analyze the construction characteristics of state matrix.Then,the sensitivities of eigenvalues and eigenvectors to control variables are obtained based on the first-order matrix perturbation theory,which makes the complex derivations of sensitivity formulas and repeated solutions of eigenvalue problem unnecessary.Finally,the effectiveness of the matrix perturbation based approach for sensitivity calculation in a microgrid is verified by a numerical example on a low-voltage microgrid prototype.展开更多
